Hidden jpeg and gif files
How can I find and view hidden jpeg and GIF files that are located in the temp internet folder. Under XP I could search and find them in Vista I can't find them. I want to see what has been seen on my computer.
Hello
They are located in:
Your username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files C:\Users\
Your username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet Files Low C:\Users\
Since these are system files to folders you use Start - computer OR Windows
Explorer - Tools - Folder Options - VIEW - uncheck that hide operating system files - protected
APPLY / OK
IE - Options - general tab - browsing history - settings - Internet also shows you the current
Location and you can view items, view files or even change the location (NOT recommended).

I withdrew just a very good old scanner which apparently couldn't handle the recent installation of Windows XP Service Pack 2 or 3, and went with a rather nice Epson V330 Photo. I uninstalled all old software, want my images to JPEG and BMP to open in Adobe PhotoShop Elements 8 for editing and development. It is my job and my hobby and means of photography technique. I reinstalled the scanner by removing the Arcsoft software with which it has been furnished, which is not really suitable for what I do.
Now, I can not open JPEG in PhotoShop Elements 8.0 and here I get the error message:
C:\Documents and Settings\Jim\My Documents\My Pictures\img005.jpg is not a valid Win32 application
It seems to have something to do with the hack with the folder options after that I spilled the Arcsoft as any kind of primary program.
BUT I have to open JPEG files, and it MUST be in PhotoShop Elements 8, I bought. I can see, overview and could open to the limited capacity of some of the ArcSoft stuff, but I'm not interested in distance using that.
How can I get these files/folders to open in something useful? I was able to create JPEG on the new scanner, but now my computer opens not those or 'old' of my files. See the warning message.
I'm trying to uninstall all the software now and do not reinstall the stuff of Arcsoft, which would not be useful for me in any setting. But I do not think that this will be the solution, as my computer can not open these key files in PhotoShop Elements 8.0.
I think it's something I did during the passage, but I did system restore and NO RESULT. NONE!
If you open a directory of photos and go to the thumbnail view in Explorer, they display the thumbnails correctly?I think that you need to reset the file association for programs that open the image files. Try a right-click on a jpeg file and go to properties and click on the button to edit, and then designate PS elements 8 as the top program open with, and then see if it works very well. You can also check the settings in the registry for the types of image files. Lost the ability to save files jpeg and gif on my system!
All the images that I record on my computer suddenly changed to a "jpeg" to "png" and it wouldn't even give me the option to save in any other format different from that of "png" or "bitmap". How can I get this option because I can't save the formats 'gif' no more? Is there maybe a program I downloaded has changed the format? I already tried the 'auto play' settings and other options but I am out of ideas now. I know how to change the format of single images that I use "irfan view" or painting to do, but I would like to know how to change the format of all my pictures files. Thank you.

Viewing JPG and GIF files crashes the server (Windows Server 2008)
I work in an office with windows server 2008 and we are having a problem where the right click images and choosing preview or open with IE will crash our server, then everyone must wait 3 minutes to go. I tried like 2 hours and cannot find any info on this problem online. Everyone knows about this problem with Server 2008? It seems to be very consistent and arrived on different images (JPG, GIF) until we had to install a third Viewer left - but the problem is still there and now and then someone accidentally blocking us.
I have tested what it about three times what about everyone when it crashes - but so far I'm 3 for 3, so I don't think it's randomly occurring even though I don't know if led EACH image.
Help, please!

After picking up my PC, I can't see my jpeg and bitmat files.
None of my photos are visible in "my pictures", on my office files, etc.
I went to PC Tools and click on recovery, then I followed the instructions.
===========================================
With the limited information that you have posted, I can only imagine you
restore the computer to the way it was when it was new. This is commonly called OOBE... Out-of-Box Experience.
If that's what you do... more than likely all your photos
and other personal files are gone. -
Again, the files I'm export are assigned different names than the Illustrator CS4 file or other files in the destination folder.
THX.
It doesn't sound like it's automatic numbering due to several work plans. Unfortunately, there are only a few options... to rename the files of the operating system, use 1 plan of work per file.
I just tested the behavior in CS5, CS6 and CC and it's the same thing. If you check 'Use work plans', you'll get automatic numbering.

Bridge: Why can't add metadata to the gif and pct files?
Don't know what the question is here with Adobe Bridge and gif and pct, but the bridge will not let me add metadata or keywords.
With key words, Bridge displays a window saying that pct and gif files cannot add xmp metadata.
Is there something that I am missing in my settings? Or should I just go ahead and convert all my files gif and pct in format JPEG, TIFF or psd.
GIF is an old format I doubt you can write non-graphical metadata from information for files to gif format: metadata exif, keywords, itpc and others that is used with tiff and jpeg files did not appear in the standard for the CompuServe Graphics Interchange Format (gif) format. . .

