Horizon 2 s - is able to upgrade RAM?

The 2s can evolve beyond 4 GB of RAM?

Good day and welcome to the community.

Flipping through the manual of your equipment:

http://download.Lenovo.com/consumer/desktop_pub/lenovo_horizon-2s_hmm_20140929.PDF

It is quite clear that the RAM is integrated (soldered) on the system board.

-There is no directions to remove/install RAM in Chapter 8 beginning on page 25 of the manual, and the system tray in the parts section beginning on page 45 manual shows a memory specification for each configuration of Board of Directors system (4 or 8 GB).

Bottom line: for upgrade of RAM, it looks like an exchange of Board of Directors system would be necessary.

Hope this helps to clarify.

Kind regards.

  • Tecra 8100 - upgrade RAM

There was a discussion here ("Tecra 8100 - upgrade RAM") on the upgrade memory.
He said that for TECRA 8000 - capacity maximum 256 MB memory (2 x 128). (unlike TECRA 8100 - which can be upgraded to 512)

Does anyone know if the BIOS change may allow 512 MB with TECRA 8000?

    Thanks in advance,

    Hello

I don t think that after updating the BIOS on the Tecra 8000, you will be able to use the 512 MB of memory.
Like you said you can use max 256 MB (2 x 128 MB SDRAM)

  • Upgrade RAM from 1 GB on Satellite 2405-221 is possible?

    Hello!

I am a merchant of the Italy. My client has a Notebook SATELLITE 2405-221 coming, as a gift, the United States. She would have to upgrade the RAM up to 1 GB. When I try to boot the PC with 1 GB of RAM on the edge, a message shows means that model thet supported maximum 512 MB of RAM. Is this possible? Is theree a BIOS upgrade version that allows you to expand memory up to 1 GB or there is a physical limit?

    Thanks for the reply!

    Alberto.

    Hello

No, I don't think you will be able to upgrade memory 1 GB after the update of the BIOS.
I studied a little on the net, and as you say this laptop was designed for the American market. You can upgrade the memory to 512 MB max.

I think that this module, that you can use to upgrade:
    KTT3614/256 256 MB PC2100 DDR SDRAM Memory

  • Upgrading RAM on Satellite P70-A104

    Hello

I just bought a laptop P70-A104 and I wonder if I can upgrade the RAM. Currently my laptop is having 8 GB of RAM, and I wonder if it is possible to upgrade to 16 GB and also if I am covered by insurance of portable.

Can you give me suggestions on how to do it and that the RAM is the ideal place to buy?

    Thank you.

    Hello

Specification for your laptop, I found here. As you can see RAM upgrade is possible, but you have access to two ports of RAM only, and you can use 2 x 8 GB of RAM.

I wasn't able to find the list with compatible Rams but for an another P70 compatible 8 GB of RAM a reference PA5104U-1M8G or Kingston part number KTT-S3CL / 8G so I think you can use it to upgrade RAM.

    Check it out.

Not only 8 GB is the limit is that the list of repair.

And not the video card is soldered to the card. The higher has only 1 GB of video and which requires an exchange of Board of Directors and that could be a costly upgrade. If you plan to play GTA V then you need to get a gaming laptop that meets these requirements.

  • HP Pavilion x 360-13-s195nr: upgrade RAM to HP Pavilion x 360-13-s195nr (ENERGY STAR)

Hi, I would like to know if I can upgrade the RAM on my specific laptop model. I know that there is only 1 slot of memory so I would replace the current module of ram of 4 GB with an 8 GB one.

Is this possible? Are there parts that are welded and tempt me to not be able to upgrade the ram and the system provides a module of 8 GB?

    Thank you!

    Hello

You have to decide from the outset and buy the right model, because the RAM is not scalable:

    2 SODIMM slots DDR3L-1600
    Support for DDR3L-1600
    Dual channel support
Supports up to 16384 MB maximum memory embedded system

  • Advisor to upgrade RAM to T430

    Dear,

I plan to upgrade RAM to my T430 with 4 GB RAM stick. I don't know which is the best between additional upgrade of another stick of RAM to 4 GB or 8 GB. I want my T430 running with RAM dual channel, so what should I choose for the best performance of my laptop?

