Help to import Flash video files

I was hoping to get help with something that frustrates me.

I have a file with two senior .fla. In the first image, I need a movie (.flv). When the film ends, I need to move to the next section on the time line.

I have converted the original .mov to a .flv and imported into my file as an external w/reading viseo component and not the skin. It is now in my library as FLVPlayback and I gave it an instance name of "goFrame". Its contentPath is the name of my file (P1010472.flv) .flv

So I put the FLVPlayback on my first image and I put a stop() in frame actions; and I have the text on the second image, also with a stop to see when the framework suggested.

I found this code:

var listenerObject:Object = new Object ();
listenerObject. full = function (eventObject:object): Void
{
_root. gotoAndPlay (2
);
}
myMedia. addEventListener ()"full" listenerObject
);

I was under the impression that I put this code in the actions for the framework that presents the video component (the first image)

I replaced "myMedia" with "goFrame", which is the name of the instance that I gave my FLVPlayback, but what is the listener object? This is the code I have now on the first frame actions:

Stop();

var FLVPlayback:Object = new Object();
FLVPlayback.complete = {function(eventObject:Object):Void}
gotoAndPlay (2);
}
goFrame.addEventListener ("complete", listenerObject);

but it does not advance at the end of the video, it stop frame 1 after playing the video.

I know I have to name the "listenerObject" and the "myMedia" event listener, but I must say that I'm simply confused what goes where. I may be a bit dense, I have read the forums which are discussion this kind of thing, but can't understand what name goes where in this code or if I'm there enter correctly. It is simply not to advance.

can anyone give me a tip?

Chris

use:

var listenerObject:Object = new Object();
listenerObject.complete = {function(eventObject:Object):Void}
_root.gotoAndPlay (2);
}
goFrame.addEventListener ("complete", listenerObject);

    Watch the video file. The last 3 letters represent the file format.

    Windows Movie maker only supports the following video file formats:

    Video files: .asf, .avi, .dvr-ms, .m1v, .mp2, .mp2v, .mpe, .mpeg, .mpg, .mpv2, .wm, and .wmv

    If yours is not on the above list, Movie Maker will have probel play.

    In this case, you will have to google for a free video converter and change the format of your video file to WMV. WMV format is the most reliable format for Windows. For the benefits of others looking for answers, please mark as answer suggestion if it solves your problem.

  • dynamic import of video files on execution

    Hello world

    I'm adjusting a lingocode to import video files instead of images in a cast. So that users can edit the video by playing one of their own videos and save the reference in a castlib.
    But the scene shows a picture of windows media indicating that it is a member of the windows media distribution only but do not actually play a video as it does not contain the path to the video file

    The new code;
    On MouseDown
    FIO = xtra("FileIO").new)
    file = fio.displayOpen)
    FIO = Sub
    newMember = new (#windowsmedia)
    newMember.fileName = file
    Sprite (3) .member newMember =
    newMember.duplicate (52, 'media')
    end

    I use the last line (newMember.duplicate (52, 'media') to copy the cast member newly created in external cast (media) and specific member number (52)) Such external distribution containing the imported media reference can be saved by a Save"" button. And be accesed by about 9 other movies.

    What I'm missing here to run the dynamic import of video files? pointers?

    > On MouseDown
    > fio = xtra("FileIO").new)
    > file = fio.displayOpen)
    > fio = Sub
    > newMember = new (#windowsmedia)
    > newMember.fileName = file
    > sprite (3) .member newMember =
    > newMember.duplicate (52, 'media')
    > end

    Works for me - with the exception of the duplication of Member. As suggested in the
    another forum you posted to, it would be better * not * use keywords like
    names of variables (such as 'file' and "newMember").
    It is unclear why you create a new Member in castLib (1) and link to
    Sprite (3) to duplicate and then to a different castLib. Why not
    you start with a member of the #windowsMedia location 52 of castLib ("media") and
    simply change its name property to file?
    --
    on mouseDown me
    tMember = member (52, 'media')
    If tMember.type = #empty then
    tMember = _movie.newMember (#windowsMedia, tMember)
    -tMember.name = "WMV".
    end if
    FIO = xtra("FileIO").new)
    tFile = fio.displayOpen)
    FIO = EMPTY
    tMember.fileName tFile =
    Sprite (3) .member tMember =
    end

  • Could not import a video file that works when you export my project as a .air file

    I am trying to create a project to be exported to a .air file which will include videos.  This file will be required to work offline so add a streaming video it with Adobe Media Server is not for me.  Video files in Animate must be linked and play (with no internet access) of the file.

