Hotspot Droid on Verizon RAZR problems

Hi all

Is anyone else having problems with the help of the RAZR as access point mobile on Verizon Wireless? I received new mt Droia RAZR last Thursday and have been a persistent problem of access to Web sites randomly when using the RAZR as a mobile hotspot. I have filed cases with Verizon and was back to Motorola customer of level 3. Level 3 support had take me several screenshots of sites hang up and support.

I bought the RAZR to replace a MIFI 2200 I used as my hotspot. Today, I had Verizon cancel the hotspot on the RAZR and reactivate my MYFI until some resolution is located. I would like more information about what is done to remedy this problem. I saw on other blogs that this problem is not unique to me. Also, it was of a "firmware update" massive ongoing issue of development, and Verizon mentions to me that an upgrade was due sometimes to mid-November.

News would be greatly appreciated.

  • Mail de Mac with Verizon email problem

On my iMac running OS 10.6.8 I suddenly receive emails from verizon.  E-mail works fine on my MacBook with OS 10.9.4.

Frequently, I'm unable to receive emails.  During this haplpens, I can still send email if I'm connected to the Internet.

It is not continuous but often enough to be a nuisance.

    What could be the problem.

    Mary Lou

I incorrectly described this problem.  I can't receive emails from verizon on my iMac running OS 10.6.8.  The rest of the description is accurate.  I can send but not receive.

This is the error message sent by my verizon account.

    "Impossible to receive mail.

There may be a problem with the mail server or the network.

Check the setting or the "email Verizon" account or try again.

The server returned the error: the attempt to send data to the server 'pop.verizon.net' failed. »

I checked and my incoming settings are correct.

  • Windows 7/SBS 2003 network complicated by Verizon router problem

I posted here ( http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-networking/windows-7-suddenly-wont-talk-to-sbs-2003-server/e8116774-6b4f-44d3-91cf-b10df236805a?tm=1405553282721 ) and at TechNet ( http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/1f8b8cbc-4b9d-4f68-981c-4c71e7a3f24a/windows-7-suddenly-wont-talk-to-sbs-2003-server-and-viceversa-possibly-dns-but-not-definite?forum=w7itpronetworking ) a problem that I was having with our Windows 7 computers suddenly losing connectivity to our SBS 2003 server. Someone posted a response (reboot our router), which worked, but only on a temporary basis. After turning off the router and turning on, we return connectivity for about 3 days, then we lose it once again, and you need to restart the router again.

I called Verizon and technology, I talked to allegations according to which the problem is that the SBS 2003 server do not have the server DNS and DHCP for the network - router Verizon should be. He claims that the fact that we have the Distribution of disabled on their router IP addresses means that the router never properly know where each address is assigned. The fact that it all worked until a week or two ago and it's only Windows 7 affected machines, it doesn't have an answer for.

His suggestions were A) disable DNS and DHCP on the SBS 2003 server and have both run through the router from Verizon, or B) assign static IP addresses to each machine. Recently what I know (I inherited this system from someone who left little or nothing in the way of technical notes) must be running on the SBS 2003 server since it is a DNS and DHCP domain controller. (B) seems possible, too long I note the static addresses on the server and the router.

This, however, does not really address the underlying problem. Somehow, I think there should be another, more easy way to do this job. All the more that, as I said, these Windows 7 machines are simply turn for about a year and only in the last week or two has started having this problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • two copies of e-mails show on my Droid a Verizon a Gmail. How to remove the Gmail?

I call Verizon a few times on this subject.  Each technology gives a different answer.  I'm sure this must be a transfer configuration either in my Verizon account or in Gmail I don't know which.  I would like you only want to see Verizon account.

If you look at the Inbox of the email account that you do not get the emails that you should be able to go into the settings by pressing Menu-> settings and be able to disable the Notifications setting.  This should stop the double notification.  I hope this helps.

  • OSX 10.11.3 can't VPN via AnyConnect 3.1.14018 iPhone6 ASA 5550 Verizon hotspot

I did a lot of research on this, found similar questions, but not this exact one.

I have a Mac OSX 10.11.3 using Cisco AnyConnect 3.1.14018.  It can VPN to our ASA version sw 8.2 (5) 55 perfectly fine on any LAN or Wifi.  He cannot complete a VPN connection using an iPhone to Verizon 6 running the latest iOS via mobile access point.  The VPN itself requires a certificate and a name of user and password (from the AD authentication).

During the attempt, on Mac, we get the error: client VPN could not check the IP forwarding table changes. A VPN connection can be established.

The connection can be established in other hotspots, Android on Verizon, IOS on AT & T, no problem.  IOS on Verizon?  Nope.  No luck with Verizon to support.

The only thing that stands in the firewall log when the connection attempt fails: group user IP <123.45.123.234>transmitting large package 1456 (line 1399).

    Any ideas?

    Thank you!

Please try to disable IPv.6 from the MAC interface

  • Problems connecting to Exchange with Droid 3

I have problems connecting to the Exchange Server in my company with my new Droid 3. I've updated the original Droid, who had no problem connecting. I noticed a difference between the old email on the Droid app and new on the Droid 3 is that the original app was a setting for «Allow all certificates» My company allows our own certificates, and I wonder if my problem may be related to that. I exported my certificate of my desktop and installed on the Droid 3, but appears not to have had any effect.

When I try to configure my e-mail via Corporate Sync account, I get an error: "cannot connect to the server. The server is running, and everything else can connect fine.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I installed (hopefully temporarily) touch to access my business account, but I prefer not having to pay for a feature I would have already.

