When I put in place many home pages, I get two NEW pages when I click on 'Home'
Firefox on XP 19.0.2
I've always had firefox put in place to open two pages, so that my homepage is
https://www.google.com. https://www.Google.comWhen I open Firefox, I have two tabs, two on Google. If I opened a 3rd tab, I get a blank page. Just what I wanted.
Now, all of a sudden - when I open Firefox, I have my two pages, but if I'm on Page 0 and click on HOME, I get TWO tabs open to my home page (for a total of 4 pages).I read online to replace the hose with 7% C but that causes a Service of-27 error.
Something has changed within FF in the updates... How can I get the expected return behavior?
We try to understand what you want to achieve and perhaps provide an alternative because it does not work with Firefox the way you currently use.
If you set multiple home pages then all of these pages will open if you click the home button.
That has always been the case in Firefox.
In some cases the active tab may be protected and these pages open in a new tab, so you can end up with two additional tabs if you have two pages defined as many home pages. -
Well enough what it says above. I haven't recorded telling me to reopen these pages, but when I launch Firefox, I have three tabs open automatically:
(1) home page.
(2) BBC radio player.
(3) a message board that I use.I can't find a way to stop the loading of these pages.
I'm guessing that you have these other loaded into your homepage layout.
How to set the home page

Firefox will not automatically update my home page, this msg always appears at the top of the window.
This msg appears every time I open Firefox.
Thank you very much. It started just happening once I had installed Windows 7 and I found this extremely annoying as I was clicking the button authorize every time.

I get on the Internet with Firefox, and someone changes my home page of this web site of conduit. I think it's a search engine. In any case, I change back to Yahoo as I want, and they change it right back. I spent the last two nights my antivirus running and try to change my passwords and all that fun jazz and it still happens. Can you do stop, please? I'm tired of resetting my Firefox so that I get rid of this problem too. It's a recurring problem. This is officially the third time, I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox to get rid of this problem, and I'm tired of it.
The Conduit Plugin and associated preferences changes become installed by themselves, the user is involved due to the installation of the extensions of 'shit' or other garbage programs. You must be more careful when they decide which modules or programs you install.
For correct Firefox the first thing to do is remove this extension has entrusted the toolbar through the Add-ons Manager Extensions tab.
https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/KB/remove-toolbar-has-taken-over-your-Firefox-searchThen install the extension search Reset - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/searchreset/
Then fix everything: newtab - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/new-tab-page-show-hide-and-customize-top-sites#w_how-do-i-turn-the-new-tab-page-off - preference and instead of double-click that preference, right-click this pref and select ' Reset. "

So, when I click on the Home icon at the top right of my Firefox page using my Center wheel, a new tab opens is more like
my home page. Now, nothing happens when I do this.
There is an extension or two or a combination of extensions that appear to be originally in Firefox 6.0.2. One that has been mentioned is TabMix Plus.
http://support.Mozilla.com/en-us/KB/troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes
You need to understand what is the cause and disable this extension/s until they are fixed by their developer.

Is Home Page ask supposed to be attached to the home page of Firefox? How can I get rid of this mess? I have Windows 8, I hate.
Trovi is another piece of malware:
It could not fix problems 100%, but it will certainly get you 95% of the way which it - try scanning with antimalware free tools that can work alongside your antivirus existing:
- MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware
- AdwCleaner (for more information, see this other AdwCleaner download page)
- Microsoft safety scanner
- Anti-Rootkit utility - TDSSKiller
- Hitman Pro

How is it that everytime I open Firefox, I get my home page more another blank tab?
After you install a new motherboard on my Dell, everytime I open Firefox, I get my home page more another blank tab. Never happened before. Help!
This problem may be caused by the MySearchDial extension.
You can also check if you have a user.js file in the profile folder to initialize prefs each time you start Firefox.
The user.js file is present than if you or another software has created this file and normally it wouldn't be here.
You can check its contents with a text editor (right click: open with) If you do not create this file yourself. The user.js file is read whenever Firefox is started and initializes the preferences to the specified value in this file, so the preferences set via user.js can be changed temporarily for the current session.