Height and width of metadata is not for png and gif format
Hello
the following code works as expected for most types of file
var file = app.document.getSelection("psd, jpg, jpeg, png, gif"); alert(file[0].core.quickMetadata.height); alert(file[0].core.quickMetadata.width);
But he always returns 0 for all png and gif files.
How can I get the value of width and height for files png and gif with bridge scripting (without opening the files in Photoshop)

I have problems when I shoot in raw + jpeg. RAW files seem corrupted!
I have problems when I shoot in raw + jpeg. It seems that the raw files get corrupted. I shot raw without a problem. It's only when I shoot in raw + jpeg. Raw files will not appear in Photoshop elements. I installed the Canon software and could see all the raw files; However, I noticed that when I tried to post some full screen they would not show. I also noticed that these block-ish look raw files. They appear more digital research. Is there a specail required in RAW + jpeg map? I formatted ones I have before their use.
Thank you all for watching my post. I shoot with a 60 d using Photoshop Elements 10. Finally, I called Canon tech support and found out it was the card reader that was causing problems. When I used another card reader, I was able to transfer the Jpeg and raw files. They advised me to connect the camara to the computer to transfer files. I learned to use a card reader and have for years. It was the first time, it caused me problems.

How to: save the image in multiple formats AND edit file names every time automatically?
Hello!
First of all, I hope I'm not opening a discussion that has already been asked/Treaty. a lot. I couldn't find a solution to my particular problem until now in the web and I hope someone can help me.
I work with Adobe Photoshop CC 2015.
My problem is: I work a lot with product photos (whole/collage of several elements) and I want to speed up the process-saving in multiple formats (JPEG and PNG, sometimes TIFF as well).
The initial situation is: I have a main PSD file (to keep things clean and centralized) with several layers, each layer containing a different element. I need to check/uncheck layer visibility often, add/remove elements of collage to generate variants of game.
With every change that I agree (very minor steps), I have to go to SAVE AS... (Shift + ctrl + s)-> SET a format (JPEG, PNG, TIFF)-> EDIT file name (according to whole-variation [e.g. "Assembly-set01_lightbulb" / "Assembly-set01_lightbulb_cable" /...]---> save.) Fact.
And then REPEAT the steps together, define another format drop-down list, change the name of the file again (since the file original .psd remains without additions) and so on...
This process could his insignificant, but for me, when it comes to the variations set, consumes a lot of time, in particular, by taking changes in layers is a matter of 2 clicks.
So what I know: There is an option to automate the in some workflows. I can create an action, where hitting a predefined key, the original PSD is saved as JPEG and PNG. But that's all. No change of name of file or the destination can be performed (AFAIK).
Now what I want: I want to hit a predefined key, SAVE as... context-window, JPEG (...) is defined by default as defined format, I can modify the file name and/or ideally choose another folder to save to (...). Press enter-> the file is saved in JPEG format with the file name and alternative way edited. A new RECORD under... context window appears, PNG (...) is defined as the default format defined, I can still ideally to change the file name and press ENTER to find:
-the original (unchanged) PSD file,
-a copy of this image to JPEG with file name changed (... _xxx.jpg) [in another folder path, if I wanted to.
-a copy of this PNG image with file name changed (... _yyy.png) [so somewhere else if I wanted]
All this with the push of a single button(-combination) and my entry to change the names of files.
Is it possible? I hope that my request is understandable and you could understand, what I want to achieve. The process itself is quite simple, but I have too complex concepts on how I want to maximize my workflow.
Thanks in advance.
Regards, Phil
Hi Phil,
This is something impossible in Photoshop as if now that the process you are looking for is very personalized and can be reached only in Photoshop.
The only way that you can save a JPEG and PNG file is by creating an action, and that's what you have already tried and does not give you an option to change the file name or destination location.

Hi, I am trying to use the entry of the file accept to limit the type of file that the user can choose when downloading a file. in fact, I have two problems that I can't understand our:
1. If i am using the value "image/*" its limit the user to all the images but if i am using a custom limit e.g. "image/jpeg,image/gif,image/png,image/bmp" its show all the limits in the select box but the default value for ths user is "All Files". In Chrome and IE10 its working as needed.
2. When i am trying to limit to "swf" files using the value "application/x-shockwave-flash" its show "All Files". In Chrome and IE10 its working as needed.
I use Windows 7.
Thank you.
Well, it seems you do what it says in the documentation: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/HTML/Element/Input#attr-accept
Firefox actually allow you to drop a folder that is not on the list? In other words, is the problem of acceptance is ignored, or that the filter does not display the dialog box?
Have you had a chance to get all of the bugs in Bugzilla?

How can we allow the notation of a file like flv, rtf and word as we can easily in mp3, jpeg and wmv. ?
Hello
Thank you for contacting Microsoft Community.Unfortunately, this feature is not available in Windows. The feature is limited to media files only and that the support for multimedia files is available in Windows (such as jpg, mp3, wmv), without any obligation to a third party software must be installed (as for the flv file). -
