  Summary: it is possible to transfer files freely between host and virtual machines, but are not limited to declared Shared Folders.

  I'm under VMWare Player 6.0.3 + tools under Win7/32, generally without problems. However, I just found out what seems to be a major security problem; It may have been there for years, I never checked. On a CentOS Linux VM and a Windows XP VM, I put folders always active; two folders are shared, C:\Users\ < name > \Desktop\VMWare (a subdirectory on the desktop) and R:\ (a RAM drive). "Card as a drive in Windows network, you can" is checked in the virtual Windows machine. There is no option for a folder always be not shared, the other only until the next poweroff (re point 2 below). I did some tests and was able to easily drag and drop files from the two virtual machines (running at once) to the host WITHOUT RESTRICTION FOR THE SHARED FOLDERS; I copied the files of the computer desktop virtual on the desktop of the host (not the directory said 'VMWare'), the office of the host on the desktop of the virtual computer and directory host random (C:\TMP) on the virtual machine, and then again to the desktop of the host.

  1. serious, important question: the VM seems to have free run of the host, not only in the shared directories.

  2. point minor: indicates the VMX (all below dossier_partage) file < sharedFolder0.expiration = "session" > but < sharedFolder1.expiration = "never" >; should not be the same thing, 'never' as records of actions are always enabled?

  That concerns me; I sometimes deliberately tried to expose virtual machines to viruses, in the hope that there is a Chinese wall between the host and the VM, except for shared directories.

  I am dong something wrong, is this expected behavior or is it an error in VMWare Player?

  Looks like you're confused shared with drag-and-drop folders.  With shared folders, the host files are mapped in the comments (possibly as a Windows network drive).  Navigate in the comments under \\vmware-host.  Drag-and-drop is a completely independent feature.  There is no restriction on access to the drag-and-drop.  To disable drag-and - drop in VMware Player, power off the virtual computer and add the following to your virtual machine configuration file:

  insulation. Tools.Copy.Disable = 'TRUE '.

  insulation. Tools.dnd.Disable = 'TRUE '.

  insulation. Tools.Paste.Disable = 'TRUE '.

• Need help with major problems of export in Illustrator CS5!

  I hope someone here can help me,
  I've been using illustrator to create mockups of websites to show to potential clients for a few weeks now.
  I create art and then export > PNG, then use these PNG files in Photoshop to add photos, before their merger all together in a single PDF file.

  My problem is:
  Now all of a sudden, I can't export in PNG.

  An old file have, or create a new one
  I spend, choose my options, then on the little colored loading slider rises,.
  as if it made export, but when I go to the location of the file, there is only a temp file it.
  I let it run for a good 5-10 minutes (this isn't a very graphic-intensive work, so it should not take anywhere NEAR as long)

  But nothing ever happens! And then I come back to illustrator, and it's still the thing of loading,
  and it seems to be frozen, because I can't click on anything, so I have to force quit.

  -> Also, I just realized the same thing happens when I try to use Stylize effects! After that I tried to add an outer glow, the loading icon appears and then nothing happens...

  I know there are probably other ways to do what im trying to do, I tried except for the web options, the screen with the options wont even load, and then it freezes.

  This could be important - I can still save as an illustrator file and export to a JPG file.

  I took my macbook from Apple today, they checked my hardware, apparently its all fine
  but they have wiped the system, so I reinstalled from time machine,
  I deleted my preferences (I think), but im still getting the same problem!

  Apple has decided to hide the library user with OS10.7 folder. You can get to it using the menu.

  Quit Illustrator.

  One method...

  In the Finder, choose go > go to folder and type "~ / library ' (without the quotes) and click OK.

  Your library folder will open.

  Then navigate to ~/Library/Preferences/Adobe Illustrator CS5 Settings

  Move this folder of settings on your desktop.

  Restart Illustrator, and try to export again.

  If it works as expected, you can trash the settings folder on your desktop.

  As you clear preferences, items like Scratch disk settings need to be reconfigured in Illustrator, if you changed the default settings for them.

  Second method...

  Hold down Command-Option-shift when you start Illustrator.

  Preferences will be deleted.

  You will not get any kind of dialogue or the window confirm this, it happens.

  Because of two methods.

  Method you are allowed to file return parameters if your problem is not cured by deleting. It also lets you replace the elements in the new settings file that is created (as work spaces).

• With WAN Miniport problem when you configure the VPN in Windows 7 server

  I tried to make my computer a VPN server by establishing a "new incoming connection" under connections in the network and sharing Center. Originally, she she started but showed no WAN Miniport connections. I could not connect to this VPN with my other computer.

