  Hi - I could scream. The advice is very appreciated:

  I had a Hotmail account 'staff' for 15 years. About two years ago, I created a Hotmail account. Never used, but it is still 'live' and I want to start to use forgotten password. Recovery of MS has been useless. Essentially because the questions are all about "recent emails. The 'Final' advice is to create a new account (based on my personal)!

  You have been cheated by anyone other than yourself if you had only one copy that you are now missing.  It's a mantra that has not changed over the years of computer data. Backup... Backup... Backup copy.  Whatever happens - launch the backup of your data to another location that you control and trust you.  Do not do it, is cheating yourself.

  People these days are more dependent and confident in the 'cloud' - essentially your data stored on a server accessible from anywhere in the world you have * control * more.  Not to mention more and more people now rely on * free * services and then complain when something happens to these services, they decided to approve implicitly... not even thinking, "Hey - I was getting that free...» «or ' there's really nothing to link this account to me somehow if someone hacks it and erases everything / change my password reset answers...» »