    I tried to import files video .mp4 to the project but they do not seem to be visible when I export.

    I did some research and it seems to work only with the help of .flv / .f4v files (which I cannot make out Adobe as they removed this option now).  I tested this theory with a .flv file and it seems to work correctly (with the exception of my massive chronology!)

    Anyone know a way around this or could suggest that I could hurt?

    It seems strange that Adobe would rename Flash to animate and then do not working not not with all other files outside of la.flv/.f4v which they now won't let go.

    Hello

    Import of video H.264 in Animate is a design-time only feature that allows you to use videos as a guide to sync your animation on the stage. However if you want to embed the video in the output, please convert your videos to flv or f4v using Adobe Media Encoder CC (7.2).

    You can still install Adobe Media Encoder CC (7.2) by installing Flash CC option PREVIOUS VERSION creative cloud - download and install Adobe Creative Cloud applications

  • Need advice to make a simple Flash video file. Trying to accomplish two things.

    I have some video files (.avi) that I'm trying to convert a Flash video format. I'm trying to export it to a Flash drive to be in a Powerpoint file. With that, I'm trying to accomplish two objectives:

    1. to have the small clip (15 s, 30 fps) constantly loop, like an animated .gif.

    2. allow the user to click on the video and made player slide left/right for ff / rew.

    The video itself is an animation of the turntable. One of our products makes a full 360 degrees turn. By allowing the user to capture and drag, it will simulate turning the model.

    So far, I have already achieved objective 1. I made a new Actionscript 3, any video file (embed flv in swf and play in timeline), and then made the video loop on the timeline. This seems to export properly, and video loop if necessary. The only thing I can't understand is how to "interactive" video and let the user drag left/right.

    For context, I have never used Flash before. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Essentially, it comes down to move the playback cursor in Flash based on the movement of the mouse. It certainly won't be smooth, however, you would need a clock to be responsible for moving your head to read and reverse space compression is very intensive CPU (reverse on the timeline). I would recommend having an upstream release and in advance of the video then you could return them, but if you're new to flash you are already in way over your head.

    Add a new layer and try to add this example script (or Download Source example here, registered in CS5):

    import flash.utils.Timer;

    import flash.events.TimerEvent;

    import flash.events.MouseEvent;

    Make sure that we don't raise this image twice

    If (! stage.hasEventListener (MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN))

    {

    stop the playhead

    Stop();

    set state (forward? back?)

    var movingForward:Boolean = true;

    var curFrame:int = 1;

    var mouseStartX:int; used later to determine the drag

    detect the click of the mouse and drag to the left or right

    stage.addEventListener (MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN, onMouseF);

    stage.addEventListener (MouseEvent.MOUSE_UP, onMouseF);

    create new timer to control the playback head, start it

    var phTimer:Timer = new Timer (33.0).

    phTimer.addEventListener (TimerEvent.TIMER, movePlayheadF);

    phTimer.start ();

    function to control the playback head

    function movePlayheadF(e:TimerEvent):void

    {

    curFrame += movingForward? 1:-1;

    validate the frame (60 total frames)

    If (curFrame > this.totalFrames) curFrame = 2;

    ElseIf (curFrame< 1)="" curframe="">

    Goto the next image

    this.gotoAndStop (curFrame);

    }

    function that controls the direction variable

    function onMouseF(e:MouseEvent):void

    {

    If (e.type is MouseEvent.MOUSE_DOWN)

    {

    the user began place start touching, record

    mouseStartX = int (stage.mouseX);

    }

    Else if (e.type == MouseEvent.MOUSE_UP)

    {

    user let the mouse go, determine the change in direction (by scanning stype)

    If (stage.mouseX > mouseStartX)

    {

    slipped right, move forward

    movingForward = true;

    trace ("move on now '");

    }

    ElseIf (stage.mouseX<>

    {

    crept to the left, move the rear

    movingForward = false;

    trace ("back up now '");

    }

    }

    }

    }

    It's pretty simple. In the link source of the example above, an object in the timeline (nice ugly red circle) is moving right plus 60 frames and then left on 60 images (120 total). Consider that your film.

