  I just finished using Easy Transfer from XP on a Win7 machine on another PC and find that almost ALL of my documents, spreadsheets and Access databases has been changed read-only.  I changed a couple of them to full access through the Properties menu, etc. and many prefer to be able to do on a global scale as I speak of hundreds of files that have been changed by this transfer.

  It just seemed to me that all I really need to do is to find a way to change MY profile for equal to that of the admin. I did it just for a few files and these files are no longer read-only... !  I hesitate to change my system to an ADMIN login for security reasons.   I also changed the attributes of the lowest subfolder, then the above it and then I can open all of the files in these folders in r/w mode...

  So, is it possible to automate change the attributes of all files folder and subfolders?

  Hi Fred

  Yes, you must be connected to a Director profile.

  If all these files that you want to remove the read-only attribute on the D: drive, perform the following steps. Use these commands exactly as written, including spaces.

  1. open the elevated command prompt by using the profile administrator.

  The location should display C:\Windows\system32 >

  2 type cd\

  Press ENTER

  The location should now show C:\ >

  3. Type  D:

  Press ENTER

  4 location should now show D:\ >

  5 type attrib - r *. * /s /d

  Press ENTER

  This should remove the read-only attribute of all folders and files on that drive.

  Thank you very much for your suggestions! They finally gave me the direction I go solve the problems I had. Basically, the Mac Book Pro based Lightroom irdata files still had thumbnails. Once I removed the and redirected Lightroom external hard disk, smart previews of the external drive work when the player is well off the MBP. Much obliged.

  I was wondering if you have any suggestions on how to backup all the files content and related data of Lightroom that exists on the external hard drive to another external hard drive as a backup? Ideally, it would be great if I could be able to launch security HD since the Mac Book Pro and do the work of Lightroom with the backup image files and intelligent previews correctly. Thanks again. • I can't change the read only files on my NAS unit.

  I have a promise SmartStore MS4300n Network Attached Storage system that I have used for more than two years. I can access it from my Windows Xp and my 64 bit Windows 7 computer. Yesterday, I tried to move some files from my Win 7 to the NAS and I find that I can't copy on it. I can move my Win 7 7 NAS files. When I look at the properties of the files on the NAS, they all are now READ ONLY. When I try to change it tells me I don't have permission. I am the only user and I am logged in as admin. Yet once it has started here yesterday.
  If I access the NAS since my XP I can copy data to the NAS even if properties files are READ only.

  The problem is clearly with WINDOWS 7, how to fix it, it work well before and I need to use this device to check my belongings.

  OK, looks like I fixed it. I found that even though I have my computer set up to run all updates automatically I checked windows update and found five that had not been installed. After that I ran the update now can I copy files to my SIN again.

  Current releases (29 and following) the orange Firefox menu button has been replaced by the bar of three Firefox Menu button at the right end of the Navigation bar in Firefox and this button are always visible if the Menu bar is visible or hidden.

  You can have the bar of menus visible through the context menu of a toolbar to have the menus as the file menu, print, print (Ctrl + P) and the bookmarks and history with the tools.

  You can enable or disable switch title bar via the "Title bar" button at the bottom left in the palette to customize window.

  If you are referring to the actual size of the maps, it automatically changes with the size of the game window.  Just drag the border to adapt to the size you want.
