Cannot recover gamertag

Hi, I made a microsoft Microsoft on Steam account to play Warhammer 40 k. He stuck to the top with a gamer tag and everthing. I tried to get it back on my Xbox, but I need to LIVE, so I got a gold membership card, but in order to use it, I need a gamertag. I tried to use my email, but it said that the email was already in use for another account. What should I do?

    Hello

I suggest you to follow these steps and check if that helps:

    Method 1:
Start the computer in safe mode and check if the same problem occurs:
    http://www.Microsoft.com/resources/documentation/Windows/XP/all/proddocs/en-us/boot_failsafe.mspx?mfr=true

    Method 2:
Try to perform the clean boot and check if it helps:

NOTE: When you are finished troubleshooting, make sure that put you the computer in start mode normal as suggested article above.

    It will be useful.

Knoppix is not installed on your PC; use only the resources of your PC, RAM, graphics etc.

Change the boot order in YOUR computer/laptop to the CD/DVD Drive 1st in the boot order.

Plug a Flash Drive/Memory Stick, BOOT with the Live CD, and you should be able to read the hard drive.

When the desktop loads, you will see at least two drive hard icons on the desktop (one for your hard drive) and one for the USB key.

Click on the icons of hard drive to open and to understand which drive is which.

Click the icon for the USB drive and click on "Actions > Change the read/write mode" so you can write to disk (it is read-only by default for security reasons).

Now to find the files you want to back up, just drag and drop them on the USB. When you're done, shut down the system and remove the USB key.

There is no Vista free download legal available.

Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.

See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.

Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...

Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.

  • Envy 14 K110nr: Cannot recover system recovery media, associated with PININST_BBV

I have a HP Evny 14 K110nr. In short, the system upgraded to Windows 10, started acting weird about a month after:
Lose access to resources (Task Manager, desktop, Control Panel, etc.)
Defective devices (wifi, bluetooth, etc.), suspended connections, System Restore gave a lot of mistakes.

Tried to fix the system, nothing worked (even the DISM restorhealth was not working and suspended 40%)

Long story short, I tried to recover the hd partition and could not complete successfully, same thing happened with my recovery media.

At the end of the recovery attempt, I get a BSOD and system resets. It was a loop like that for awhile.

Ran Diagnostics, no errors, but I suspect it was the HARD drive as the mentioned system errors on it before the collapse.

I replaced the HARD drive and started the process again, this time I have not received any BSOD, but after completitng, I get a message saying that the recovery was incomplete. Just now my system is a Clipboard and consider Ubuntu if I can't up the widows, but it makes no sense. I read through several threads that referred to this issue and I don't know if I've seen any absolute solution to this issue (none have worked for me so far). Here are a few:

If the problem persists I try to clean the optical drive, and then try using the recovery again.  You can try to clean it with compressed air or a disc to clean the disc. Also, check your disk recovery for stains or damage.

You can also try to boot any disk from Windows and reformatting the drive to start over with the recovery.

What is the problem with my computer. I can recover the contents of my hard drive. (I did a backup during recovery)

    Hello

You will need to replace the hard drive with a new one.

If your laptop is still under warranty, contact HP Total Care to a new hard drive you sent without cost to you. If this isn't the case, then it is time to buy a replacement hard drive.

You must locate your recovery disk series or usb recovery media that you have created in order to reinstall the operating system that was purchased with your laptop.

If you have not created the recovery media, then you will need to buy a set of HP or an HP partner. (for about $25.00)

  • Computer is crushed, lost CD, cannot recover the music

So my old computer crashed, and I had the music there from a CD I lost and no longer have. The CD is the 2nd disc of a soundtrack album 2 drives my brother created when I was small, and it doesn't have all of the music files left. I always have music from the first drive to a flash drive and managed to save it in my iTunes and sync it with my phone, but I can't recover the second disc, even if iTunes recognizes it is the first disc of the two and has the correct name under composer and artist. This music morally means a lot to me and it would be sad to lose him. Help please?

(The screenshot, I only changed the name of the album by adding the first word and the hyphen. Otherwise, the album is first of ALL! 1111one, composer and artist: Vartan Simonian, 18 titles, year 2008, disc 1 of 2. This part was saved from my last computer.)

