Help tab too big text area

The image here will describe perfectly what I mean: http://postimg.org/image/ea9mhb8nh/
I don't know exactly how it's called, but the displayed help text when the pointer is moved to the title of a tab is a little big. What is the cause of the problem?

I have the same problem (Firefox 25.0, Debian Wheezy), and I've found a workaround.
I installed the extension "URL of the tab tooltip" (see link below) and then it turned off.

http://addons.Mozilla.org/fr/Firefox/addon/tab-tooltip/

Now my tab ToolTips are displayed correctly.
I had to remove and reinstall the extension after a firefox update.

I hope this helps to find the source of the problem.

  • Why pages such as natwest and ELC not displayed correctly? It's as if their text is too big, yet other pages are very well?

I have abrand new laptop ASUS with a 11 and a half inch screen. I've updated Windows system and uses the latest version of firefox. I went through all the advice in the section including firefox help clear the cache and cookies, and also check all the settings for the text, but none of this has fixed the problem. For example when I connect to my Bank in the text line is that big it does not fit in the boxes of natwest screen, so I can display all of the text and it gets mixed together in some places. With ELC, a good example is the menu at the top of the page which shows all categories of products they sell for you to click on. Because writing is too big it does not display properly. I noticed in this screenshot that you have increased proportional size from 16 to 24.

    This helps to redefine 16?

You can see the default values in a screenshot in this article:

You can reset the fonts preferences on the topic: config page by default via the context menu.

    • Open the topic: config page through the address bar and do a TEXT search through the top search bar of the about: config page.
    • Reset all the font.* related prefs which appear "BOLD" (user set) via the context menu to their default value.
  • Web page section headers are too big, content of the text is too small.

I have to make big text/content fonts so I can read comfortably, but this makes the titles of the sections on the gigantic Web pages, and does not have the whole layout.

in the opera, 10 years ago it was possible to change the size of the font of the class of the section headings (there are 6 classes/sizes of headings IIRC). the final effect is that the font size of the content was close to the font size of the title or titles on Web pages. parameter changes were made on a configuration page to designate the name of the font and sizes for proportional and monospace. for example, the title on this page of text entry is "Fill in the details of your question." and this font size are at least 3 or 4 times bigger then the topics under which ar "Question" and "Details".

so is there a way of FF to decrease the font size of the section as a global general parameter headers?

If Firefox is installed, it does not automatically create the chrome folder. You can create a new folder in your profile folder:

  • Texts are too strong

Hello, when I use Mozilla, search Web sites small-time. Because the texts are in default appearing too strong, I turned off as a TYPE-SPECIFIC Windows option. Chrome is OK. But why Mozilla always has this feature? How to fix?

The text of the anti-aliasing in Firefox works better with hardware acceleration enabled. If you visit the support information page, you can see if Firefox currently uses hardware acceleration. You can open it only by using either:

    • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > troubleshooting information
    • (menu bar) Help > troubleshooting information
    • type or paste everything: in the address bar and press Enter

Scroll up to the graphic header and then in the following table, there is a line indicating the number of windows accelerated on the total number of open windows ("GPU accelerated Windows"). Which indicates that Firefox is accelerating all the windows?

If hardware acceleration is not the case, this could be for these reasons:

    (1) Firefox needs you to update your software driver graphics card/chipset. See: update your drivers graphics to use hardware acceleration and WebGL.

    (2) even if you have the latest version of the driver software, there is a known issue, so it is temporarily locked in this version of Firefox.

    (3) you disabled hardware acceleration, perhaps for troubleshooting.

None of this seems not to apply to your Firefox?

  • the text went too big and I don't know how to make it smaller

the text got too big and I don't know how to make small new

You may need to change your DPI settings. See the link below:

Make the text on the screen larger or smaller
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/make-the-text-on-your-screen-larger-or-smaller
You can make text and other items, such as the icons on your screen easier to see by making them bigger. This by increasing the dots per inch (DPI) scale. You can also decrease the DPI scale to make text and other items on your screen smaller, so that more information fits on the screen.

If at the end you can not click on the button 'OK' because it is hidden, press your 'Enter' key (OK is defined as the default value).

If it would not help see this:

  • The icons are too big for the screen

    Hello

Everything on my computer screen seems too big. From the icons, texts, programs like chrome (pages are inside the window more). I do not change the display settings recently, and I did the updates. It happened suddenly, out of the blue.

I tried to change the resolution, but it lists only two possible resolutions, 1024 x 768 and 800 x 600. Even when I change, it make no impact.

    What should I do?

Use a monitor dell with graphics card: adapter Standard VGA Graphics chipset graph mobile/desktop Intel R (HSW) device.

    OS: Windows 7 professional, 64-bit

Original title: everything seems too big on my computer

The fact that you have only two resolutions would indicate that the game graphics chip driver is not properly installed.

The Standard VGA adapter is the rescue driver Windows for what specific cannot be identified or are not available.

Depending on the hardware of the computer go to the manufacturer's website, search for your particular system, download and install the graphics driver. The screen itself is not relevant.
