• Help! I can't change the search engine for the Firefox widget on my home screen

  OK, so my engine failure to research on FF for Android is Duckduckgo. It is also the only one I have in my list of search engines in FF settings. I also use the search widget FF on my homescreen for quick search. It is and has always been, Duckduckgo. But, all of a sudden after the recent update (I use the FF, 36 beta something), for my search widget on my home screen, switched to Google search engine! I don't know why... I never use it. But this applies only to the search engine for the FF search on my home screen widget, not when I'm looking for something in FF itself. Does anyone else have this problem?   I found a way to implement back to DuckDuckGo after a bit of fiddling with the default search engine in the browser.

  I think that the update should have overridden the setting somehow. What you need to do is to any other search engine default, then set DuckDuckGo returned as default. This will also update engine of the widget's default search.

  The easiest way is probably in bookmarks the page that you are willing to have the icon and by changing the name of the bookmark by pressing on long, long press again to add it to your screen.

  You can move any icon in the home screen, press menu, go to the icn that you want to move and press menu, and you have the cahnace move to the right, left, up and down.

  If you want to move any icon into any folder, do the same thing and you have the chance to go to the home screen.

  First of all, make sure that you have downloaded and saved the Google wallpapers you want a permanent location that is easy for you to remember (I keep my in a folder called "D:\Wallpapers").

  Right-click on the desktop, select 'Customize' in the menu. When this window opens, select background theme your record (s). This opens a new window, backgrounds.

  Now go to the drop down next to the word go. Click on that and navigate to the folder where you saved your Google wallpapers (my D:\Wallpapers). Who fills the box of the window below with thumbnails of wallpapers.

  Select the ones you want, and then select all desired display options. So remember to save your work by clicking on "Save Changes" and when you return to the main control panel customization window, right click on the unsaved theme, you just created and save it as a name and the options you want.

  Bookmark saved on the phone screen would be the favicon on your site, you can change Site Properties.

  What about adding site favicon in the home screen, you can add the bookmark of the browser on the screen first and then the browser settings, add bookmark with the site name in the home screen.

  Now, access geolocation is refused on any web application generated from 'Add to home screen' browser bookmarks. Web applications like Google Map has worked well and I used to be able to get my current position, but after a guest preferred geolocation came from nowhere and I clicked 'decline', now geolocation access denied for web applications full screen on the home screen. If I run the same page on the browser, it is still fine.

  I did, but turns out that I accidentally turned off geolocation application under App permissions ' settings' which actually turn it off for all these 'add to home screen' web apps.

  Thanks for the suggestions anyway. Also, I just discovered this site m.scout.me, which offers voice turn-by-turn navigation guided free html5. That's why I wanted to fix this so I could use this web app in full screen.

  I've had three questions for you gurus:

  (1) is there a way that I can choose which icons appear on the home screen, so that I don't not to hit the MENU button and then scroll to access ones I use regularly...?

  (2) ATT (in the United States) made wonder a user name and password when I try to connect to att.com/blackberrystart.  I already put in place an email 'external' non-Exchange, the private, ([email protected]) on my phone, but of course I can't use it to connect to this site.  Does anyone have an idea as to what is happening?

  (3) even if I send emails using this account [email protected] of "BOLD", what should I do to RECEIVE emails on account of [email protected] using POP?

  You can hide those that you no longer want to see. Just ALT + click the trackball on those that you do not want to see and choose hide. With the default theme only the top row of icons will be visible without hitting the menu button.

  Recently, I changed the screen on my iPhone 5. Vertical lines appeared suddenly, tried to clean the connectors and re - attach firmly but not joy. Got a new screen fixed it and everything is fine.

  Unfortunately now the app Message randomly closes in addition to not being able to view previous messages or even send/receive texts. I am also unable to receive calls; can make calls but not receive. Although I double and triple checked all the connections of these new symptoms persist. Everything works fine, including the third-party apps like WhatsApp.

  To do a full test of the ability to touch the screen, go to the home screen, press and hold an icon until it wobbles, then drag it across the screen.
