Helps to identify a small part that comes with the card UTO2-XP

As the described subject line, I'm puzzled to a part that comes with the box UTO2. It of small, rectangular, white, plastic as but sealed in a bag of ESD, pulled in the cage of the UTO2 module.  It looks like the home of cable fiber of some sort.

If anyone knows what it's called and what/how it serves, very much appreciate your insight.

The attached document (and the link below) identifies the part as a clip of fiber.  It was initially designed for the card (MRC-12) multi-rate optical.
