Hotmail Contact list
I am creating a group contact list in hotmail without success. The instructions say... Click here to open windows contacts, and then click new contact group... I don't see the new contact group on the toolbar. In fact there is nothing on the toolbar.
Help!
Hi Lewis,
Thanks for choosing Windows Vista community.
Here's how to create a contact group or what we now call as category in Windows Live Hotmail:
1. sign in to the Windows Live Hotmail website with your Windows Live ID.
2. in the left pane, click list of contacts.
3. in the action bar, in the categories menu, click new category.
4. next to name, enter a name for the new category.
5. If you want to add contacts to the new category, next to members, enter the contact's name or e-mail address of the contact you want to add.
6. click on save.
You can go through the link below.

I have this undelieverd more of 30 e-mail that link that contains a Trojan horse. These have been posted because some stole my hotmail contacts list and mailed these stars in my name.
I realize, this is a free account, but there should be a way to prevent this from happening. I know he stole because I used only one of the contacts yesterday and I accidentally misspelled the address and did not notice that the mail bounced.
This is not only annoying, but a major concern for me because I use internet to Social Affairs and to promote my books.
I hold in my Inbox mailbox so that you can access that person. I will also make this post with the Crimes on Federal Internet site, called IC3.

There is an unknown entry in my Hotmail Contact list
In my Hotmail contact list there is an entry called FunRoom; it is in bold. I didn't add this to my list of contacts. and I can't remove it. I can not see when I go to Contacts and open the list here. The only time I see it is if I'm composing a new message. Then when I click the 'to' address) I see the contact FunRoom. How can I delete?
I use Windows vista.
It's probably an invitation, check your list of invitations and refuse.

Hotmail contact list has been hijacked on 09/03/2010
My hotmail contact list has been hijacked on 09/03/2010 and is sending spams (viagra ads) to everyone in my contacts several times. I can't stop it. I run Microsoft Essentials, Norton 360 Suite and Malware, changed my password, but it is still happeneing. Help! What can I do to stop this?
Hello
Proceed to a very thorough check for malware and then change your password by e-mail.
It is possible for a person to send the email that 'seems' to be of your
account but that is not really - called "Spoofing." That means its 'Possible' emails
were not really you, although they may have your contact list. Have someone
who receives the e-mails to check the header to see where he is actually sent by and

Problem with Hotmail. Usually when I start typing an address that is in my contact list, he fills automatically. Now I just get a circle going round and round. If I go to my contact list and select the address and click 'send email' will initially, it disappears in a second or two. To send a message, I have to enter the entire e-mail address in the field "to". This problem started about a week or two ago and doesn't happen when I connect to Hotmail using Internet Explorer.
It left me speechless. Still the same problem. I noticed that sometimes the auto-fill starts working for a few seconds, then I get the spinning wheel.
I will try to spend some time on it this weekend. -