    Thank you.

  • What to do if the Droid Razr recognizes not his ' Dock

After visiting the local VZ corporate, to fetch a long battery life for the imminent arrival of a Droid 3, my razr has ceased to recognize the dock.

Symptoms included don't not the home screen for the landscape when in the car or the House switching platform and not offering don't not the any option to dock in the docking station.

I erased the Motorola dock service cache, the cache of the homescreen as well as hide smart dock.

I rebooted the phone several times as well.

    Still no luck.

It appeared that the phone didn't know it is docked, as Dock options do not show up in the notification bar.

Some applications recognize the landscape orientation when it is docked, some do not. Once again, suggesting that he did not see the dock.

    The fix?

I then remembered that, when I plugged my Razr on the time of the first docking station, it did the same until the power cable is connected.

So I thought that the cable is not properly fixed. However, as he has been in charge, I initially reduced this as well.

Still, I thought it would be worth a test:

With the phone still plugged into the dock, I removed the power cable at the back of the dock and then reinsert.

It restarted the dock software and everything is back to normal.

    Easy, isn't it?

  • Droid2.1, My verizon Droid ate my contact list!

I had my list of old contacts copied on the Droid at Verizon, and it was fine for a week. But now, the contact list seems to be hidden from me.  If a contact calls me, I can see who is calling.  But I can't look for contact info or auto dial what is hidden) list of contacts.

Its because of your display settings.

  • Droid: How to change the types of contact or add contacts phone only (no sync gmail)?

I have a Motorola Droid on Verizon.  I use the file update Android 2.1 actions, and I have not rooted.  I have not loaded all the apps that modify the application contact or hook in there as I know.  The only application that I'm unsure about is Skype, which I believe is able to access the contacts, but does present itself as a type of contact.

    Problem:

I manually added a few contacts on the phone.  When I checked my gmail account, these contacts appeared in my gmail contacts list.  It is unacceptable that the many contacts that I need to put it in my phone can not be rejected (for legal reasons) in a Cloud Computing environment.

    Requested documentation:

I tried Google cela and have asked for help on the forums android on Freenode IRC chat channel.  I was unable to find a solution.

Tried solutions that does not work:

Only one user on Freenode referred to the possibility to click on the "Contact Type" at the top of the new user form to select other types of contact (on his HTC phone), but when I type on where it says, 'Google Contact,' no other options are provided, nor any generated interaction.

    Need of solution:

A way to enter a contact manually or via the file download, to produce phone only contacts who are NOT synchronized to my gmail account.

Hmmm.  If you go into the settings menu, click Accounts & sync, select an account and disable the synchronization of Contact (supposed Google account), manually create a new contact on the phone, will be this new contact on the phone or be synchronized into the cloud?  (He did not personally, but my hope is that it should not sync.)  I have three accounts of GMail on my phone and only synchronize contacts to one of them.  Contacts in the other two accounts do not seem to come and go. -Mark

  • Droid questions w / Micro-USB

A couple of days my Droid began to experience problems. It was fine for a month or two, but randomly, he realizes the connected USB sound several times over and over, even sound like he was interrupted.

Now it is having a few problems where when it is plugged, or USB, either in the wall charger, white light flashes several times, and if the screen isn't, she flashes the little lightning "charge" quickly with light. Sometimes when it's plugged in it is not even picking up a load now.

I don't know what exactly could be the cause, or if Verizon will be much help, if I try to take over the phone. I opted out of insurance, because Asurion is a huge scam. I tried hard reset the phone, but I do not have factory reset. Fortunately, he is remained connected long enough today for me back up.

Any suggestions on how to fix this? Either software or hardware, and if it is material, if Verizon will be back if I go back to the store? I have had it for about 5 weeks now. I was told that there is one year warranty on the phone, but I can't go without my phone for several weeks while he will send out ot Motorola and waiting to get he'll call back.

    Help please.

    That sucks.

I live in Las Vegas. I go to the store on Sainte-Rose and Eastern VZW in Lowes shopping center. There is at least 3 representatives here who know their stuff inside and outside. I went in a VZW store near my work at the South end of the Strip to buy my Droid and waited for a long time... too long... so I left and went to the location of Sainte-Rose, where I bought my previous Motorola.

BTW... where you're going to where the service sucks?

  • Droid slowed down recently.

I don't know what is the cause or what I can do about it, but it's the situation I have. I got my droid from verizon since it came out and didn't have a problem until a day ago. I was using handcent sms and when I text the text was very slow, I could get a few words in front of the text and will have to wait to send text. My screen switch has also been slow. I also used opened the House for awhile and feel a slow downs. Now I don't know what I did but I deleted off the coast of several applications, including handcent sms and the phone is still slow. My Messenger of stock is fine, and the text is better but still takes longer than usual to open a thread. The fact that it is slow must be something besides that apps running normally with applications for so long so I do not know the cause of the problem. I also had a lot of force closes the House and other programs.

Any ideas to increase performance? Can I restore my phone until I got it?

the antivirus service apparently slowed mine BIG time. I removed it, and things are accelerating significantly.

  • WiFi signal is weak on razr maxx

When I connect to my home network using wifi, the signal is very weak, unless I am under 5 feet of my router. I use a router with valet with the software up to date. Other people in my House have other droid models and no problems with the signal strength. I tried all the other routers and I get the same result, so I know that's not just my router.

    Does anyone have any suggestions?
