  Display HP HDX X 16-1370US Premium Notebook PC goes black but will come back by changing the angle of the screen.   The keyboard of my laptop shows (in blue) alternative options for the symbols that I think can be enabled and disabled using a particular combination of keys (e.g. ctrl<>shift) or something.  I often seem to hit it, to call the other symbols, but do not know what I am struck to turn it on, or what I have to do to turn it off.   It is very annoying and frustrating.   Help, please?

  What is the exact model of the laptop?

  The options listed in blue are often triggered by pressing the Fn key (usually in the lower left corner of the keyboard) and the key. Generally, the blue features can only be triggered by pressing the key combination. However, some newer laptops have an option to activate the keys to activate without pressing the Fn key.

  If I know the exact model of the laptop, I can check if that is the question.

  I have a laptop of the Premium of HDX 16 t, model X16t-1200 series.  I want to replace the keyboard with a backlit.  I have a copy of the manual for support, and the instructions to remove and re - install the keyboard are very simple: remove the two screws from the underside of the laptop and a third screw from the upper left corner of the keyboard itself.  The problem is, I can't find this screw 3.  Ther diagram shows that it is between the ESC and f1 key, but I do not see a screw.  I have a small spacer between these two keys, but no sign of a screw.  Anyone can shed some light?

• Photosmart Premium C309G Linux compatible?

  Is the HP Photosmart Premium C309G printer compatible with Linux?  Compatibility Linux is a test before I buy a printer, and I'm curious to know.

  I note that similar (but not identical) model C309A is compatible, as shown here: http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/supported_devices/photosmart.html if the C309G has the same level of compatibility as the C309A, I'll be happy... but it is not clear to me if the C309G can use the same driver HPLIP/CUPS/Linux as the C309A.

  I am an openSUSE user and reasonable familiar with Linux.

  In fact, there are very good support for the C309G.  I just bought a plus earlier today and have set up with Ubuntu 9.10.

  You must use HPLIP.  Ubuntu 9.10 seems to come with the 3.9.8 version.  I manually installed 3.9.10:

  1. go to http://hplipopensource.com/hplip-web/install_wizard/index.html

  2. Select your Linux distro and version.

  3. for the type of printer, select "Photosmart/Photosmart Pro".

  4. for the model of the printer, select "HP Photosmart Premium all-in-one Printer Series - c309g" (it took me forever to find in the selection list)

  5. click next to download HPLIP, even if she tells you your distribution includes a version that supports your printer

  6. click Next again to download.

  7. click on the button download HPLIP.

  8 follow the instructions ("' sh hplip - 3.9.10.run", essentially ")

  Do not work as root or with sudo.  You will be asked your password later.  Among other things, the installation script installs all needed packages, including XSane for scanning.

  Restart your Mac, then try to run the software update as follows:

  First of all make sure that the printer is turned on and connected to your Mac or on the same network.

  Click on the Apple icon, then select about this Mac.
  Click software update, and then click the Store from the top of the indicated window menu and click on reload the Page.

  ICH versuche jetzt schon seit Stunden mein drive Assembly zum Laufen zu bringen. Aber're einfach nicht erkannt wird. ICH habe versucht mich durch den HP-Web pages-jungle durchzuqualen um den Treiber bzw Hilfe zu receive, aber wie nicht fündig geworden bzw back bin. Die Vorschlage die aufgefuhrt wurden, haben mir nicht helped.

  Wenn ich den Geratemanager starte, sehe ich wie ein kleines Ausrufezeichen of designation der Laufwerks im, screenshot. Wenn ich den Treiber deinstalliere und dann auf "neue material suchen" klicke, versucht er den Treiber zu installieren. However ohne Erfolg. Die Fehlermeldung habe ich auch beigefugt.

  Es sich um das all series premium Notebook HDX 16.

• HP C309g: Problems printing with photo paper and not A4 paper

  My HP 309 g perfectly print a picture on A4 paper without flaws. However, whenever it prints the exact image even on HP Premium Plus photo paper, the colors are weird - not black, but the yellow blues and roses. I removed the print head and carefully cleaned and aligned the printer nothing helps. Verification of diagnosis HP shows no failure at all. The obvious flaw must be with the photo paper, but I am not convinced that this is the real problem. Can someone help with this really weird problem please?

  I would normally be with you that photo paper would be at fault, but as HP paper, it should be good. I realize, this may be irrelevant, but make sure that you load the face of photo paper (print side) down so that it prints on the right side of the paper.

  If you load it properly however, which I am sure you are, I suggest that you try the steps in this document to solve the problems of quality Print to the HP Photosmart Premium all-in-One Printer Series (C309) .
