  You can change the relative size of the two with this resizer between two bars.
  You can only do this by adding a lot of space in the view > toolbars > customize window.

  You can set a fixed width by defining the min-width and max-width for the same value.

  Try one of the following...
  1. open Internet options > advanced > under reset Internet Explorer, click Reset > OK

  2. Internet Options > general tab. Under browsing history, check "Delete browsing history on the output" > OK

  Whatever it is, reboot afterwards.

  I ask why that is because I read somewhere that if you disable your story it will also remove the passwords that have been made to these sites. Is this correct?

  Just to have my story go as far as 2002 is just unnecessary and would just erase all of this but I want to assure you that nothing else will get messed up.

  You must use the Firefox password manager to store your passwords, if you do that they will not be lost when you use the options or settings for Firefox to clear your history. You can activate or disable the connections and remove them if you want.

  • Password Manager - don't forget, delete, modify and import passwords saved in Firefox
    • Protect your password in Thunderbird with a master password
    • Note the not currently usable with new synchronization master password if you want to synchronize passwords.

  Hi all

  I am in the middle of a clean reinstall and have been downloaded, so I thought, all Vista, including SP 1 updates.

  Update history shows this is the case, but Win Update indicates that SP1 is ready to be downloaded and installed.

  Vista is not recognizing SP 1 as having been installed because some software will not download except SP 1 is recognized.

  How can I get Vista to recognize the installation?

  Hi all

  Was able to complete the download and installation.

  I first went to the control panel > Device Manager and searched for drivers and found

  two Serial ATA controllers.

  Then I went back to MS and found that I could download and install SP1 without having to

  through Windows Update.

  This approach worked and Win Update tries to download SP1 is no longer.

  I can't install software that requires SP1 before installation.

  I find the too narrow address bar. If it is adjustable, I hope someone can tell me how. Ditto for the search bar.

  If the address bar and search bar are placed side by side with no other button between the two as it is by default, then you can place the mouse pointer between the two bars to see the mouse pointer change an icon resizer (move the mouse pointer slowly horizontally from the address bar to the search bar).
  Note that you can move the search bar 'bar 3' Firefox menu button in the drop-down list to make more room for the address bar.

  The toolbars are still on display in your browser?

  If you still have the address bar, right click on any part that is not a text box or the icon, or if you do not like that of any space right click on the three horizontal lines on the right side of the address bar window. This should show some options, click on 'Menu Bar' and the tabs you are missing should appear.

  As a side note, usually if these options are missing, your icon of firefox in the upper left corner of the window should look different (being a rectangular button itself as opposed to an icon), and the 'file', 'Edition', 'Bookmarks', etc., are found after clicking on this button.

  Probably caused by an incompatible add-on.

  Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that disables certain parameters, disables most Add-ons (extensions and themes).

  If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:

  • In Firefox 29,0 and above, click on the menu button

    

    click Help

    

    then select restart with disabled modules.

  • In previous versions of Firefox, click on the Firefox button in the upper left of the Firefox window and click help (or click on help in the Menu bar, if you do not have a Firefox button) and click on restart with disabled modules.

  If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Mode safe mode as follows:

  • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
  • On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
  • On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode

  When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."

  

  If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, and you need to understand that one. Please follow the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.

  To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

  When find you what is causing your problems, please let us know. This might help others with the same problem.

• How to change background on the address bar and search - it ruins my characters

  I'm addicted to personas however the address bar and search bar are in glaring white instead of transparent like the rest of the top page. This completely destroys the continuity of the photo. I want to make these bars, and everything above the upper transparent reading as the toolbar pane so that the only thing that shows is the icons and text.   A weird icon suddenly appeared between the address bar and search engine... It looks like a 'ball' for a character of cardboard. Cannot understand the source or meaning. Thank you in advance.