Everyone has experienced this situation please take the time to give me your advice. Thank you very much.

I put two sticks of 8 GB in my DDR3 T430s. is now very expensive. I paid one more a few months, but I've seen 2x8GB 1600 MHz DDR3 for as little as $50 last week.

I agree that 16 GB may seem exaggerated, I think it will be long term option best and lowest cost. I now maximum RAM I can put in my T430s I have benefit from this extra RAM being able to minimize, or even completely disable paging. This makes my system run faster.

If I put in less RAM now, for example a single stick 4 GB or 8 GB, and then when I need to be upgraded in the future I'd RAM more of rest have of and DDR3 price would be probably much higher than today. (Consult prices of previous generation DDR2 today.) "I expect that the same thing will happen to DDR3 after DDR4 comes out.)

Yes, the manual says 8 GB is the maximum, but there are 2 slots and each can take a 8 GB, so we know that it is able to take the 16 concerts.

  • Tecra Z40 - A - the upgrade (RAM RAM)

    Hi all

Ordered little RAM to upgrade my Toshiba Tecra Z40 - A, but can not find, for the life of me, anything where you want to insert online.

I previously installed RAM under the keyboard (couple of clips holding it) and on the other, a small cover on the bottom, but the Z40 does not appear to be anywhere easily accessible.

Has anyone upgraded RAM on the Z40? Or is it a big no, no, because of the guarantee?

    Thank you
    Lance

Memory upgrade on this model Tecra is a bit complicated and, in my view, should not be done by the owner of the laptop. For some models of Ram upgrade can be done by the owner of the laptop and exact instructions how do proposed in document s user manuals, but not for your Tecra.

For full access to the RAM modules lower lid should be removed and it can be done by people of service only. If you do this alone you can void the warranty valid.
I recommend you contact the nearest Toshiba service provider in your country and ask for help or advice.

I'm having some trouble with my Portege 4000 for the moment. I installed XP on a disk, but will no longer have that I have 256 MB of RAM...

-Have you tried 2 manufacturers but the PC133 512 is not compatible. However, my system has an IBM of PC100 256 chip, which was bought early last year, after much trial and error, and I wonder now if the motherboard will be more suited to the PC100 and PC133 non?

    -Consider the options alternative to XP, 98SE or 2000 because they are lighter operating systems. I can put it on a spare drive (test).     The protégé 4000 is compatible with the PC133 modules! AFAIK, you can upgrade RAM of this notebook 1 GB (1024 MB) and you can use these modules;
    PC133 512 MB (PA3108U - 1 M 51)
    PC133 256 MB (PA3086U - 1 M 25)
    PC133 128 MB (PA3085U - 1 M 12)

You can create partitions on the HARD drive using a 3rd party like Partition Magic 8 tool. I use this tool and it's really nice.
After you create 2 or three partitions on the HARD disk, you could install different OS (operating systems).

  • Upgrade Ram on a Netbook NB200 - 00L

I gave to my two daughters a Netbook Toshiba NB200 - 00L. Both came loaded with Windows 7 Starter. If I just upgrade to Windows Home Premium, it will slow down computers. I was told that the maximum ram that can take netbooks is 1gig. However, I keep seeing that people are upgraded to 2gigs. I want to upgrade the ram so that Windows Home Premium will work better. Can someone enlighten me on this subject. Upgrading ram Home Premium support will be more effective? Also, is anyone Home Premium running on their netbooks without upgrading, and it is really slow? Thank you

    Hello

AFAIK NB200 can be upgraded to 2 GB of RAM. Therefore, you can check the specs on the Toshiba site!

I m not NB200 owner but I improved my other laptops equipped with modules from Kingston. I've never had a problem with these modules. They always run stable and don t make problems.
