Honest Opinion on Metalink3 customer connection replacement

I had a look at metalink3, and as a PeopleSoft customer user of the connection, I certainly would not connect me to this site again.
By far the worst possible solution Oracle has implemented...

You're right, that it becomes very difficult to find something useful through the knowledge tab. We should be able to devote the topic and see the subtitel without going inside, often means that we have to go and choose another link if the first was wrong.
I don't know, but it seems that the new design of the Oracle support are not for technical people who wants to rapid search and information clearly.
Through this new site, nothing help in this way.
One last thing is the search for product, not list, we are force to put something that exactly matches what is currently...

We'll see by the coming Friday how Peoplesoft will entirely be intregated in Metalink3, but seems to have no hope of getting a better interface.

Just trying to make sure that I understand the comments because the words/phrases as "custom queries" and "correlation" means different things to different people technically both are possible in LI, of course it depends on the specific use case, but what are the characteristics that you are aware of / tried. For example, LI normalizes the timestamps already (and has since version 1.0) for different formats between VMware logs and Java applications have no importance. See for example this post: time to the Insight Journal: events, timestamps + queries - SFlanders.net. In addition, LI has improved over time and now natively supports a parser of timestamp on the client through the agent LI: newspaper Insight 3.0 Agents: Timestamp Parser - SFlanders.net. Long story short, I agree that the product has evolved since you finally tried, but I also think to a also had features such as custom queries and correlation. Of course, none of this is to say that he adapt to your specific use case.

  • How to remove custom word replacement?

    My teenage son has done something on my phone.  Now, every time (on iPhone or on my Mac) when I type in a Word, it is replaced by this other sentence he typed in.  There I know not how to cancel anything, he did.

  • Server 2008 with customer connection XP errors

    After 6-12 hours of connection, I get the message


    "The system detected a possible attempt to compromise security" on sconnected XP workstation to a Server 2008.


    Player connections stop working until the workstation is disconnected and turn it back on.  Is this a problem with the server or client?  What resolutions are available?

  • HP2000 369wm: connected replacement screen, the screen remains black.

    Hi I'm new here, I tried to find the solution here, but I can't find what I'm looking for but anyway...

    My laptop had a broken screen so I used an external monitor via the vga input. One day I was messing around on the web and I got a virus that paralyzed the system that all frozen cuz then I thought that if I plugged in my phone that I could try to fix it, but eventually transmitting it to my phone, but luckily I could reset it. I thought that if I replaced my screen that I would be able to get the screen for boot sequence or something but the screen remains black and externally will not work. There is something lacking in me to use the primary monitor, I just put? Or is there a way I can format without being able to see? I'm sure that the virus all messed up my boot sequence, but without seeing the screen and unable to use external, I am at a loss.

  • Honest opinion on download or update drivers HP

    I just want to post my opinion on how disappointed I am with HP services to download drivers, and I really hope that it will go to the right ear.

    1.) manually from the Web site:

    -We ask you for your product AND serial keys, and yet you are offered drivers for the entire series, so you have to guess what wifi card you have, what GPU etc. Manuals also containing all possible combinations, so even once, guess or use certain Tools of information 3rd party hardware.

    Update of 2.) Windows:

    -half of them and/or he is happy with a default won't find Windows drivers

    3.), HP Support Assistant:

    -This utility looks like the first option you would use, yet she never yells at you that you have active guest account and simply identifies your CURRENT installed drivers, HP or Windows by default.     to be honest, it is quite expensive to replace laptop Lcd as a motherboard. Before I had a laptop with LCD broken and used the external monitor connected. You should contact Asp to get qualified service.

  • replacing existing ATE traditional PXI based ATE

    Hi all

    We use a traditional ATE equipped with traditional instruments for example transmissions cope, Agilent: switches; Mux; Matrix; DMM; Generating function, Chromaower supply, etc...

    I contacted OR to obtain praposal to replace these instruments OR instruments. The price of the products OR is higher than the traditional instruments of compratively. Now it's hard for me to propose this to my managemnt.

    Which in general; You people do to replace the traditional ATE with this new S/o, PXI?

    Can I use same digitizer for high channel count to replace measuremnt instrument such as scope, DMM?

    • DMM: PXI-4072 (I LOVE this DMM)

    • Switches/MUX: NOR has a good range of PXI switches that work well.  I wanted to play with of Pickering PXI switches, especially their BRIC.

    • Function generator: the PXI-5421 is a very good generator of arbitrary signals.

    • Power supplies: Agilent has a good series of modular power supplies (N6700 series).  You can put up to 4 power supply is a single 1U chassis and communicate with them via LAN.

    • I use Chroma electronic loads, but I don't really like them for situations that I was forced to use them.  They are really good for loads of constant currents, but I hate them for the constant resistance loads, unless you are less than 100 Ohms.  Always looking for alternatives.  Also glued using GPIB or serial communication.  I'm trying to push to the local network for cost reasons.

    • Oscilloscope: I found that the transmissions expanded are the best way to go.  It is really hard to replace a real screen on a scope that you can play with during troubleshooting.  And the means of integrated measures, I don't have to deal with the wave form myself.  Yet once, talk to her on local network.

    • Counter source (power supply with a multimeter accurate built in): been using the Keithley 2425.  Tempted to look at the NOR meters source especially because Keithley seems just refuse to go to the local network.  But it's a counter very good source.

    In my honest opinion, PXI has its place and have their own traditional instruments.  PXI is very good for the right instruments (switches, multiplexers, DMM, AWG, low current power supplies to).  But I find the traditional instruments are necessary for feeds that need to come out of the current charges and decent electronic (again, due to current needs).  I used scanning cards of EITHER before, but I always come back when I have to debug and how it is nice to have a real screen showing my waveforms and then be able to play with the sliders on the fly.

  • How can I replace a "cooked"?

    I was using my Xoom as an aid to navigation/traffic using Google Maps while driving a couple of weeks. The Sun beat down on the screen of the Xoom because it is in the passenger seat for several hours. It got very hot. I think I have fried the battery.

    A few things happened:

    • The battery oddly charges and what use it will suddenly empty.
    • The back of the Xoom is slightly distended on the right side.
    • There is a small area of the screen that has an interference figure. Probably where the LCD display is now in contact with the glass.

    Is it a simple misuse of the Xoom? I've seen a dismantling of the Xoom and replacing the battery seems simple. Maybe I'll do it after its 4G upgraded.

    I would definitely contact Motorola. I've looked everywhere in the specifications for the Xoom and see no mention of an operating temperature standard or a caution do not use the Xoom to sunlight. If the Xoom got hot, it must have a thermal switch that kills the power before any damage occurs. I know that my will is (the Droid2 GSM version) Motorola Milestone2 stop charging the battery if it becomes too hot to avoid damage like that. I guess they would do the same thing the Xoom.

    A device like this should be able to handle running continuous navigation indefinitely without causing damage. If this isn't the case, it's a huge design problem. I think you have damaged the battery, but in my honest opinion, you have nothing wrong that this should be covered by the warranty.
