  I moved from Windows XP to Ubuntu (YES!). I used TB on XP and I was able to pass my address book with all my contacts information by copying and pasting the abook.mab file. But I seem to have lost (or at least, I am currently out) the group lists that I had created using this address book. Where this information is stored and how it transfer to tuberculosis in Ubuntu? Is it as simple as a copy of another specific file or I have to extract and then import information from some files? These group lists were almost as important as the address book and I made the assumption (Yes, I know!) Group of the list of information to be part of the address book. Any help would be appreciated!   Problem solved: my bad! Group lists * are * actually there in the abook.mab file, there was just a small arrow next to the label of "Personal address book" that I had to click to view. Sorry about that.

  And I started digging a little further in the former #appdata # files and found a file called history.mab. I copied it in all, and now I have my "collected addresses" back too.

  It is difficult to understand what you're trying to do. You can create a group and send an email to the group in any mail client. The recipients can use any e-mail provider or an e-mail client to receive e-mail. Please explain in more detail what you are trying to accomplish.

  Open the address book window.
  You have a directory pane list down the left margin with your listed books?
  If this is not the case, the menu bar, select View-Layout-directory pane.

  In the directory pane, you can select the folder for one of your books.

  To add a contact press on the new Contact button and fill in the form.

  If you want to add a contact from an e-mail that you received, you need to work from the header of the Message or message open in a tab pane.
  When you view the header of a received message, there will be a star to the right of the address of the sender. If the star is filled with color the contact is already in one of your books. Clicking on a star not filled it will add to the personal address book
  By clicking on a color filled with stars will open the edit contact dialog box where you can add details to the contact or change the book it is saved in.
  This isn't the same star to the left of the subject line of message in the Inbox.

  The two default address books are staff and collected books.

  You have three distinct identities before and now they are all in an identity? If so, you need to remove two of the accounts in tools | Accounts. Then back on the main page of the OE, go to go to file | Identities | Add the new identity and add a return to and then repeat the procedure for the third.
