  newbie question 5.0.  I know I have much to learn about navigation, until I develop other CBT, but I did a beta test and found a situation that I had not met before, I'm looking for help to get past this with a bandage until I can do this sense later. I have read many questions about navigation and do not seem to see exactly what is my problem.

  I use the play to the limited user free navigation bar, so all my slides, click on boxes with "pause until the user clicks on ' properties.  On some of my slides however, I created Pseudo-bouton as things via click boxes than e-mail or browser popup windows (via open URL).  When I was looking at these stars, they worked as I hoped: opens the external window, but did NOT advance to the slide. But I came to realize that in my tests, I was always clicking on these buttons before the audio was completed and my testers are clicking on them WHEN the audio is finished.  The behavior in the latter causes the blade in advance (as correctly popup window external).  I don't want to move forward when the user selects that particular click box and DO not click this box, it is optional.  It doesn't seem to matter how to set properties, I get the same behavior.  Gurus of Captivate wise suggestions O?  ;^)

• Help with widget slider in CP8

  Hello world!

  I am a user of a purchased slider widget control and I saw excerpts of how start with her, variables etc. Although it still seems I need extra help.

  I am creating an interaction where the student can drag the slider handle (with variable numbers defined in the settings of the widget of) and different images will display according to the number of the handle is pulled in.

  For example:

  • When the handle is pulled to 1, then a photo X will change from hidden to display.
  • When the handle is pulled to 2, then Photo X used to hide again and picture shows up and so on.
  • I wish that on the contrary happen, when you pull the rear handle to start point 0; the pictures will show and disappear but to reverse the order. (Maybe, it would be the "reverse polarity"?)

  Anyone here who knows how to do this (in exact order)? Really appreciate it!

  For this interaction, firstly, you need to configure the widget so that his action of success will work continuously. We then hang in a tip read variable of the downhill Action.

  First in the component Properties of the Widget window menu, make sure that the variable has a minimum value of 0 and an maximum value equal to the number of images to display PLUS ONE. So if you have pictures of four , the minimum would be 0 and the maximum value would be 5. Set up the rest of the component options you want. I'm going to assume the name of the variable, that the slider is connected is called the cursor. This will become important when you make the fast Action.

  Go to the menu of the success and failure . By default, assess the success or failure is disabled. Click the button to turn it on. Under evaluate success or failure select continuously. Under the requirements of success choose value choose Score greater than or equal to and drag the slider to the left, so the lowest value is selected. This will cause the widget trigger its action of success on every frame of the movie (which its present on the timeline for). Turn off the failure requirements and make sure reset criteria of rupture for the success is turned on. The widget is now fully configured. Click OK to save your settings.

  In the design Captivate environment, select the widget. In the Properties Panel, select the Actions submenu. Under the successful drop-down, select Execute Advanced Action and create a new tip Action.

  You should do an conditional, Action name is not important, but don't forget to remember it. In the first decision to write the following condition under section perform the action so : cursor [variable] is less or equal to 1 [literal]

  Hide all of the images that you want to hide and show the one to display when the handle is on the first quadrant under Actions .

  Record the action and move to the next decision. Under the new decision, you will write a condition: cursor [variable] [literal] is equal to 2

  Under the action, hide and show images depending on how the interaction should appear when the cursor handle is located above the second quadrant.

  Continue to take new decisions up to the maximum number that you assign to the max value of the widget the cursor. Each action following the same model

  cursor [variable] is equal to 3 [literal]

  cursor [variable] is equal to 4 [literal]

  cursor [variable] is equal to 5 [literal]

  So on to what the last one that is (if we got six pictures):

  cursor [variable] is greater than or equal to 6 [literal]

  In the action in respect of each decision, hide and show the images.

  Record the action. Close the dialog box advanced Actions, and ensure that the right to the peak Action is chosen for the successful action slider.

  Also, be sure that the Success/Failure break subtitles is turned off.

  I tested this configuration and it works pretty well for me.

  I need to make a dropdown menu with one of the answers as a correct answer and the incorrect rest and include it in the ranking of results.  Did anyone done this before?  That's what I need - with 18 as response.  Captivate has come down to the bottom of the sequence and the drop corresponding but not just a simple old drop-down list.  Help!

  

  If you use fill in the void, using "drop-down list" instead of "User input"? It's the best way to get a drop-down list and since it is a question slide, will be marked automatically if the user chooses the good article.

  I can explain a workflow with the interaction of the list drop-down, advanced actions and variables, but why make it complicated when easy is possible?

  I have asked a question similar to this one but unfortunately could not understand!  I hope someone may be able to help now that I am much clearer on what I need...!

  Here is my project of edge animate - http://we.tl/JEOuvnK4SX it's going to be shipped on a site of Muse.

  For now, it works well, with animations that past as the mouse is rolled up on each icon at the top.  I want to achieve is something very similar but with click actions - when icon above is wound on her cheek and reverseplays but the Panel below is played only when you click the icon, in fact - and it maintains until the other is clicked (so the mouse can wonder about the screen without the dissappearing information), it should then playreverse before not to appear a new.

  I also want to start by 'Concept' so that users can see the first round table was screened.  At the present time, there is a big empty space that makes it look like he actually has something missing.

  So I'd like something like that (I hope that makes sense!):

  - ICON (Concept) and PANEL (Concept_1) already active (CLICK) (see image).  It would also be nice if this started as the user scrolled to the bottom of the page that I have some effects of scrolling on the Project Muse.

• Help with miniature slide show.

  I have created pages that have multiple photos of each product. I use a miniature slideshow widget to make a large miniature as the main image of the product that can be clicked on and does jump in a lightbox. This part works fine, but I also have an another miniature lightbox just below where people can see more photos 4 and 5 of the same product.  I want to do is merge these into a slide show.  I thought that uncheck "change set" in settings of the widget would allow me to divide the thumbnails and make a great product shooting and then place the other (much smaller) below sub form of secondary images, thus creating a slideshow. So if someone clicks on the picture of the main product they could then just hit then from there to see the rest.

  Is it possible to do or not?

  Please take a look at the site in its current form (WIP) and see how its configuration now. I need the page are exactly the same, but do have the main pic for each product beginning the full slideshow.

  Please help, I'm a total noob when it comes to this. I just had to learn to animate and campaign management dashboard and the traffic Google DoubleClick because a member of our team quit abruptly. I completed successfully (banner HTML 5) creativity and I'm trying to import into DoubleClick when I get this error:

  No, ID selects the word when a double click is not a preference of the user of what constitutes 'a word '. A little tip can help you here: If you double-click on a-Word and hold down the mouse button, ID selects Word while you drag. I use all the time, for example with a quadruple click to select whole paragraphs.

  (Quark was a lot smarter than ID and 'a book & value shilling', or he has been much more silly and just selected "all between the surrounding areas'.)

• Captivate 4 - button or click on the boxes to return to a previous slide

  Hello

  In the project I do in Captivate 4 I want on the last slide to have a list of topics and for users to be able to click on each one to return to an earlier point in the project as a re - cap on these subjects.

  I tried to do this with the two buttons to text, then click on boxes and it just doesn't work and I can't work out why. In each case (i.e. with the option button and click on box), I chose «Jump to slide...» "but when I saw and click in the area concerned, the project does not move. There is something which is the last slide or Captivate will only allow you to advance to no return?

  I can't really work on why it does not work.

  Can anyone help?

  Most likely, the problem is that you are previewing your project using F8. This only "will make" a couple of slides so jump all actions will not work correctly.

  Republish your project and see if the links do not work now.
