  I'm building a website in Dreamweaver CS6, and the client wanted an introduction on the homepage animation.

  I did this as a gif animated which works well and put a "Click to enter" link at the bottom which is a bit ugly.

  Ideally once the animation is complete they would it automatically changes to the next page.

  Is this possible and if so, how?

  Not possible with an animated GIF. Quite possible with animation of html 5, though. You might want to try to animate dashboard.

But if you go to another page on the site and then return to the homepage animation works again (I guess because it is recharged as the page reloads).   You can use the SharedObject class as a way to remember a user visited (mainly the Flash version of the cookies).  So you would air this cookie and if found you would jump some animation occurs.  Otherwise, you may have to all other pages back to a different version of the homepage... onr that has a non-animated version of the Flash content.

  I created a flash animation I want to use as your intro for a Web site. Successfully, I have embedded the swf file in an html doc and set the LOOP parameter to false so that it runs only once.
  
  Once the animation is complete, I want to pass on automatically to a homepage. I think there must be a script or something that I can place after the last frame of the animation. It must be a pretty common task, but I'm unable to find documentation. Any ideas?

  With updates from disabled, you just don't you new footage, which includes things like the animated map, flashing Firefox logo to the left of the code snippet and the bouncing star behind the main logo icon. You always get the default snippets included with Firefox, that are not animated.

• Firefox crashes on the youtube homepage

  Whenever I try to raise to youtube.com, I get the spinning wheel of death, and firefox is not responding. This happens ONLY on the homepage. If I go to video pages, they play very well.

  This happens on other websites as well. If this happens on a given site, it ALWAYS happens on the same site, but I don't know what these sites have in common. Maybe ads?

  I've removed all the Add-ons, given to zero/refreshed and re-installed firefox, always have this problem. It is only with firefox.

  I hope someone can help me. I've created an Animation of edge for my homepage, published, placed as a file OAM in the muse page and published the Business Catalyst site. The page that displays a "page not found" error I had work yesterday, but had to make some changes and today it does not work - and I don't think that I have done anything differently. I also noticed that, for some reason, this page shows the "Export Page" Toggle Outlining as being disabled. Any idea what is the problem?

  Check the file if its properly linked on the page, also try to preview and check.

• Animations of incomplete edge of a Muse

  Hello. I posted about a month ago. I'm back because I have not yet solved this conundrum. I don't know if it is a Muse or delivers an edge so I write this in the two forums.

  The problem is that two of the main Edge animations on my Muse site (on the splash screen and the homepage) are missing files when they play.

  
  

  All troubleshooting I downloaded a Business Catalyst site created. Everything works as it should be on there, but not on my host and domain.

  When you looked at the files in the manosdesign.com/index.html , that I have observed that there are 13 missing images.

  

  Then, I checked the URL of one of the missing picture.  http://manosdesign.com/assets/manos_splashthree/MANOS_web.new/hand_top.jpg this path's capital letter inside and I was getting 404 error. When I removed the uppper uppercase in the path and replaced by lower-case letters, the computer showed me the image.

  This means that your FTP server is set to secret uppercase to lowercase in the record creation process. Now, you have 2 ways of more to come this problem.

  1. contact your webhost and ask them to change this behavior of the tiny upper case conversion and download it again, the site

  2. instead of using the current file of OAM, re - open your dashboard project animate > rename it with lowercase and publishing the OAM file that will have lower case name and file names. Use the new file OAM (with lower case the latter) and you should be all set.

  Simply put, I have four buttons: home, Portfolio, comments and Contact. Each of the boxes are MovieClips and they animate when rollOver and rollOut.

  When for example you are on the home page and you click the portfolio button, I want my homepage go up and then the Portfolio page comes down, now on the Portfolio page and you click the about button, the Portfolio page will go up, and then down the page About.   If you use the Tween in the timeline, you'll have a mess.  you will need 12 frames with interpolations of 4 pages (or more generally n * n - n frames to n pages).

  Use the class tween and actionscript to interpolate your pages:

• Animated FireFox iFrame issues

  Recently, we have built an animation for the homepage of Peercover. The animation works on every browser dev.peercover.com/animation , but when it is placed on the homepage http://dev.peercover.com in an iFrame, many animated SVG symbol objects are moved down on FireFox. I guess it must be a big problem for many people as edge animations belong in iFrames for reasons of loading on the insertionary JS pages. Help, please!
