How can I do to open new tabs to my homepage?

The last update has made so many new tabs open to the page with tiles of my frequently visited sites, I'd rather new tabs open to my home page. The menu "New controls tabs" includes options for the tiles of best sites and a blank page, but nothing else. I made the topic: config thing but that doesn't seem to work.

The pref browser.newtab.url is no longer supported in Firefox 41 and later, so you can no longer use this to set the new tab page.

You can watch this extension if you use the home page as the new tab page.

You can watch this extension to set the new tab page:

You can set the parameter URL new tab through Options/preferences of the extension on the subject: addons page.

Restorer of classic theme includes this feature as well.
In current versions of CTR (1.3.9+), you will find "the Url of the page new tab ' in the section tabs (1).

You can use these special pages for the new tab page or use the URL of a web page.
the new default tab with the tiles page is on: newtab

  • the default homepage is Subject: Home
  • to a blank page, you can use Subject: vacuum
  • Super Start, you can use topic: superstart

Yes, the balls are always a problem because they do not have three buttons on the mouse and you cannot Middle-click.

You can always try to click on the "Restore default" button in the window customize if you want to have all the toolbar buttons in the default position.

Hello strandedtxgirly, you can install the addon Search reset , or manually reset the new tab page by entering Subject: config in the address bar of firefox (confirmed the message information where it appears), seeking the preference named browser.newtab.url and right click and reset it to its default value (Subject: newtab).

Please check if this happens in a new profile. If the new profile is correct, you can later copy the necessary personal data of the old profile. Firefox stores your personal data and settings in a different location (folder profile) separated from its files/folder. A new profile would default Firefox settings (Tools (Alt + T) > Options, and topic: config ) and usually also would be vacuum of Extensions and themes (appearance) in tools > Add-ons) and their parameters. In addition, a new profile would have no previous website stored data/settings etc, (Tools > clear recent history).

I want my home page to open to my home page every time I open my browser. I think the browser's save my previous session tabs, but I'm not sure. I really started having aggravated with this browser and I love firefox... Please help me solve this problem.

    To access the Tools menu:

Firefox, as well as a number of Windows programs, will show the menus (file, editing, display etc.) bar when you press the ALT key. You can then choose "Options" in the Tools menu.
Otherwise, click 'Options' in the menu Firefox Button.

(If you do not want to keep the bar menus around without pressing Alt, click the arrow next to 'Options' and choose 'Menu Bar'. The Firefox button will be replaced by the menu bar).

    Set your home page:

Open the Options Panel and select the "Général" tab if it is not already. You can change what happening "When Firefox starts" there.

Here is a workaround without need of any add-on:

-> Open Firefox and type Subject: config in the address bar

    • When you see a warning, click I'll be careful, I promise you

-> On the filter bar at the top of the topic: config page, type in browser.tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent

    • preference browser.tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent , click Toggle -> it is now set to False

-> Close Firefox and restart Firefox

Check and tell if its working.
