  First of all please always post the name of your laptop because people don't know how to help you if you n t say anything on your notebook series!

  However if the sound does not appear and you cannot hear anything, check in your device manager if the sound card driver has been properly installed.
  Besides in-> sound and audio devices control panel you can check if the unique options such as mute is off and other volume controls are set to a higher level!

  Satellite M70 does not support this feature in the BIOS!
  This means that you will not be able to disable the SATA feature!

  As Akuma, you need to install the SATA driver first.
  You can do this by using the USB external floppy drive or you will create the new CD of Win XP and will include the SATA driver using the free tool called nLite.

  So if you don t have an external USB FDD drive, you can use nLite.
