  You can either download the ISO pre-built you want to burn to a CD and then boot from the CD, or you can download the automatic installer of the USB. What this will do is format your USB drive, make a boot device and then install the necessary files. Both do the same job, it's just you that you choose, or you have available (be it CD or USB).

• Need help, can't activate Windows 8 Pro on HP 3125

  I got a netbook HP 3125 which has an AMD E2 APU, 4 GB ram, 320 HARD and Windows 8 Pro disc and would use for about a month and well. Recently, I decided to update my ram and anything by doing this, I also decided to upgrade to an SSD HARD drive.

  I changed the HARD drive out and installed the SSD, but the BIOS doesn't detect so I disabled the Secure Boot, boot enable Legacy and then proceed to installing a custom installation of Windows 8 Pro using a USB key.

  After installation, it asked me a product key, which I find it weird because Windows 8 does not come with product key labels, since it is built into the bios.

  My problem is, how do I activate my Windows 8 Pro, when it keeps asking me for a product key that I don't have?

  Also, I noticed in the BIOS, it is sometimes called 'Key to load HP factory default', but I can only do this when secure startup is enabled.

  Embedded product key Windows 8 has something to do with the secure boot, for example, if the Secure Boot is disabled, then Windows 8 will not activate?

  Secure boot has nothing to do with the activation of Windows 8 or not with the COA embedded (product key) which is in the bios.

  Here's what I did, just note that this method may not be appropriate measures, but it still works. And different systems configurations, may require different or additional measures. Also, this method may or may not work with all systems.

  for example, the brand or the system you may or may not work with the steps posted in this thread.

  If you have a Windows 8 with a product key that is located on a sticky label, this does not apply to you. It's only for those who have purchased a brand name with Windows 8 system, and it does not come with a sticker product key.

  Components used in this tutorial

  -3125 Netbook HP: AMD E2/6 GB/Intel of the Commission 330 120 GB SSD/F27 bios (later at the time of this tutorial)

  -Microsoft Windows 8 Professional 64-bit (original) disc

  I have a HP Pavillion Dv5 laptop. Recently, I've erased the hard drive with DBAN (DoD wipe). Prior to that, I made sure to create recovery discs. After the wipe, I inserted the recovery disks to start the process of relocation. Once the disks are inserted, the Recovery Manager loads up. I selected the recovery option. He informs me he will reformat the hard drive and copy the new files to the HARD drive. It passes by the process, asks me to insert the disc 1 to 4 (approximately 30 minutes to complete). Once he finished with the 4th disk, it ejects and tells me to remove the floppy disk and restart the computer to complete the installation. Once I do and restart the computer, a black screen with white writing rises and doesn't say: "no boot device found - insert the boot disk to continue. If I put the boot in BACK disk, everything starts the process again. I looked in the bios and boot order seems to be correct (CD, then the HARD drive). Also, I had my hard drive enabled, several diagnostic ran on it and she passed every time. That tells me that it is not a problem with the HARD drive is damaged. I did some reading around the internet and can't seem to find an answer to this problem. Any help is very appreciated!

• I have 2 problems-how can I activate my Add ons and how to uninstall Windows Anti Virus. I need help, please.

  I have Windows XP 32-bit with IE8 Add ons.  I mainly use Firefox Mozilla for my browser and Yahoo as my home page.  Anyway, I have tried all the support and help guide and technicians told me to do to get add ons to open and activate but in vain.  This computer was given to me as a profession, and it was used in a Bank, so I think that the system administrator has disabled the add ons.  I myself as an administrator and use the tips and tricks given windows and Microsoft, but I always run up a wall.  I need help, please.
  I also need to know how to uninstall Windows antivirus software.  I can't find anywhere on my computer.  I feel really stupid and he is probably right in front of my face, but I can't find it to uninstall.  I have McAfee that I paid dearly for if I want to use it until it expires.

  If you manage to somehow move to Win7, you will always have an infected computer.

  The ONLY way to solve the problem is by formatting the current hard drive and do a clean installation of Windows, whether it is WinXP or Win7.

  The ONLY way you can do a clean install of Windows XP if you have disks that came with the computer or if by chance, there is a hidden partition restore (not to be confused with the system restore).

  If your kids er - well & their spouses are going to spend money on a new HARD drive, they'be be better spend on a low-end Windows 7 computer and brand-new (for example, a netbook or a mini).

  NB: Any data on your Windows XP computer must be considered 100% reliable! (This includes all of your usernames and passwords, for example, those used for online banking, etc.) You do NOT want to put ALL the data from Windows XP to a new computer or HARD disk.
