    HI Milton,

    Thanks again for the response.

I want to suggest to follow the steps here in the link. Put the computer to boot and then try to uninstall Java.

Place the computer in a clean boot state, then check if it helps. You can start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

  • Uninstall java: I have updated java Java is

I'm sick of update of java.  I disabled the plug-in/Add-on in Firefox, and I want to uinstall the java engine. Apparently, I can access it in Add/Remove programs.  However, I don't see "Java 8 Update 101", but no java itself.  And there is no other applications to Oracle.  Of course, it is unwise to torpedo the update without uninstalling java itself.  Is it possible that it is not installed, despite the presence of the updater?  If this is the case, I would go before an uninstall of the update.  However, I want to be sure.

It lists the reg keys his looking, then you might check to see if you put them before doing anything.

Back up your registry and set a restore point before taking any action - assuming that is your problem.

Also, if you download and run the file, AV check it before running it - just in case.

NOTE: the above was found by google, I have not tried that I have not had the error. I can't say if it works or not.

PS - Also, FYI, while the research I found this http://support.microsoft.com/kb/893048 , but it seems specific to XP - SP2. Don't know if there is an equivalent W7.

  • How to completely uninstall Java apples for software?

    Hello

I installed Java apples for legacy software (https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1572?locale=de_DE & viewlocale = de_DE). I no longer need, because I uninstalled the software. I would like to uninstall Java completely too, due to known security issues. I want to get rid completely of Java, as Apple itself can't take it anymore.

Unfortunately, I couldn't find a clean uninstall routine, there was always some left system files.

You know a way to correctly and completely delete the mentioned above Java version?

    Thank you in advance.

    Pleasantries,

    Fabian

Apple Java can be stopped from the Java preferences application in

    Macintosh HD/Applications/Utilities.

Apple Java unlike Oracle Java is incorporated into the system of exploitation, but cutting the feature will disable entirely.

If this is not enough, you should make a backup of your hard drive and consider reinstalling a clean operating system instance.

AFAIKT Apple does not provide any indications to remove Apple Java OS 10.11, but a suggestion on the developers to remove OS 10.9 forum can be found here.

It is prudent to always back up your system when a suggestion to remove or install something is offered by anyone. It goes without saying: proceed at your own risk.

    to remove Java Oracle

All first please update for Firefox 18.0.1 Firefox updated to the latest version

  • I went into the Terminal to uninstall Java according to the Mac and I can't type my password

I can't type my password in the terminal so I can uninstall Java according to the Mac.  It's like my keyboard is dead.  I have a Macbook Pro (2011) ElCapitan 10.11.2 version... I don't have any idea what to do.

This is normal in the Terminal. The keyboard is typing your password even if you do not see the letters or movements.

Try everything you do again and when it asks for the password, type it as you normally would (even if you don't see anything) and then press return/enter

Cannot install itunes for windows - error: Apple Application Support is required to run Itunes Helper. Uninstall and reinstall (as I did twice)

For general advice, see troubleshooting problems with iTunes for Windows updates.

The steps described in the second case are a guide to remove everything related to iTunes and then rebuild what is often a good starting point, unless the symptoms indicate a more specific approach.

Review the other boxes and other support documents list to the bottom of the page, in case one of them applies.

More information area has direct links with the current and recent buildings if you have problems to download, must revert to an older version or want to try the version of iTunes for Windows (64-bit-for old video cards) as a workaround for problems with installation or operation, or compatibility with QuickTime software or a third party.

Backups of your library and device should be affected by these measures but there are links to backup and recovery advice there.

  • JAVA 7 7 update has been installed, do I uninstall JAVA 6 update 7?

    Hello, everyone-

I have windows XP/SP3 with IE v. 8.0.6001.18702.  I received a notice that java 7 day 7 was ready to be installed and that it would be aninstall java 6 update 7 when he did.

installation of java 7 went well, but when I look at my list of programs, java 6 is still there.  of course it does not have uninstalled after all.

Java advises to uninstall older versions when a newer version is installed.  then, when even the java 7 do not uninstall java 6 as it was supposed to, this safe for me uninstall java 6 via "Add/Remove Programs"?

Thank you, kind and generous people who meet our Qs!

    -susie margaret

PS - I also write this Q in the forum ' windows/windows XP/install-upgrade - enable '.  If I'm not supposed to post a Q in two forums at the same time, please advise me and put it in any forum you think most appropriate.  Thank you.

From Java 6 update 10, the uninstaller built into each new version uses the automatic update improved to automatically remove the previous version, when updating to a newer version of the update. This does not alter the old versions before those installed before the update 10, so they must be deleted manually.

If the automatic update does not work properly, the correct way is to delete all older versions first you may need to reboot several times for registry changes to files/folders to be removed correctly... affect.and then install the latest version of Java, when you have finished.