  What I've done so far:

  • I have 'upgrade' all WAN Miniports in 'MAC Bridge miniport driver' Device Manager (since I couldn't uninstall them as they were) and then uninstall all WAN miniports. I restarted my computer and then I tried the device drivers to install automatically, but only a few installed successfully.
  • Then, I downloaded the latest WDK (8.1) and tried to reinstall all Miniports WAN via devcon.exe with the command "devcon.exe install c:\windows\inf\netrasa.inf MS_PptpMiniport. He says that the node has been created, but it could not install the drivers. I restarted my computer, but some of these minis ports appeared as 'Unknown' in Device Manager, while others appeared with their names but with numbers attached because I tried a few times, Ex: "Miniport network EXTENDED (IP) #3".»

  from my understanding, I need at least WAN Miniport pptp to work for VPN to work. I don't know what to do at this point. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

• Need help with work flow problem: a single e-mail notification non-stop.

  We have created an approval Workflow custom PO based on the standard PO approval workflow and we had it for awhile now. Last week, we had a problem where the notification keeps on sending e-mail to suppliers and buyers. We discovered that the notification_id given in table WF_NOTIFICATIONS keeps having updated by the minute affecting the MAIL_STATUS Invalid then SENT back, then back to INVALID again and so on. We think that what is updated in this table is the cause, but so far we have not found what is updated. Here are a few of our instance.

  Database: 10.2.0.4 64bits
  OPERATING SYSTEM: AIX
  Custom workflow based on the 115.127.11510.16 review
  
  Customizations:
  -Created in custom notification that xx_email_po_pdf_supp based on EMAIL_PO_PDF_SUPP.
  -Creation of custom message XX_EMAIL_PO_PDF based on EMAIL_PO_PDF.
  -Added #WFM_CC to XX_EMAIL_PO_PDF.
  -Creating custom attribute XX_PO_WF_EMAIL_PERFORMER and set as an interpreter to the XX_EMAIL_PO_PDF_SUPP notification.
  -Created the custom XX_ADDTL_STARTUP_VAL function right after "Set Workflow start values of service." This function sets the #WFM_CC attribute and the XX_PO_WF_EMAIL_PERFORMER attribute.

• Motorola please help with my wifi problem!

  ARGH it to happen again! My wifi worked horribly on my droid x when running 2.1, slowing down every 2 minutes, and after doing a factory reset did not work, while waiting for my other wifi devices in my house as my 2nd generation ipod touch worked perfectly with wifi. The VZW rep tells me "the ipod touch might have a different wifi system so we cannot help you" because they have probably been heard everywhere and don't care no more, but due to fire other ridiculous problems, I decided to upgrade to the 2.2 Froyo leak, and it incredibly solves all problems! Everything worked perfectly, and I thought that if everything has not been fixed I just return it. Now 2 weeks later, each signal I get is cancels every 1 or 2 seconds and it is impossible to connect, and it's the same thing with my dads x droid who also runs the froyo leak. Meanwhile wifi still works perfectly on my ipod touch. How can I solve this problem? It should not be even more of an issue. My wifi worked perfectly in devices mobile beginning like my PSP and that was several years ago. I still have 11 days to send it under the 30 day warranty, so do I just get it replaced?

  Also, I tried to reset my router too much already, and I have all the security settings to this topic. Defining policy standby wifi "Never" also do not resolve this problem.

  This problem is known and is being developed. the 2.2 leak that you upgraded to was not final and therefore not finished. you are now looking for the way to get back to stock 2.1. When Verizon and Moto send the OTA 2.2 very little time the network will not recognize your version of the operating system and therefore you will not be offered the official OTA.

  It will be fixed, and at least it's just a software problem that can be fixed and not a hardware problem that causes the problem.

• BlackBerry with Blackberry link or major Bug software's major security problem?

  Like some other assignments, which seem to have been ignored either because the helpful souls here is not an answer or Blackberry are avoid it like the plague! I have an unknown (to me) computer on my screen of BB Link on my Z10.   Absolute silence of a person located at Blackberry is not acceptable. Either it's a major safety or a major bug Miu or both!

  I own a model 2209WA monitor. She was purchased in March 2010.

  Recently, I found that there was a visible gray streak in the center of the screen and ran a diagnostic test as described on the forum.

  I was not able to reproduce the problem on STFC, but on FPDBIST I found that the streak was no longer a gray spot on the left center of the screen on a gray background.

  I would definitely solve the problem because the problem is obvious enough to distract you. If not repairable by myself, I would ask for a warranty replacement, but I can't try to find the State of the order associated with my account, because it doesn't show any order beyond two years in the past, and I understand that the monitor had initially warranty period of three years. If there is any way I can get a copy of the draft of the order or shipping confirmation that I would be very grateful.

  I have 3 servers Configuration of VMware Workstation. There are a the Ethernet parameters ' host only: a private netwrok shared with the host country. The problem is I have a server configured as a main domain controller, I can join my other two servers to the domain very well, I can ping by name, but none NSLOOKUP. Basically I have a DNS issue that I MUST correct.

  Anyone know what could be the problem? Or where to look? I attach a doc with my settings.

  Have you checked that the clients are configured to register in DNS?

  Have you checked the the event log for entries regarding a DNS record failed?

  Did you check that there is a records for each host in the appropriate DNS zone?

  The clients have the right DNS server configured?
