  BBM and PIN messages are messages sent from one BlackBerry to another.  The message is composed by the sender and goes through the secure server of the RIM before being delivered to the recipient.  They are only available for BlackBerry users.

  The thing I like about them, it is how you can see if they have been received by the recipient.  Once the message reaches the recipient's phone, you will notice a small would be "at the beginning of your message.  In other words, that it is delivered.  When the recipient opens the message, who had "will change to a 'R' for 'reading'.  So now you know that it is actually received by the recipient.

  One more great thing about these messages, it's that there is no length limit.  As you probably know, most carriers limit SMS 160 characters; not the case with these messages, they can be much longer.

  BBM and PIN messages are of the same type of message, but with PIN messages, you are limited to just contact reception.  With BBM, you can have a lot of contacts on a cat, or you can broadcast a message to multiple contacts at the same time.

  Having recently had 'fun' to getting a load agent working in our secure local network, I was wondering if someone could clarify what are the different ports to/from?

  We have a problem were user profiles continue to accumulate on the desktop display used in laboratory environments where multiple users connect. I don't want to delete the virtual machine when a user disconnects, because we're in an educational environment were we have 30 + students logging in and off every hour. For a lot of activity on the back-end for my tastes. I would use the last-born independent disks disk mode. It is available in the virtual machine settings in the VI client. This will outline the hard drive to it original state after it is restarted. Anyone used this feature with a view? I noticed that this is not a feature of the view itself, so I was wondering if it was by design and if I use it if it will cause me problems.

  I used the mode of non persistent disk in without any problem. One thing to watch is the computer account AD password age. I came across a situation where it has been updated in AD, but my non-persistent drive had the old password. I ended up having to join the domain for all desktop computers. You can disable this via a GPO and it should go. Since you have many users connect you can set desktops to reset every night, so don't be the sizes of drive out of control.

  Easy-peasy!  Just set keyframes for the effect to animate properties.  The closest together set you keyframes in the timeline, change things faster.  You can drag the keyframe around, too.

  Last week, I started to drawn through several articles to blogs, livedocs and api on TLF and noticed in some XML data that will be used to the TLF uses namespace, such as "flow."  What benefits are currently or in the near future to use?  And it is--to have the data to use a namespace?

  Moreover, this framework gives me goosebumps. Can't wait to begin to produce work of this one.

  The main reason to use a namespace is if you want to use some of your items and will not have to worry about name collisions. But you can make space names tlf (or another) space of names by default, then you do not have to use the stream: prefix everywhere.

  WebHelp pages can be opened by URL from a few additional parameters so I need to integrate my WebHelp with some third party applications and specific topic was opened instead of the cover page of WebHelp.   When I use the Windows Fax and Scan, I'm trying to scan a document and then save it as a PDF file.  What happens is when I save it, it opens Adope Photo Shop and will not let me save it as a PDF.  How can I scan a document and then save it as a PDF in Windows 7.0?

  If you have Word 2007 or later, you can scan it, then save it as a PDF. Works fine for me. I have a Canon LIDE 100 scanner, I bought for $50, which will also scan directly to PDF.

  InDesign CC is a 64-bit, native Cocoa on Mac OS application.

  You need to use the SDK for InDesign CC, but is not available yet.
