  Assuming that the stills for animation are numbered sequentially, do not import as a bunch of individual pictures. On the contrary, in the applicant for the import, select the FIRST image only, then look for the box that says "Image Sequence" at the bottom left. Check that, then open.   Try the following and see if it helps.
