  Sorry to hear about the time long impression (exceptionally)!

  While I tend to agree with you that it looks like a network problem, there may be one or two things we can check.

  I've noticed that I personally also had problems with my home network and my hp printer if I use a DHCP assigned IP address server: the problem with DHCP addresses assigned is that the printer can get a * new * IP addresses after having been turned off, etc... that still confuses your PC on your network, because now they think that the printer is on x.x.x.x and it is now really on x.x.x.y.

  IP addresses static for the printer is probably the best way to go (but this is just my opinion).

  Some troubleshooting tips:

  If both PC's connected to the router (1 fastprint, 1 slowprint):

  -Invert the wires between the PC and see if the problem results from the PC or follows the thread.

  For the laptop slow-printing:

  -Disable the antennea cell phones (usually it's a WIFI button on the laptop or maybe an icon on the taskbar).

  -Connect the cable to the router directly on the mobile phone.

  -Assuming that the laptop gets addressed IP assigned and everything is connected, try the print job again.

  [If you still have the same problems with printing on the same PC, so the problem points to a bad configuration on each router/machine]

  [If printting time increases dramatically after completing the steps above, then this points to a problem with wiring or misconfigured network address]

  You can also check each configuration of portable PC/computer printer properties:

  In the "Devices and Printers" folder, click on the right click on the printer icon & select "printer properties".

  -Click on the "Advanced" tab and ensure that "spool print documents'... and"Starts printing immediately"are checked.

  -If you have changed this, apply & save settings and try again.

  ++ Snow... you've noticed something missing jumps in my first answer: RESET the unit!

  -Yes, sometimes simply unplug of power (to the wall) and let it reset for 10 minutes or so, can get back to a working state.

  I worked on a project for 15 hours. I have manually save every 5-10 minutes (command + S) and automatic backup.  When I went to open my project, opened what was yesterday - all work today was gone!  I found my AutoSave folder and open the most recent stop, but it was about 5 hours before.  I can't afford to lose all of this recent work... There must be somewhere, right?  Please help if you can.

  Are you sure it was the most recent? File names get reused in rotation. You have checked the time, right?

  Depends on. Did you select immediately remove or secure erase option. The latter could easily take hours to days depending on the size of the user's Home folder. Of course, still a base deletion can take some time for a large number of files. Be patient. If ever completed, and then try to shut down the computer and restart. Then do an Empty Trash by CTRL - or RIGHT click on the Recycle Bin and selecting this option.

  Restore point:

  Knoppix is not installed on your PC; use only the resources of your PC, RAM, graphics etc.

  Change the boot order in YOUR computer/laptop to the CD/DVD Drive 1^st in the boot order.

  Plug a Flash Drive/Memory Stick, BOOT with the Live CD, and you should be able to read the hard drive.

  When the desktop loads, you will see at least two drive hard icons on the desktop (one for your hard drive) and one for the USB key.

  Click on the icons of hard drive to open and to understand which drive is which.

  Click the icon for the USB drive and click on "Actions > Change the read/write mode" so you can write to disk (it is read-only by default for security reasons).

  Now to find the files you want to back up, just drag and drop them on the USB. When you're done, shut down the system and remove the USB key.

  I don't know that you understand some of your 'SAVE' solutions for Sketch now.  When creative applications get so that we forget to hit the registration key, it is one thing, but sketch isn't a button 'save' like Photoshop desktop.

  MY SAVINGS SOLUTIONS FOR SKETCH

  There is, of course, no CMD / CTRL + S for the app.  Therefore, rely on other methods to avoid losing work because of accidents of iOS.

  Connect to the CreativeCloud / Upload

  • If you are connected to your CC account, you can send your file in your CC file every few minutes.
  • If you are connected to CC and have got or Ps open, you can send them to your application (even if you're not in front of it)

  Not connected / not Online

  • If you don't have a connection at your disposal, get out your sketch in the project panel every few minutes. This should save the data locally, and even a collision, your file should always be on the iPad.

  These don't help you recover data from your drop-off point, but at least you can go back to a recent save point.  I usually save every 20 minutes on the desktop.  I probably would shorten it 10 min on iPad... when I remember.