    A clock at a speed of 33ms (30 fps). It's where he won't necessarily be too smooth with video. If you wear at 60 fps, then decrease the timer of the half (16.5ms), season to taste. Whenever the timer fires the playhead is moved, either forward or backward.

    For whether she should go forward or backward a simple variable (movingForward) keeps track of the last "swipe". The shot is simply captured when a user touches the screen (mouse/finger), moves in a direction and then leaves upward. If they moved to the left the direction will be reversed. If they moved to the right, it will move forward. This does not include nor this logic, but illustrates how you can watch the mouse for movement and 'do something' on this basis.

    A very simple validatior in the event timer function checks if the next image (in both directions) is valid and if it is not the case, it fixes it so that it remains within your length of video editing.

    Note there is a MOUSE_MOVE event you can try to hold on to who can literally let the user drag the video forward and back the amount, they drag their finger/cursor. Also if it is a kind of circular surface as a disc rotates, the direction of the user moving the mouse based on where they registration would change the direction in which they expect to move. Etc etc...

    Who should get your feet wet in how you should consider for your project.

  • Why does itunes import my video files?

    Older versions of iTunes seen and synchronized them very well, so I upgraded to version 12 and now I can not re-import them. They were all formatted in mp4 format. I'm on a MacBook Pro. They will not work in iTunes on my Mac or Windows 10 PC.

    Try to open the video using QuickTime Player (video file do a right click and Open with-> QuickTime Player).  If it works, in the QuickTime Player menu, bar, file-> export-> iTunes, then select the video resolution.  This converts the video to a format iTunes can play.

    Photoshop elements has never had to file > import > video frames to layers.

    At the same time, until the versions a little backward, there is file > import > frame of video, but it was only able to make a frame at a time and the service has since been removed from photoshop elements.

  • Import of video files in CS3 DVD problems

    Hello!

    We have a copy of a video of service of comments I'm editing down to a condensed version used in our in-house training.

    I use PP CS3 and you have saved video files off on my hard drive, but they do not matter in PP.   I have a format not supported error message.

    The files are similar to those I have saved and imported with success of our business orientation DVD, with the exception of the file extensions that make their appearance on these service comments files;  where they do not have on my first project.

    These new file names are: VIDEO_TS. IFO, VIDEO_TS. VOB and VIDEO_TS. BUP.

    All wisdom would be appreciated!    I wonder if they are encrypted or secured, but the DVD is from 2001 and it seems unlikely.

    Thank you!

    M

    Mary,

    Good luck and sorry that I was not quite clear, I should be, in which case file extensions. Thanks to your thread and the comments from Ann, I modified my article to explain file extensions 'trick' a little better.

    Moreover, in accordance with this article, don't forget not that a VOB can contain more than just the MPEG-2 AV, especially the first VOB files. According to what is in this VOB 'container', and how it was written, there are still questions.

    If you experience problems, please see the link to the FAQ Neil Wilkes again, the ripping. There are several other links in this article, which can be useful.

    If your DVD has been created by Adobe yet, it will be 100% compatible DVD and has to import just without any problem. If made by Roxio, Nero, some other creation apps., or written from a digital video recorder, or Platinum VHS-DVD, then all bets are, as they do not write 100% compatible DVD disks, in most cases.

    Once again, good luck and let us know how it goes.

    I would recommend that you download and install K-Lite Codec pack from here.

    Download K-Lite Codec Pack

    Get either the Standard or complete package to halfway to the bottom of the page. There is a package tailor-made for 64-bit if your Windows 7 is that the flavor. The 64-bit package is not always necessary, as most of the programs are still 32-bit.
