• Firefox 8 is slow to display the web page in the application. If I hilite the address in the URL address line it usually downloads the info immediately. I find that it becomes slowers over time.

  Did you remove all traces of high level in the layers (i.e. "layer-1") Panel?

  When something like you describe is reported, most often the user does not understand the layers of high level exist across all pages and updates on the page of your site. If you delete "Layer 1" you may remove the content of all pages of your site.

  Sorry for such a an easy question, but I just can not find an answer. I have a landing page where my clients can select one of two different applications to use. I created two html buttons and hold the buttons to direct the customer to the correct page in the application when you click it.
  What is the syntax to do this? I t should be easy and I wonder if I'm too difficult. Thank you.

  If you want to be included in the simplest model is to create an element of the application in the shared components, for example:

  MY_VARIABLE

  in the model, you can use & MY_VARIABLE. just like & APP_USER.

  You can set the session in pl/sql variable, for example by:

  apex_util.set_session_state ('MY_VARIABLE', 'MY_VALUE');

  You can access MY_VARIABLE in pl/sql read only using the V function:

  v ('MY_VARIABLE')

  Exactly when and where APP_USER is, I don't know, but I hope this helps.

  At the start of my new home page appears. But after I have visited other sites and you want to go 'home', a previous home page appears.

  Turns out the problem was the identification of 'House' in the name of 'Home' in my bookmarks toolbar. When I clicked on the House to the right of the address bar icon, he was always to the good homepage newly identified. But if I clicked on 'House' name in the bookmarks toolbar, he went to the old location.

  So, I changed the identification of this bookmark and the problem was solved.
