Hide/show functionality in Oracle Apex

Hi all

There is a demand of our company "options appear when the user places the cursor on the field."

-J' did some research and follow a few steps, but I was not to score to solve. Could someone help me on this.

  1. Created a Multi selection list providing list LOV values.
  2. Create a dynamic action to show/hide select list on appropriate action IE mouse move.
  3. Under properties, I had supplied values as

Name-> demo on show/hide

-> Mouse move event

Type of selection-> Items (s)

Articles-> P1_Assigned

Conditions-> I did not choose anything.

Action-> hide

Fires when the result of the event is-> True

Fire on page Load-> Ticked box

Implemented above feature in version 4.2 of the Apex.

Hi Nanoo Tamiri,

I think that I had pointed out where to put the code:

To achieve this, you must add the small jQuery code in the section "run when Page Loads ' of Page attributes

The attribute page to run when the Page loads (in the Javascript section) is highest in the HTML header, where you must place the following code:

$('#P1_ASSIGNED').hover(function(){
    var count = $(this).children().length;
    $(this).attr('size', count);
    },function(){
        $(this).removeAttr('size');
  });

There are other ways as well:

  • If you want to put in the Header HTML page:

  • Action: create a dynamic action that is triggered when the page loads and executes the javascript code:
$('#P1_ASSIGNED').hover(function(){
    var count = $(this).children().length;
    $(this).attr('size', count);
    },function(){
        $(this).removeAttr('size');
  });

In short, the jQuery code should be run on the Load event of the Page.

And the run when the Page loads, $(document) .ready - jQuery page load event, dynamic Action on the load event of the Page - all these ways trigger the above given the jQuery code on the Load event of the Page.

I hope that helps!

Kind regards

Kiran

  • Community page and Blog with Oracle Apex

    Hi guys,.

    Surprised with the overall function to Oracle Apex 4.1 and its growing popularity by replacing Oracle Forms. I am currently working on an idea to set up a page internal oracle of the community with technical Forums (say as oracle forums, ask tom etc.) as well as a blog page. Is this possible using Oracle Apex? The one you suggest a sample public request/sites with similar characteristics to have a look and feel.

    See you soon,.

    Thanks for your reply. I remember to check these sample application a year back and currently these are not available in the oracle site. Thanks a lot for sharing this. The latest version of Apex 4.1 will allow me to develop similar applications?

    Of course. These applications must run OK, but they don't use any APEX 4.x features. As part of your studies, you might want to run through the upgrade utility to upgrade a little.

  • Oracle Apex: Aggregate also show row

    Hi all

    Currently I use an interactive report Oracle Apex

    Column1 Column2

    A1         1             2

    A2         2             3

    A3         3             4

    A4         4             5

    ----------------------

    10 14

    After the display of data, make some calculations as Column1, Column2, using the SUM aggregate function of interactive report

    But the result shows that the last line of the report , so I have to scroll to see the result

    How to display the result in the first row of the report?

    Column1 Column2

    10 14

    ----------------------

    A1         1             2

    A2         2             3

    A3         3             4

    A4         4             5

    I found the solution

    1. Add void querry to compute the sum
    2. Union with existed result
    3. Use to highlight the service to catch up with the new line
  • Hide/show elements based on the result of the existing function

    Hello

    I have a function that returns two values that are drawn from a process of application On Demand (thanks Shijesh!):
    function myAjaxCall()
    {
       var ajaxRequest = new htmldb_Get( null , &APP_ID. , 'APPLICATION_PROCESS=getStatus',0);
       ajaxRequest.add('P11_PATIENT_ID' , $v('P11_PATIENT_ID'))
       //notice the below line.. use of split function
        ajaxResult = ajaxRequest.get().split(',')
       $s( 'P11_CCSS_STATUS' , ajaxResult[0]);
          $s( 'P11_COPAY' , ajaxResult[1]);
    }
    I'm trying to hide/show the other two items (P11_COPAY_COLLECTED, P11_NO_COPAY_REASON) based on the return value for P11_COPAY.

    Is it possible to add an IF statement for the function to show the two elements only if the value is equal to 'Yes'?

    I tried this, but then the two values (P11_CCSS_STATUS, P11_COPAY) are not returned, much less any hide/show:
    function myAjaxCall()

       var ajaxRequest = new htmldb_Get( null , &APP_ID. , 'APPLICATION_PROCESS=getStatus',0);
       ajaxRequest.add('P11_PATIENT_ID' , $v('P11_PATIENT_ID'))
       //notice the below line.. use of split function
        ajaxResult = ajaxRequest.get().split(',')
       $s( 'P11_CCSS_STATUS' , ajaxResult[0]);
          $s( 'P11_COPAY' , ajaxResult[1]);

    if ( $v ('P11_COPAY' == 'Yes' ) {
         $x_ShowItemRow('P11_COPAY_COLLECTED');

    $x_HideItemRow( 'P11_COPAY_COLLECTED');
    $x_HideItemRow( 'P11_NO_COPAY_REASON');

    Help, please.

    Give you an example of how to do to get there.

    Step 1. Create three elements of the Page

    (1) P1_ORDER_NO - text field

    (2) P1_REVISION_NO - text field

    (3) P1_ENABLE_DISABLE_REVNO - hidden, protected value - no.

