SCANNER NOT SCAN SINCE INSTALLING WINDOWS 10

C4500 all in one printer/scanner.  Since installing windows 10 I can't scan.  Printing/copying is fine.   When I press 'New Scan' it says "connection with C4500" and then just said "Couldn't complete analysis" have no idea what to do!  Any help much appreciated

Try these step.

You should preform is a complete uninstalltion the driver 14 (Solution Center) of your computer. (Importnet thing: If your computer is also a HP Machine, follow the steps later!)

1 Unplugg your device (if its without wireless/Ethernet, skip this step)

2 download the complete solution (here: http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/COL30130/mp-109997-3/PS_AIO_04_C4500_USW_Full_Win_WW_140_408-5.exe()

3. after it finish downloading, extract the software and head in the printer folder that is displayed there, inside the head to the "util" folder and then in the folder "ccc" here you should be able to find a file named "Uninstall_L4" > run this file, it will open a black window, just press enter in so he can start to remove the software , after it is completed you will be asked to perform a restart of uninstalling, save that you were working and let it restart.

4. after he has finished start up, head in C:\Program Files (x 86) and delete the 'HP' folder you see here.

5. head in C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files and delete the folder "Hewlett-Packard" you see here.

6. here, we will make changes to the registry, that before we start backup your registry entries by exporting your registry library on your desktop. (Follow these steps on how to do this)

6.1.open to the top of the window "Run" by pressing the win key + R.

6.2.in the command line type "regedit" and press on enter, he will open the registry editor.

6.3.in this window at the top left, tap on 'file' and choose 'export', name the "reg" file and save it to your desktop.

7. here are entering HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software and remove the HP/Hewlett-Packard folders that you find here.

7.1.head in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE and remove the HP/Hewlett-Packard folders you find here.

8. open the window "Run" again by pressing Win - key + R, in the type of command line in "spool" in here to open the "drivers" folder, it opens the folder "x 64/W32x86" (depending on your system) and then remove the HP printer folder. (If the there is no HP folder delete anything.)

9. go to C:\Windows and rename the old "twain_32" "twain_32" folder

10. open the command-line by pressing Win - key + R in the type of command line under "%temp%" in the folder that will be opened, remove all.

11. next step invlove will using the cleanup utility Windows, which can be downloaded here (http://www.google.co.il/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&f rm = 1 & source = web & cd = 1 & cad = AJLN & uact = 8 & ved = 0CBwQFjAA...), after it's finished downloading install the file (right click and run as s Adminitrator) and open the software, a small window will open , in he search anything that starts with HP and remove it... (Everything is being shown as HP except for a file called "bdq_scan" take care to delete this file as there are 97% chance that that is the only reason for your problem..)

12 restart your computer.

13 start the installation and follow the steps as shown.

Incase you are using an HP computer.

In step 4, venture into C:\Program Files (x 86) \HP and only delete the folder "digital imaging".

Skip - 5,6,6.1,6.2,6.3,7,7.1 and 11 completely.

    You scan the front of the unit?  The software included in Sl does not support that.  Also note the HP Scan Pro included in the 10.5 software will not work with 10.6.  The 10.5 software and delete the print queue.  Make sure your 10.6 is update 10.6.1 and go here to download and install the HP software for 10.6 and Setup for your J6540.  You should be able to scan after that.

    Try to temporarily disable all firewall or anti-spyware programs on the system when running the installation.  It may be possible that another program is preventing the MP Drivers Installer.

    According to the description, it looks that you are not able to install Windows XP Media Center.

    I have a couple of steps that should help you to solve this problem.

    Follow these 4 steps to install the KB925766 correctly:

    a. if the 886904 update is installed, you must uninstall the 886904 update before you install the Update Rollup 2 for Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005. Otherwise, the installation of .NET Framework 1.1 SP1 will fail.

    To determine whether the 886904 update is installed, follow these steps:

    i. click on start, run, type appwiz.cpl, and then click OK.

    II. Click to select the show updates check box.
    III. in the list currently installed programs, locate the following item:

    Fix for Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 (KB886904)

    If you see this option, you must remove the hotfix. To remove the patch, click on the Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 (KB886904) Hotfix and then click on remove. Then, visit the Windows Update Web sit to download and install the Update Rollup 2 for Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005.

    b. to install this update, you must have Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 and .NET Framework 1.1 SP1 installed. Windows Update detects whether these packages are installed. Windows Update automatically installs these packages for you.

    We are not able to install Windows Mobile device Center 6.1 in the context of the system. We have only 2 options to install any application via SCCM. (1) user, 2) system context. In the context of the user, we will not be able to install the application and system installation of context is a failure. Exe installs fine when we run as admin, but we do not have admin context option in SCCM 2012. Please confirm that we have any other new exe or we can not install in the system context.

    When you formatted the disk you also partition?   Also, what version of Windows you are trying to install the system, and what media you are using to install it?

    Have you entered THE system BIOS and changed the SATA settings to see if you can get Windows to load on this subject?

    As it is has no drivers 64 bit Windows 7 on Dell Web site, your best chance is to install the 64-bit versions of Vista (if they exist) in compatibility mode, viz:

    Right click on the Vista driver, then select Properties > Compatibility tab. Now choose to run the program in Vista compatibility mode and then apply > OK. Right click on the file and select run as administrator to install it.

  • Since installing windows 10 display problems

    I am new to these forums and I hope someone can help me with a problem since installing windows 10 last night, I. When I opened the premier, everything seems to go well except I get no video previews in the source or timeline panels. When I play the clip I can hear the audio but just get a white screen where the video should be.

    I tried to open an old project, create a new project and import a mp4 clip over and the same result.

    I tried to switch back compatibility on windows 8 and empty my cache of media folder.

    I use the latest version of the first pro, but when I went to update this morning I also get an error message.

    Everyone knows about it or have any solution?

    I would say that switching video converter.

    Go to file > project settings > General and change the "Video Renderer" to "only Mercury playback engine software. Click 'OK' and select "Remove the Previews". Save the project and then restart Premiere Pro.

    The information I've found can help you with scanning on Windows 10.

    First, you must consider the information contained in these resources.

    If you printer software was installed before your upgrade, I try to uninstall the software completely and then reinstall it by using the most recent driver available on the HP Web site. Here's how to clean all the drivers of your computer.

    I recommend referencing the steps described in this document to make sure that you haven't missed anything whatsoever; Uninstalling the printer software - use as a rough guide, but the steps for Windows 8 should be pretty close to Windows 10.

    You can also delete files using disk cleanup - take care to put check marks in selection boxes when it is available. (Once again Windows 8)

    Software drivers can hide other places would be in your device manager.

    To open Device Manager:
    1) enter the Device Manager in the search field.
    2) click on Device Manager.
    (3) you can click on View, in the upper part of the windows, click Show hidden devices.
    (4) to develop the types of devices and check for any pilot associated with your printer.
    (5) to remove a device from Device Manager, click on the name of the device in the list and then click Uninstall.

    I bought a P100-160 (PSPAAE - 01D00UEN) with Vista pre-installed. Could not stand Vista so I just installed Windows XP.

    However, I can't my LAN to work properly. In other words, I can make it work with the 'Ethernet Cardbus Card"connected, but I can't make it work via the RJ-45 connector!

    Does anyone have an idea of what I can do and how I can fix this.

    PS: Did you test if the network card works in Linux? You may download some Linux Live-CD and try with your machine. Would give you some clarification
