  MFT has t2p plugin that can be used to migrate the metadata for production test.

  There is an export option in the transfer page in the MFT UI that can be used to export metadata data transfer.

  This exported zip can be imported in any other environment after making the necessary changes.

  I rsynced my files from one environment to another, but below files need root access, and therefore, they are not copied to the new environment. May I know if there will be problems because of the absence of these files in the target environment? Same files are missing for weblogic user as well, but I'm able to connect with the weblogic user. Please help because it is a production environment.

  You can see that this is not about what the guy has done recently, but a together a lot more. I have just explained the two examples that you had in your original post.

  The example looks like a pretty empty user account (if that's really all that is in its foledr on the file system). By aligning the right FACILITY to the rest of the webcat will not affect OBIEE application behavior.

• Import the schema from one instance to another

  I'm going through a pattern of a (production) Oracle instance to another (development) that is located on a different server. I modified this two years ago, and the data are now obsolete. We do export every night of all schemas and I only want to import the schema of "Bob" in dev. I copied the export file to the dev server and used the following command:
  
  Sys IMP / < password > file = server.dmp fromuser = bob ignore = y
  
  The import worked well for a bit, then I started getting errors cannot create scopes on the tablespace and possibly the imp stopped. I check, and of course, like many primary tablespace which is strange since the two prod and the dev team have the same size. In any case, I went in and has doubled the size of the index and the data of the tablespaces and tried to import again.
  
  This time, I got the following:

  I use the "ignore = y ' option it will ignore a problem if the object already exists, but it adds the data to import or clear and then add it? I'm guessing that he tries to add data, which are the cause of the errors.
  
  I remember in the past, the only way I got this job was to open a session as long as sys, delete user Bob w/waterfall, and then re-create the user before importing. This seems to be a royal pain in the lacrosse.

  This works. If you have changes of geometry in the table, it's probably best to drop the scheme or at least the table. What if all you want to do is update the data and nothing else has changed, then you can simply truncate and then import the data.

  I have 2 layers of text in a .psd anyone I just simply copy and paste into another .psd. I select both layers and link them together, but when I copy and paste into the other .psd just one layer is pasted. How do you do that?

  It works as it should. If you want to move stuff with maintaining relative positioning, put it in a group or a dynamic object and drag the resulting group / SO to the new document.

• Import TOC Styles from one file to another

  I've been using InDesign CS5 for 18/10/10. I tried to understand the TOC styles.

  I created a "dummy" 10-page file. He has applied styles and I defined TOC styles. I based this 10 page file on a 174-page manual where the TOC styles are not configured and you will need to manually change the table of contents to make it look nice. I want to copy the styles of OCD, I created the 174 manual page so that I can always generate the TOC where it requires no change to the table of contents.

  I open my file of 174 page ID. I went to available == > Table of contents Styles. I clicked on Load.I sailed to the test (with TOC styles defined) file and click Open.

  Bombs of ID and I get a window that says "Adobe InDesign CS5 has stopped working. A problem caused the blocking of the program works correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. "There is a button"close the program ".

  Is there a sneaky way to go behind the scenes and get these styles at page 174 manual without recreate them manually? I can do that, I guess, but I would like to just import them in the 174 manual page if I can.

  Select a page in the pages Panel, and the Panel menu drop down choose Page move and select the other document as a target. Put it at the end for convenience and clear if the other document after you o have checked it's there. What he brings along everything stay.

• Copy and paste the links from one document to another is no longer maintains the actions

  For a few years I created a 'dynamic' table of contents in a MS-Word document.  The Word document is a skeleton of a PDF document that will be published with the text of the sections on the relevant pages.  I then save it in the format PDF. The links in the generated PDF file precisely go to pages in the document. I then copy the table of content pages in my PDF file that contains the actual content.  I remove links old and copy and paste links to the newly created table of content in the 'real' PDF pages  Recently, when I stick the links, they seem to stick properly but the actions on the links are not included.  I can look at the new PDF and see the link for "go to a page in the document" action, but they are not present on the pasted version.  Is this a bug?  Everyone knows this situation?   Thanks in advance!

  As usual with similar issues, need the process to explain to discover possible solutions towards.  I don't know why this solved the problem, but I had saved the Word document by using the file/save as / name. File/save as Adobe PDF... pretty good PDF option option.  The results appear the same, but when I copied the links after registration by using this option, it worked as it should.   Maybe this will help someone else...

  Reading docs and a few messages, I understand that I must or may use the catalog > Archive option in responses.
  
  Our main goal is to migrate the privileges defined through the Administration > > manage privileges... We tried a copy simple system directory (linux to linux), but it doesn't seem to work.
  
  Question is... all making the Archive I should just select folders and archive it? or to copy the privileges that I have to use Catalog Manager?

  So I would like to archive the entire catalog... pls. How to do? Maybe do it in 3 parts: my, shared system?

  Is there a difference in the seamer entire catalog folder and move to where you want and with each archive folder?

  I would say to move the entire catalog folder when you want to check the root folder, because any change specific (Shared) do it online mode when you want to keep the same permissions.

  I do the following.

  to get answers: suppose you copy of prod Dev.

  (1) open the two environments.

  (2) in the environment target take any response and save it as sample1.

  (3) to open Dev Environment the answer that you want to copy in the environment target.
  go to the Advanced tab---> copy the XML of the XML query window

  (4) open example 1 report in the target environment and go to the Advanced tab.
  Paste the xml code copied to window query xml ---> > click set xml

  (5) Save.

  You should be able to see the report in the new environment.

• Conversion of scripts from one domain to another

  Back to the pre OpenScript versions (v8), there used to be a utility (under the Tools menu) to convert the scripts. This would be useful for example when migrating a script from one environment to another (for a script can be used in a production environment?) However, this feature is not currently available in recent versions.
  
  I realize, you can try to do a global find/replace in the Java code, but it doesn't seem to be as simple as replacing the root of the URL like this leaves the issues with dynamic variables is most recognized (I get losts of messages "Could not be resolved" if I try this exercise).

  NOTE: In the example above I also changed from HTTPS to HTTP simple.

  In 9.2 under Tools, there is an option called URL set... You select this option and it will display the URL of the application and a text field where you can enter a variable name. Then you can select all instances of this URL and OpenScript will be replaced by the variable. Once done you will have code such as

  Initialize the Section

  and in the running section you would have something like

  Notice it will return the variable and also have the saved value. So if you want to play against another environment just to change the value of the variable and replay.

  We had exports for ALS for an instance to another instance. This requires the simultaneous program "Export Application accounting definition" of the source system. This must be managed separately for each application for which the SLA is changed individually. This will create individual files (for individual applications run) in the path provided during execution of the query (for ex/usr/tmp).

  Now these files can be moved by the ADMINISTRATOR of the source system to the target system on the same path. In the target system, we ned to run the "Import Application accounting definition" program, again individually for each application. This automatically import the SLA changed in the target system and validate the same also.

  (Note: demand must be performed in incongruous individual application itself.) For ex - if we export/import SLA for AR, we need run demand for accountability of the AR.

  Also note that the custom sources are not exported by this method. They must be manually created in the target system)

  In general, never use sys - you can't export consistent reading on the one hand, that the sys user. As long as the user you run expdp/impdp a permission/imp_full_database, they should be able to unload/load anything.

  SYS the property in the goods may not be imported/exported in any case. tab$ is for example a table in sys but rows in it are added/removed by sql recursive create/delete table implementation.
