How can I activate my master password option in the options/securitypassword tab?

I am opting to create a master password to protect my password used on the line. When you go to the tab options/security/words of past, I not give me the option (dimmed) check the box of the option 'remember passwords for site' and yet there are the passwords in my list. In addition, when I chose to create a master password, it allows me to check this box takes me to the creation of password screen and then offers me the 'OK' button (grayed out) when I'm done.

I checked my anti-virus program and all other settings in Firefox and I am unable to discren why he let me not to complete this process and why I can not check the box "Remember passwords for sites", although there are passwords already in my list of "saved passwords".

Any help appreciated.

Make sure that you run not Firefox in private browsing mode (permanent) (don't forget the story never).

  • Tools > Options > privacy > Firefox will be: "use the custom settings for history".
  • Uncheck the box: [] "always use the navigation mode private.

How the pref signon.rememberSignons does not appear on the topic: config page?

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).

  • Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode without failure.
