hidden behind the flash file menu

Hello

This is probably the answer somewhere, but I can't seem to find it. This is my first time coming to this forum. I have a good knowledge of HTML, learn CSS and just started with DW CS3.

I have a drop down at the top of my page. In the body of the page is a flash (.swf) file. The drop-down menu falls behind the flash file. I played a bit with z-index to try and stack the elements correctly, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. I need the combo of being above everything else. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Murray,
Thank you for your quick response. That did the trick in IE6, IE7 and Firefox. Appreciate your help in resolving this fight almost 2 weeks to understand.

    The first thing to try is to go to system preferences > displays and your screen resolution you're going down. You may need to try a few different settings, but ultimately he can put it back and then you can return to the correct setting for your screen.

  • CSS menu goes behind the flash animation. Help, please

    Hello;
    I wrote a cf / css dynamic menu. I have 1 question with it. I have a flash movie on the page, and when you hover over the menu drop / nav, the menu goes behind the flash animation and makes the other links in the nav unusable. Is there a script for a code that will make the NAV go over the animation and not behind it?

    I tried a number of things, I figured out it's wmode it's my problem. I have wmode = opaque working in all browsers accept IE 7.0, I tried wmode = transparent, and does not either. Am I missing something? is there something else to do for IE7 that I did not read?

    Hello

    I don't know if this will help, but my script code contains an if-else statement before the function AC_FL_RunContent. Looks like this...

    If (AC_FL_RunContent == 0) {}
    Alert ("this page requires AC_RunActiveContent.js.");
    } else {}
    AC_FL_RunContent)
    Rest of the code
    )
    }

    And the AC_RunActiveContent.js file is always there when I publish my Flash movie.

    Try adding the above and see what happens?

    The wmode transparent value should work as I've seen it work for other people. Hmmm...

  • JavaScript menu bar is lost behind the .swf file

    I have a drop down of the bar menu that was created using javascript. I have insterted a photo gallary swf file created in Flash. The problem is that the menu bar disappears behind the .swf file. How can I make the menu to show the photo gallary bar?

    Thank you!

    All active content on a page will always come to the top, so to speak,
    including Flash, some elements of form, Java applets and controls Active X.
    This means that each one will push through the layers. It is not a good
    Cross-browser/platform reliable way to solve this problem, but if you can be
    confident in your visitors using IE 5 + or NN6 +, you can then use the Flash
    setting wmode (However, Safari does not support this correctly!).

  • I use view all bookmarks to set up a menu. When I click on something it often becomes hidden behind the menu page. This started to happen with the latest Firefox upward

    I use view all bookmarks to set up a menu. This page is now tagged library.
    When I click on something it often becomes hidden behind the library, rather than to the front where it is supposed to be. It started to happen with the latest update of Firefox.

    Can it be fixed?

    Sometimes, I noticed when I open a link in Firefox that the window that I expect to appear and stay out in front did not stay in front. I have not been able to identify a model, and just try once your script, it's not happened to me.

    If you have a widescreen monitor, another option for the use of bookmarks, in addition to the Library/Organizer and the dropdown menu, is to use the sidebar (press Ctrl + b to open and close).

    The reason is simple.  Your #nav div has z-index 3. Your div #image Wolf also has z-index 3.  Because the #nav div is taken before the div of Wolf, it's on the page under the div of Wolf, and is where the submenus are too.  But wait, you say?  The submenus have a z-index of 1020, you say?  Ahh - but it's part of a z-index of parent of 3.  The z-index of 1020 is only in the context of this relative z-index 3, not the entire page.

    To resolve this problem, give the #nav div a z-index of 4.  You will now see...

  • APEX Date Picker values hidden behind the report headings interactive.

    Hello

    I use apex oracle 5.0 (Application Express 5.0.0.00.31), I've created an interactive report with the search parameters that are of the date fields. When I click on the datePicker, date values are hidden behind the interactive report columns. I tried to recreate the problem in Apex.oracle.com, but his works well here. Interactive report headings are set to the default Page. If I change that for fixed to region work is fine. But what is the problem in fixing the Page? Can someone tell how can I fix this problem?

