• Too recent system for server

  You can buy the version 5 of.app; the current version of OS X Server.   Each new version of OS X is usually a new purchase of OS X Server; of Server.app.   (Until Server.app version 5 is released - version 5 is the first that works on both versions.)    Yes, having to buy a new version of STINKS.   But then.app is much cheaper than it used to be.   Some years, I and many others still paid the US$ 1000 for unlimited-users of OS X Server version.  Or more than that, for the version with maintenance and upgrades.

But this is not cookie cutter out of the box.  You must enable the appropriate services before installing the drivers.  Drivers intel aren't addin video card drivers AND Chipset Drivers MUST BE INSTALLED first before anything. The forum is not a medium step by step for an end of an operating system on an unsupported platform.  Even microsoft paid a pension will not learn how to install the server on servers not drivers.

  Well, I really hate asking for help, but I'm desperate. I am the it Director for a medium sized company with about 8 Windows servers and less than 1,000 computers running Windows 7. We are for the most part, the users of power around here, however, I did not yet find a way to deal with fragmentation - mainly on the servers.

  I've been a Windows user since the early days and it is hard to believe that these problems still exist with the Windows file system. Look, I'll take a more stable file system on the flashy graphics in Windows 8 any day. Bottom line - our employees are workaholics and work remotely at any time. I can't run a manual or even schedule a task of defragmentation on these servers without significantly interfere with the performance of all applications that we run.

  Take Exchange - recommend Microsoft running the defragmentation process during off-peak hours and better with Data Exchange is stopped (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/328804). Really? We do not have "off-peak hours" - is that really my only option!

  Take our file servers - they get pretty hammered with constant data transfers going on - with the high rate of editing files that we do here. That we recommend here? Well, by default, the defrag on Windows 2008 utility is OFF - so what say you? I have to manually run everything? No, if I want to keep my job...
  If I look frustrated - it's because I am. What does the rest of the community do IT?

  I managed to install FatWire 7.6P2 locally on Windows 7 with Weblogic Server 10.3.5 and Oracle 11gXE.

  I started with a single instance of CS and AC and added secondary members for CS and CASES. My setup is as follows - two managed servers each with their own CS and AC applications deployed. These two managed servers are part of the same cluster and machine slot the domain used.

  I followed all the steps mentioned in the guide of rollup under the section 'Deploy the Cluster CASE members' secondary.

  When I tried to enable replication of session for Weblogic server as described in the user guide

  I got the following error trying to start the servers managed for CS and CASE - applications [HTTP Session: 100083] the webapp: CS in application: CS has PersistenceStoreType value: replicated for http sessions, but the target list does contain not all members of the cluster: Cluster-0. Inhomogeneous deployment for replicated sessions is not allowed.

  
  

  I believe that this error is thrown because I have deployed my apps on managed servers one at a time and not to the cluster. So, I advanced and deleted the CS and CASE applications and deployed them again to the cluster by using one of the directories archives exploded for CS and the CASE.

  
  

  My question is: is it the right way to do grouping for the CS and CASES?

  
  

  I looked and didn't find any specific member property in the CS and CASE application directories, assuming all the ports and hostname are specific balancing load. The only specific property of members was on host.properties which is present in < cs_install_dir > / bin and I include it in the CLASSPATH and PRE-CLASSPATH entries in the setDomainEnv.cmd and startWeblogic.cmd files before you start managed servers.

  Take a look at the deployment of Sites using WebLogic Server Clustering and replication of Session (Doc ID 1543509.1). It is intended for Sites WebCenter 11 g, but I think it will work for 7.6.2 Sites as well.

• External database manual failover for device to vCO

  Hi all

  I'm trying to switch on my device vCO to a database server of different due to primary DB failure earlier this morning.  I had previously defined the vCO server to use an external database (SQL Server).  Now that I've been able to restore the database of the vCO on the secondary server *, I can't Rob the device vCO on the new server of DB.  Specifically, everything I try to do in the web GUI results in something like this:

  My best guess is this is due to the fact that in the page are stored in the DB and it can't find it.  Is it possible to update the location of the database of the device to vCO outside the GUI?

  * Yay for me to have up-to-date backups.  Boo for me not noticing that the school could not automatically restore those in June)

  Looks like I can fix my problem here...  I realized entry since the vCO device trying to connect to the database server by name, I could add an entry to/etc/hosts to redirect the old db hostname to the new. Once I did, I was able to start the machine and set it up properly to the new host of the DB.

  Maybe this isn't the best solution, or one that would work in all situations, but it did the trick.

• Clustering Windows Server 2008 and the STORport driver

  I recently read on the documentation for "Setup for Microsoft Clustering and Microsoft Cluster Service".  It says to use the LSI Logic STORport drivers with Windows Server 2008 clustering, instead of SCSIport drivers. I can't find the STORport drivers anywhere.  I can't find this on the LSI Logic's Web site.

• Work around for server not found problems on FF36

  I found a work around for all people with server not found problems with FF36.

  If you manually set your DNS network adapter to an external DNS server (as opposed to your local ISP) then the problem disappears. I set mine to use the google DNS servers:

   Preferred: 8.8.8.8
   Alternate: 8.8.4.4
  

  No idea why this works, but it is 100% success on my desktop PC, whereas before I could not connect to a Web page with FF36 without updating the multiple page and a lot of frustration, although FF35 was fine and back to FF35 turnover was as beautiful.

  Something has changed in FF36 and how it manages the DNS or the mode of operation with certain network cards.

  There is nothing to do with the Add - ons, profiles or software firewall as I tried all these things and that the DNS change makes a difference. I even copied on a full profile and directory of program files to work for Mozilla on my laptop which saw no problem and the problem still exists on the desktop, which is why I started watching the network adapater since everything between the working PC and no work was identical.

  I hope that this will help the developers to identify the real cause of the problem and fix it in the next version.

  AG - your problem looks different you had FF36 work.

  Considering that the problem of many of us that when we spend FF35 in FF36 we get a lot of server is found errors when you try to load Web pages.

  Sometimes they load and then they stop loading and then if you click Refresh a lot that they sometimes then charge again, or you have to wait a minute or two and then they load.

  For some reason any using an external DNS server {see # 698286 answer _{~ J99}} has stopped this problem completely, as does return to FF35.

  We need an expert on to Mozilla DNS resolution to focus on this. [*] ^{See my note under ~ J99} Seems to me that you use an external DNS server adds some latency to name resolution and maybe this is necessary for the network card in the PC that encounter this issue to resolve the addresses of Web page.

  Obviously something changed in FF36 FF35 to cause this problem. I'm open to Mozilla contact me by E-mail if they want me to try something else to help pin it down.
