Hello

It may be interesting to try to reset the Windows Media Player as follows.

Click on the Start Menu and select Control Panel.  Open programs and features, click on "Windows turn features on or off", open media features and uncheck the box Windows Media Player.  Click Yes and then click OK, and then restart the PC.

When Windows has restarted, click the Start Menu and select Control Panel.  Open programs and features, click on "Windows turn features on or off", open check Windows Media Player and media features.  Click Yes and then OK and when WMP is finished installing, restart the PC again.

Kind regards

  • Backup has encountered a problem during backup of the C:\windows\system32\config\systemprofile\Desktop\music file. Error: (System does not find the specified path. (0 x 80070003))

I had to uninstall iTunes a few months ago and successfully re-installed, but part of my music was missing.   At one point, following the instructions on a thread on the forums Apple or Microsoft, I saved my music library on the desktop. Since then, I do not have a library of music on the desktop file.  In my looooooong hours trying to fix things, I do not know if I deleted it or what.

    Now, I get the message:

"Backup has encountered a problem during backup of the C:\windows\system32\config\systemprofile\Desktop\music file. Error: (System does not find the specified path. (0 x 8007003)) "whenever I have backup my computer.

As I understand it, that does not affect really any other files, they rely on the spot (I think), but

HOW CAN I GET RID OF THIS MESSAGE? or what is the cause?  Of course, I could use help in simple English, step by step, as I'm not very techno...

    Thank you!!!

    Hi serene,

Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Community.

As indicated by the error, this problem appears, when these files/libraries that are saved automatically are not present on your computer. I suggest you to follow the steps below and check, if it can help solve the problem.

    • Create missing files that are listed in the error message.
    • Exclude files from the files to backup in the backup settings and then include these files in their original location. To exclude folders in other communities and to include these files in the original location, follow these steps:
      1. In Control Panel, open backup and restore.
      2. In the section back up , click change settings.
      3. In the dialog box Configure the backup , click Next.
      4. In the dialog box that you want to save , click Let me choose, and then click Next.
      5. Expand data files, library, expand additional locations, and then click to clear the check boxes folder AppData, Contactsand Research .
      6. Expand computers, expand the element of your system drive (for example, expand Local disk (c)), expand users, , and then click to select the checkboxes AppData, Contactsand Research if they exist.
      7. Click Next, and then click Save settings and exit.
      8. Backup and restore, click back up now to perform a new backup. The backup operation must complete without errors.

If the problem persists, I suggest you follow the steps in the following article for troubleshooting backup problems.

    Hello

You did changes to the computer before the show?

These problems occur because the folders or libraries that you are trying to back up or restore include a reparse point. Analytical points are similar to shortcuts Windows or Unix symbolic links. A point of analysis can be used to point to a file that is moved temporarily to a different drive.

    Hello

    1. with the device that you are trying to synchronize?
2 - is the first time you try to sync Windows media player?

Windows Media Player has encountered a problem during the synchronization of the file to the portable device. Because this error can occur for various reasons, there is no single solution.
To resolve the problem, try to disconnect and reset. See your device manual for specific instructions on performing this procedure.

In some cases, this error may occur if you try to synchronize a file hidden on a device. To resolve this problem, delete the file in the sync list or change the properties of the file so that the file is not hidden.

    Hello MactabardX,

I try and remove Windows Media Player and then reinstall it.
Uninstalling and reinstalling Windows Media Player:
    Step 1.
    Uninstalling Windows Media Player:
    1. go to start and in the search type "Turn Windows willing or not.
    2. click on "Turn Windows features on or off".
    3. search for multimedia and uncheck the brand in the face of Windows Media Player.
    4 restart the computer

    Step 2.
    Reinstall Windows Media Player:
    1. go to start and in the search type "Turn Windows willing or not.
    2. click on "Turn Windows features on or off".
    3. find the multimedia functions and place a check mark in front of the Windows Media Player.
    4 restart the computer.

If you encounter problems with Windows Media Player, try to use the Troubleshoot utility to see if that fixes the problem.

Open the troubleshooting Windows Media Player settings Troubleshooter by clicking the Start button, then Control Panel. In the search box, type troubleshooting, and then click Troubleshooting. Click View all, and then click the Windows Media Player settings.

If the size of the .wmv files is too large, it can cause Windows Media Player to stop working.

I try and remove videos from Windows Media Player library and test to see if the size of the files could be a problem.

If please reply back and let us know if these steps helps.