I had trouble due, apparently, to a file named popuptransparent [dot] xul, which I have 3 cases on my computer (Win XP/Firefox last v.). Using my window of AVG home page, I get "popuptransparent" (try to fix) and the results appear OK. But then when I click to a new tab, on the "transparent popup" link in the query "did you mean: transparent popup", NO RESULTS appear in this new tab. In addition, when I reload then the Panel of AVG which sought to 'popuptransparent' in the first place, it, too, shows now no results. Or a panel shows Google now no results. They show the quantity of results, but just white screens for the results themselves.
Links https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/948804?esab=a & as = aaq and https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/952141?esab=a & as = aaq brings me. I re-installed Firefox v. 20.0.1 nothing works. How to fix?
Should I remove it from my computer all 3 of these instances of xul [dot]?
Regarding the problem of searching, you can check the extension "Disconnect"? I think it could affect the Google sites and third parties who use Google. You can disable or try its button Options here:
Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > addons > Extensions category
While you're there, you can disable all extensions essential and unrecognized. When in doubt, turn off.
After restarting Firefox, did you notice a difference?
Could you explain in more detail the next part?
Should I remove it from my computer all 3 of these instances of xul [dot]?
Is this something that came in a security sweep? What question do you think they are originally? They are located in a folder extensions?

I use Windows XP on a PC and Windows 7 on a MacBook Pro.
In both cases, as my start page, I use "http://www.google.be/firefox?client=firefox-a & rls = org.mozilla:nl:official".
Under the Googleframe remains the message "U used nieuwste van Firefox versie niet. Upgrade om het beste ITU internet het vandaag you halen! »
False: my Firefox is already up-to-date.You are indeed updated. Firefox stopped using this address as its start page by default when 4.0 is released - page that you use can be (incorrectly) assuming that, if you are looking at him, you must always be on Firefox 3.6.
If you restore the default home page , you should get more updated information.

This site has been reported as dangerous go to my home page instead
This arose on a legitimate and popular Web site. so far, he has not appeared on other sites, what I understand would indicate that my computer is infected. I click on go to the home page because I thought that this could be dangerous. (right)? being given that I closed the window without clicking anything whatsoever, is this the end of it? can I safely visit this site again and just close the window if it happens again?
I guess I should add that I tried to find the answer to this question for two hours. I keep getting answers that relate to already be infected, and I don't think that this is the case; I did a full scan with MSE. other responses focus on dangerous Web sites and is not the case. I tried to find out if the site had been hijacked and found nothing to indicate a general problem.
If it is relevant, I'm on a public wifi, which, knock wood, has never caused any problems.
I hope that's not stupid. Thank you.
Hey carbunkle,.
Which is logical. And I don't have a direct response. Make your own judgment, there is popup ad which seem to come from Internet Explorer, but are not, and those I would say don't not clicking on, but if you can tell the difference between a true guest and an a popup, then you can trust official guests.I am pleased to hear that the issue has not yet reached. Let us know if you have any other questions. Thank you! -
I use Cyber duck to download my Muse site and all was well until recently.
It looks good on mobile, iPhone and safari. When I open my site on desktop chromium, it seems fine at first, but then if I click on my home button, it goes back to a previous version, making two pages (home page and the about page).
I emptied my FTP and re downloaded and it's the same thing. only bring my site on Chrome.
I noticed one thing is when the site opens there not/index.html at the end then when I click on the home/index.html page appears again at the end of the url and the previous version.
If anyone has any ideas that would be appreciated.
Here is the site that I speak to you. www.hilltopstudiosbath.co.UK
I wonder if it's just my chrome which is the problem and not the site. Maybe if someone else can check it for me.
Thank you
It is difficult to say if it works or not because we do not know what looks like the old version. If it only happens in Chrome (I guess it's just Chrome on your computer?), then this is probably a caching issue. Press Ctrl / Cmd + Shift + Delete to open the dialog box clear browsing data. You should be able to get away with fair compensation for the image and the file cache. Close Chrome once that you did. It must address issues of the site.