    2 create dynamic Actions 3

    (1) disable the revision on the loading of the page number

    Event - loading of the Page

    Action - disable

    Fires when the result of the event is - real

    Selection type - point

    Point - P1_REVISION_NO

    (2) check the number of duplicate order

    Event - change

    Selection type - item (s)

    Article (s) - P1_ORDER_NO

    Condition - is not null

    Action - to execute the PL/SQL Code

    Generate in front of false action - not checked

    Fires when the result of the event is - real

    Fire on page load - disabled

    Stop execution on error - checked

    Wait for the result - verified

    PL/SQL - code

    declare
    l_count number;
    begin
      select count(*) into l_count
        from emp
       where empno = :P1_ORDER_NO;

    if l_count > 0 then
      :P1_ENABLE_DISABLE_REVNO := 1;
    else
      :P1_ENABLE_DISABLE_REVNO := 0;
    end if;
    end;

    To present the page = P1_ORDER_NO

    Page referred to return = P1_ENABLE_DISABLE_REVNO

    (3) enable and disable the revision number

    Event - change

    Selection type - item (s)

    Article (s) - P1_ENABLE_DISABLE_REVNO

    condition - greater than or equal to

    value - 1

    Action - disable

    Fire on Page Laod - disabled

    Generate the opposite action of false - verified

    Selection type = item (s)

    Article (s) - P1_REVISION_NO

    Hope this helps you,

    Hello, what I am trying to achieve:
    https://apex.oracle.com/pls/apex/f?p=63709:1:2676260562286:

    So basically I have 3 region on page load all regions must be hidden, after that the user click on the button (Let's Say ADD_REGION) first region will appear on new clicks of the user on the same button second region indicated even for the third.

    in the link above I created a region called JavaScript_Working in HTML.
    I want something even for areas of oracle apex.

    Tried:

    (1) based on the ID of a region I created a DA who will hide the region during the loading of the page, but after clicking on the button it does not return.

    (2) Css: inline Css section of a page where I had called Display: none with region Id prefix.

    (3) javascript: get Null drop back so this idea.

    Any advice will be good enough.

    Always:

    Identification information: new_b/new_b/new_b

    App: Apex_Community

    ID: 63709

    page: 1

    Thank you.

    This function added

    function check_then_show(p_region) {

        if ($(p_region).css('display') === 'none') { // if  hidden
          $(p_region).show(); //  show
          return true;
        }
        return false; // keep looking for next region

    }

    and this at the click of a button

    if (check_then_show('#region1')) {}
    else if (check_then_show('#region2')) {}
    else if (check_then_show('#region3')) {}

    That will keep test in the order provided.

    Looks like you were something already to help the regions of catalog, you would like to combine? It was just the first idea that worked

  • "Hide / show" regions – how to keep open after send the page

    Hello

    I have several regions ' hide / show ' in my request... when the user submits the page, it closes all the

    is there a way to keep one open that were opened before the page is sent?

    Thanks in advance

    Long answer: forget the hidden item and simply store the values in a cookie.  Use dynamic action, 1 2 plan to store the values when the page is submitted and the 2nd DA to retrieve the value and developing regions.

    Hide and Show parts APEX sticky

    Dynamic action 1

    Name: Save the open areas

    Event: before the Page is sent

    Condition: - no requirement.

    Real Action:

    Action: Run the JavaScript Code

    Fire on Page load: [disabled]

    Code:

    var lOpenRegions = []
    $(".hide:visible").parent(".hide-show-region").each(function()
      { lOpenRegions.push($(this).attr("id")) });
    SetCookie("HideShowOpenRegions",lOpenRegions.join(","));

    Dynamic action 2

    Nom : Open saved regions

    Event: Loading the page

    Condition: - unconditionally.

    Real Action:

    Action: Run the JavaScript Code

    Fire on Page load: [disabled]

    Code:

    if (GetCookie("HideShowOpenRegions")) {
      $.each( GetCookie("HideShowOpenRegions").split(','),
                function(intIndex, objValue) {
                  $("#"+$nvl(objValue,"x")+" .hide:first").show();
                }
      );
    }

  • Show "hide / show region" after calculations

    Thank you in advance,

    I have a number of parts of the report "hide / show" on my page, and two reports are the research areas incorporated with them. What I'm hoping to do, is show a specific skin and region after calculations when it is clicked on the specific button for this area of research. I created a button with more appearing as its URL:

    JavaScript:doSubmit('GO'),hideShow('region3','shIMG3','/i/HTMLDB/Builder/rollup_plus_dgray.gif','/i/HTMLDB/Builder/rollup_minus_dgray.gif ');

    When the button is clicked, the page begins to update, then the region of h + s displays, but once the page finishes refreshing, the region closes upward. I wondered a better way to reload a page, then call the function hideShow? Thank you.

    Use the pad of Signature plugin Enkitec. Why don't you use this plugin, but only its features.

    Also, the plug-in can save the signature to be registered as JSON CLOB or BLOB image in the database.

    dbms_output.put_linethe instrumentation is unnecessary in an environment of APEX (unless the apex_debug.log_dbms_output method has been called). Use apex_debug API methods instead so that information is available in debug mode.

    There is no reason to use dynamic SQL statements in lines 15-17.

    Creating a column named "NO_OF_BCC (GEO)" is not a good idea and is in conflict with the recommendation of the Oracle do not use identifiers in quotes for the names of database objects. This objects will only cause problems and confusion.

    Lines 20 to 23 are a bug. It doesn't hide where any exception occurred in fact. If there is no specific exception that must be handled in this procedure, it should not contain an exception block.
