  Try a boot minimum http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135.  If the problem goes away then it's just a matter of tracking down the culprit at the origin of the problem.   Follow the procedures described in the article.  Once found, remove, delete, disable or uninstall.  Once don't forget to reset yout system back to the normal state, as described in the procedures. If the problem occurs in clean mode then just restore the system to normal and reboot - this solution will not work.  If you are using XP, see: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310353.

  The leader of the tab is to set tabs, not the column widths. In your screenshot, however, I can see that there is a right indent located on the current paragraph, if there is an active text cursor, or the default value if there is no active cursor, as evidenced by the triangle to the left of your red circle. Drag this triangle to the right to reduce the dash (or difficulty settings, which is a better way to go).

  I want a text to fit in a specific area, so I drag with the text tool to make a box the width, I need.  I type in my text and find now that the box is too large.  It's okay if I want to narrower or shorter - how can I change the size and shape?

  I tried the Selection tool (black arrow), the direct Selection (white arrow) tool and the text tool.  All I managed to do moves the area around available.

  I tried the free transformation and liquidation tool to distort the text.

  It's a simple thing.  I don't know that I used to be able to do it in Illustrator 6.  Please tell me how to change the size of a text box.  I guess this will have an impact on the way in which the text will wrap.

  Where do you see a "black background" in iTunes?  You can include a screenshot?

  Command-shift-4 to take a screenshot of the portion of the screen showing the problem.  Then drag the files to screenshot (which appears on the desktop of your Mac) in your reply in the Safari window message.