    This is bug #20812030. It is not reproducible on apex.oracle.com because it has been set at APEX 5.0.1. You need to repair or upgrade your installation up-to-date 5.0.2 patch level, or work around the problem by setting the IR position property set to None.

    Yes. There is a bug in 5 APEX.

    Modify your interactive report-> report attributes-> position-> value 'None '.

    Reference: Datepicker dates behind the report header when you try to pick a date

  • How can I copy unchanged object of the Flash file in my new work file.

    Hello. I changed an entry in my Flash file layer moving around various elements within the layer. I still have the original file, too. Thanks for any help you can give.

    Best - Catherine

    I did a lot of changes over time, and I realized only there is a better way to do it. I would therefore delete this "sprite" and put the old one back in.

    Drag your old your old library flash sprite to your new flash library.  Click on your new sprite on stage and in the properties panel, click swap.  Select the old sprite.

    Also, how would I add a blank layer of the flash file?

    in your editing panel, at the bottom, to the extreme a l' extreme gauche left is a new layer icon.  Click to add a layer.

  • Could not import the flash file in presenter

    I am running presenter 7.0 in PPT 2007. Other than the problem I have with a video file flash, it seems to work correctly.

    I created a flash video in Captivate (it is a demonstration of the short software), and I want to integrate it into a presentation using Presenter. But when I select "insert a swf file" tab in Adobe Presenter, I never have a chance to select the swf file I want.

    I expect a file at this point selection dialog box. Instead, I went to Internet Explorer and more, nothing happens.

    The flash file works fine as a stand-alone running in Internet Explorer.

    Is "Insert a swf file" the right way to add this video? Is there a better way to incorporate this Captivate video?

    A dead end I tried already: I looked at the description of the problem ' video import failed. Adobe Presenter 7.0.7', but this is not my problem. I'm running (not 7.0.7) 7.0, and the registry key mentioned on the Adobe Presenter support site (TreatFLVCheckWarningAsError) is not present on my computer.

    Thanks for your help.

    -George

    OK, I recommend all first that inquire through the Adobe update 7.0.6 or 7.0.7 via the download available to the public at http://www.adobe.com/products/presenter/.

    As for your question to import the flash file, if you use Captivate 5 or 5.5 he published in AS3 (ActionScript 3) only, and presenter 7.0.0 - 7.0.6 is an AS2 application. Therefore, your Captivate SWF files will not work in presenter. So, if you use Captivate 5 or newer, you must go to introduce 7.0.7 to SWFs to work.

    The problem you describe seems to me that you are working on a PPT file located on a shared drive. Presenter do not work with files that are not on your computer and will tend to not show the Insert Flash, video or Audio dialogs if the presentation is on a shared drive.

  • Floating frame by placing the flash file

    Ask yourself, is that someone can give me a hand here. I put a flash file in an existing page that has CSS. The flash file will always in the upper left corner. The file is p; laced in a table therefore must stay there but the CSS for some reason any takes over. Is there a way to show where it is placed with them disrupt the CSS too?

    flash.JPG

    First off I don't see a DOCTYPE declaration:

    http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tag_doctype.asp

    or

    http://www.w3schools.com/HTML5/tag_doctype.asp

    Then I suggest that you create a simple image the exact same dimensions as the .swf.

    width = "512" height = "288".

    and get that placed exactly where you want it on the Web page. Once that is done, then place the .swf in this space.

    Creating a type of replacement content and get this working first is the recommended method to use .swfobject (which is what you use for Flash detection).

    If you can not get the picture placed correctly... the problem has nothing to do with Flash.

    Because the Flash is placed at the top left, it seems that you could have a id or some other problem naming that takes the natural flow Flash content and implementation before the other content... or it could be because there is no DOCTYPE.

  • need help: enter the flash file in Dreamweaver site with dark background

    Hello
    I entered a SWF in a site dreamweaver with a dark blue background. When you view the site in a browser, there is a white square (the size of the flash file) which flashes for one second before the file begins to load. It is rather ugly and I was wondering if anyone knew how to avoid this white square of flashing to the top.
    I tried already to make the bottom of dark blue table and adding a dark blue square as a background image, but that didn't make a difference.
