• Problem with the Archive log in Oracle 11 g

  I'm new in the DBA role and I have real problems with the archive logs - they are written to the wrong place.
  This is my environment:
  Windows Server 2003 Enterprise x 64 Edition; Oracle 11g EE + ASM;
  I did everything according to the instructions.
  I did the following:
  1. install Oracle 11 g software
  2 instance created using DBCA for ASM in the same House and added a no formatted disk as a DATA disk group
  3 database instance created using DBCA mode archive using ASM for data files. I've mirrored controlfiles and redo online records on the C: drive. I created flash_recovery_area and a reference to it when the instance was created.
  4. start to import the data.
  
  And here's the problem - for an unknown to me reason archive logs are written on 2 places: 1. in the flash_recovery_area, 2; IN MY ORACLE_HOME!
  
  I opened with EM dbconsole init settings and found that there is a single parameter, that points to this place (standby_archive_dest =' docs in the % ORACLE_HOME%\RDBMS, it is written that it is an obsolete parameter). Is another parameter that I found (LOG_ARCHIVE_LOCAL_FIRST = TRUE - I put it to FALSE), but nothing to help continue to write in ORACLE_HOME.
  
  How can I stop it? If I can't stop, so what happens in production? Should I manually delete all newspapers of this Archive - it will be madness!

  Try to set log_archive_dest_1 specifically. Example: -.

  Hi, guys!
  
  I have tried for two days, but still can't make it work.
  I took a hot (online) full backup archive as well as the control file logs with the SPFILE and then copy the backup to the new host with the same directory structure and parameters. Finally, I tried to restore and recover the database on the new host, but failed during the restore process.
  
  The original host and the new host have the same subject Oracle installed until the patch level. I couldn't understand the solution to this problem based on my knowledge on Oracle DB.
  
  Could someone help me out here? Any advice would be appreciated!

In a backup cold (assuming that the CLOSURE was not a SURRENDER but was NORMAL, TRANSACTIONAL, or IMMEDIATE) all files in the database (data files, redo log and controlfiles files) are 'compatible' - at the same point in time, to the same SCN. In a hot backup, the files are updated. RMAN is not necessarily take all the data files at the same time - for example when you have several data files, RMAN would backup the files in batches of 4 or 8 - data files are therefore controlled at different points in time. Similarly, the controlfile is saved last.

  I really hope that someone can help as I have spent HOURS trying to solve this thing with Palm Desktop (DP). My family lives and breathes out of this Palm.

  First of all, I have a Palm Treo phone for half of the year, but a user palm for 4-5 years. I used Datebk6 with absolutely no problem. About three months ago my phone got wet and shorted dirty keyboard. I ordered a new keyboard, installed, and everything was fine. Not sure if this is related, but mentioning the bears.

  Then a few weeks, something has happened. I'm not sure if I've updated something or another user of the computer in the House has done something. Palm desktop, account opening, two icons on the left side of "Palm Desktop" - media and install. No calendar, notes, tasks, all functions that I use. I couldn't print calendars more.

  So first, I uninstalled the Democratic Party amd reinstalled the period off the drive. The Democratic Party looked decent with a calendar, etc., but this version had the "quick installation".   What happens if at the command prompt just type "java-version" of your command prompt?

  If it does not, you must do one of two things.

  1. install Java v1.6 (32-bit only)

  What version of Windows are you using?
  Please check this thread on the forum for Games for Windows.  It is a similar problem with the same error as yours.  Try the steps you propose to see one of them will help to solve your problem.  This is most likely a problem to produce a Games for Windows client.  Have you installed this recently too?

Did a system restore and that didn't work because of my antivirus and there still nothing when I turned antivirus off the coast. Then I read a lot of forum preveous questions on this driver and no solutions helped, maybe because everything is last year.

  I really want to avoide a factory reset as I have some programs here that will be very difficult to acquire again.

  If you're still here after my speech, I am greatfull and also want your knowledge and advice about this superior! Please help me!

  What antivirus program you are wrong with turning off? I know that some may be stubborn. If the AV program refuses to turn off this feature with a selective startup in MSCONFIG, then you can try to uninstall it completely in the PANEL. Then try to restore to the previous new date
