sys and system of export and import

Hi all

is there a difference with exports or imports, usiing the sys user and user of the system.

a schema export and import has to do with the system user only.

What is the difference in fact.

Thank you!

Hello
In general, never use sys - you can't export consistent reading on the one hand, that the sys user. As long as the user you run expdp/impdp a permission/imp_full_database, they should be able to unload/load anything.

SYS the property in the goods may not be imported/exported in any case. tab$ is for example a table in sys but rows in it are added/removed by sql recursive create/delete table implementation.

Kind regards
Harry

  • How to export and import items that contain in HTML format

Has anyone identified how you can create a product export file which can then be re-imported where your products contain updated HTML code formatting in the description field?

The problem is that my descriptions contain all the usual characters CSV Excel uses to control the importation of field such as "and, with the CR characters so when it comes to the import of your product description the spread over several lines in your import file. I tried all kinds of ways, including by modifying the file with a hex editor, but I can't work on a consistent method to achieve this.

It's pretty important because it's our only way to create backups of some fairly complex product descriptions is of no use if we cannot import the data back in case of a major failure of the system or as is more likely the case, the user inadvertently destroyed the documents by mistake.

Of course this same problem applies to web applications that need to be saved for the same reasons

    Thank you all the...

Success... in a way. I found out what was the problem and certainly not one that too many people may face in... the length of my HTML text which is held in the description field was too large for Excel 2010 import a csv file. It seems that Excel 2010 will not import a text column whose content is > 32759 characters (well that was the size of the field) after which he puts the rest in a new line, and then it receives all the evils form it.

However, I found a solution - open the CSV file in Google Spreadsheets - Google leaves does not seem to oppose everything to the size of the data in the column. After that, I exported both an Excel XLSX and CSV file format and import it all looked good.  Even taking the XLSX file and record in format CSV was fine.

It seems that the problem lies in Excel import of large text columns.

  • 8i/windows 2000 server and import export in 10g / windows 2003

We took the 8i/windows 2000 server and import export in 10g / windows 2003 server.

I created the empty database in 10g (sys, sysaux, temporary table space) and

made other tablespaces from the database of parnet with autoextet

    When importing in 10 g / windows server 2003, it throws IMP-00015

After importing all trying to connect to other databases using db link (created before export), the error message is ora-02019.

HOW TO GET ALL THE privileges to use & roles (sys & object) after importation.

Another thing is to know how to check the integrity of a database after importing in 10g.

What are the steps I need to take before exporting?

I have disabled all triggers before importation, what I need to do before exporting?

I activated all triggers after the import.

Also: Microsoft called me about a report of my computer.  My daughter thought it was a hoax and hung up.  Is there a way I can connect with this Department once again?

Microsoft does not automatically contact you if you send details of error for them.  They use these reports to see what types of questions are trending and those that are trending upwards looked at herself.  The rest cannot.

And your daughter has been very wise - the call she received WAS a scam and she did well to cling to their topic.  Microsoft never call you unless you call them first, and they tell you that they will call back.

Have you read the link I gave you?  In particular, the discussion on the fig. 5 and fig. 6.

If you had, you would have the answer to this question.

I thought the account that EXPIRES based on PASSWORD_LIFE_TIME even gets does not attempt to connect DB via the account.

Then, you thought wrong.  As I said earlier, the database does not spend time constantly trawling through accounts looking to see if something has passed its expiration date.  If she did that, he would never time to do something else.  He checks in the context of a connection request and responds

    as a result.

  • Export profiles on URM and import the physical metadata

    Dear all,

I want to ask is there any menu to export and import the physical metadata and profiles on the management of records (URM)?

I already try the Migration Admin Config menu but seems that only contained metadata could export and import in this menu.

Is there someone never export and import metadata and profile?

    Best regards

    Hi Charly,

For metadata, access files - Import / Export - Archives - physical related objects.

There, the option to include custom metadata PCM is what you are looking for.

  • Export a collection of catalog and import into the catalog of my work on my iMac, color labels are missing.

During my project for my photography class, I have to shoot on site and edit the best photos with the model, on my MacBook. At home on my MacBook I export the collection newly created to a catalog (including negative files), copy the directory with the catalogue all the other files over the network and import the catalog into my standard catalog on my iMac. On my iMac, all the imported photos color labels went into my standard catalog, and very strange, color labels have also disappeared when I open the catalogue exported (and copied) on my iMac. Did I miss something?

I don't think it's something to do with the copy over a network.

My guess is that you have to look at metadata > color label set. Try to compare the settings on both computers. If they are different, a computer do not know what the other means red, yellow etc.

  • Export and import of large dump files.

    Hi all

I'm using Oracle 11 g R2, and I need to export and import a 150 GB of an environment dump file to another.

What would be most effective to do this? (cut the dump file? etc..)

Thanks a lot for your help.

    Chichi.

If the environments are similar you might consider using the transportable tablespace option of datapump, export metadata and simply copy the actual data files, you meet the criteria for this.