There is always this music on your iPhone? If so see recover your iTunes from your iPod or an iOS device. According to your definition of accident, the media may still be on the hard drive of the older computer and may be recoverable, even if the computer starts. Make a backup of everything you get.

  • HP Envy 2000: upgrade Windows 10 failed, cannot recover Windows 8

I upgraded a friends laptop to Windows 8 to 10 of Windows, installing it was downloading on partition recovery and run out of room, I created a USB key from the recovery partition and then formatted recovery disk to see if that would solve the problem. Again, I tried the upgrade, everything went very well with the upgrade until it has restarted to complete the installation, then he projected black. Then I returned to a previous version of Windows but it didn't restore properly, I used the USB recovery that I created and after a diagnosis and try a few things I finally to reset. I then tried the upgrade again after checking that everything was fine, she doesn't have to install again. Now, I can't get Windows 8, I can start Recovery USB but when I choose to update or choose to reset the PC it says it fails, I have does not have this issue before, refreshed and reset without a problem the first time, but it does not work now. I do not have and did not change anything in the whole process, just tried to upgrade, then recovered, then tried to upgrade again, now the recovery does not work.

    Any ideas?

I solved it by running the clean command on drive C, and then he helped the method Reset PC works, then chose to repartition the disk. Completely restored by now.

  • Pavilion dv6t-2000 - cannot recover from the recovery partition

Hey there. I'm trying to restore my laptop with Win 7 settings, but I can't seem to restore from my recovery partition. I tried the F8, F11 key and on the ways to office with no luck. In some of them, recovery option is grayed out, but using the recovery on the Desktop Manager, I have recovery option, but he says to insert disk 1 before continuing. I have no disc and I already have a previous restoration set the last time I got my laptop (about 2 years ago).

When I click on my computer I see the c drive and d drive - what is labeled a recovery partition. I did a check of the recovery partition and there are no errors. It seems to work fine, except that my laptop is not to be used to recover. I know it's a major road, so I've never tested with it.

Any help you could give would be greatly appreciated

It is more likely that some of the files were corrupted on the recovery partition. At this point, since you have no recovery disc, I would phone HP to order recovery media.

  • Can not boot, BIOS freezes, cannot recover, cannot BIOS recover

    -HP Pavilion dv6-6145dx

    -Windows 7 64 bit

    No error message.

I recently got my laptop out for cleaning the keyboard (someone spilled a bit of a drink on this subject).  When the spill occurred I immediately turned off the laptop, took out the battery and put that face on a towel all excess moisture could elapse.

When I got to share, it doesn't seem to be significant damage from moisture to the MOBO, it was mostly isolated to the keyboard and I was able to clean it without incident, take care to discharge static electricity as I worked.

Put everything back together, but when you first start it hung at windows loading screen.  Tried to get into recovery mode, and it hung to the loading screen.  Tried to get into the BIOS, and it froze after the opening of the BIOS screen (clock was still ticking but the keyboard is unresponsive and I could not navigate the menus).  I even tried to access the recovery/update the BIOS by pressing Win + B when starting and even hung up and wouldn't move.

Totally at a loss, I can't find this broad on the forums...  People who either cannot start, cannot access BIOS, or something like that but not all of the above.  Off warranty now and I cannot afford to be dug by the computer repair man immediately if there is a chance that I can fix it.

Thank you, any help is appreciated massively.

Hello martialennans.  I understand that you are unable to get the laptop to boot.

Have you tried to do a hard reset?  It drains all the power of the laptop and forced hardware to reset them.  Here are the steps.

    1. Make sure the laptop is turned off.
    2. Remove the battery and AC power.
    3. Press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds, three times.
    4. Replace the battery and AC power.
    5. Try to start laptop.

Unfortunately, there are not many steps that experts will be able to offer for this kind of question.  This kind of problem is best diagnosed hands on and in person. It seems that the motherboard or other elements were probably damaged by the liquid in your case.  I suggest you take it to a local computer repair shop.  Many will diagnose the problem for you while you're in the store.  This would be the fastest method.

If you want to talk about the issue with the help of HP or to inquire about a repair, you can give them a call.  For the USA / the number of Canadian customers is 1-800-474-6836.  If you are in another domain, you must visit HP's Support around the world to find contact information for your region.

If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.  Have a great weekend.
