  How slow is slow? For example, my machine (e-machine E4264 2.2 ghz with 2 GB RAM) boots in 95 seconds. For me, I call it, in the average. I am currently in the process of looking for a new machine because it is already 3 years old, so maybe that OEN will be slightly faster to start.

  What you can 'turn off' will depend on which in fact initially launches upward and, unfortunately, you have not told us that at this moment. Is that you should not disable your anti software anti-virus (updater). nothing to do with your mouse and your keyboard etc.

  Perhaps, if you made a list of what application are actually being run at startup (via the msconfig Startup tab) can someone take a look at them and see if, or what can be disabled.

  Otherwise, you might take a glance at Startup Delayer http://www.r2.com.au/software.php?page=2&show=startdelay to see if you can delay the time different applications load to allow windows to start up more quickly. I haven't used so I can't say how good/bad it is.  It's a freeware.

  Beat a dead horse... Whenever I need "missing images", in LR4.2, I can't access it, even if I'm looking to the right of the location that they presntly occupy thye picture was ALREADY in a CATALOG OTHER.

  HOW frustrating it is... going on 8 months now. But I need pictures and I guess I could just go back and 10,000 images that are missing in my collections to reprocess but I tried a lot of solutions offered in the months that are just not practical.

  So now, I want to approach this thing from the other direction...

  If Let's say a single image is already associated with another catalog which houses this collection, (and the collection is important because there changes), I want to go instead of this catalogue.

  How can I do this?

  Any ideas?

  Now, I see the video. AFAICT the message, it's not telling you that the image concerned is also imported into another catalog. You say that you already have an image version different within this current catalog, which already makes reference to the same physical file, you're trying to re - adjust the offline image to.

  This duplicate version is (I'm 90% sure) the result of a re - import at some point after you have transferred the data in the new computer. The proof will be if the two folder/drive locations appear in the records of LR.

  Say there is an [X] image that becomes an orphan, because the location of its source [A] file is no longer available.

  As has been explained, the right solution is to update the location information - it is easier to do in the record IMO, or a whole folder, instead of an image - tree so that the image [X] beyond knows to use the location [B] instead of [A] location. Incidentally, this means [A] record disappears from the list of files to LR and folder [B] appears here.

  However the situation is badly knotted up so instead to the foregoing, the [B] file is imported as fresh images, creating a new and separate image [are] pointing to the same file moved this image [X] used to use in the old location (for example).

  [X] is still in all of your Collections already made and has all its changes etc., but (with no now accessible at A location source file) cannot be used.  [There] was all or part x edits, will not be in one of your Collections, but works otherwise - because she doesn't have a working reference to the image file to location B.

  If you now try to redirect Web image [X] notebook file B, Lightroom rightly complains: ' you already have image [is] referring to this file!

  So if you delete these (I guess, superfluous) additional imports of LR - the backup catalog first and do NOT choose Remove them the disc! -LR will no longer have any reason to block you re - treating your images established and thus put online.

  I wonder if referring to pictures only through Collections (as in the video), one would tend to miss what's going on with these physical folder locations? It may be useful (even if you do not pay much attention to the location of the files, otherwise as LR allows rightly) - to select "Go to folder in the library" against a given image, for repairs in such cases.

  Simply contact the Tech Support directly. Go to the 'Support' page in the menu bar of NOR. They can tell you. Or, you can install all the software, providing the serial number, try to turn it on and see if it works.

  One option is to create smart albums. Open the pictures, use the Smart Album new file menu item and set the Album condition isn't everything. This album displays then only photos that are not in one other than the new Smart Album album.

  First date format, which is comonly used in the United States.

  It would be March 10, 2011

  F.1a would be more recent.

  If F.1A high more BIOS version listed, it would be the latest version.

  Please read the release notes to see if you still need Flash the BIOS.

  If there is a link that says "available previous versions, click on that and you will see the list of revisions from the newest to the oldest at the bottom.

  Unfortunately, the ability to detect songs of the playlist is not available in Windows Media Player. You can use third party software to do the same.

  This is different from say if there are any available updates, or if a line is dirty. IE, if a specific attribute or a component has changed.

  Oddly enough, JSF isChanged() method of a component always reports by default, even if the content component changes. According to an article by Lucas Jellema, http://technology.amis.nl/blog/4223/adf-11g-use-the-changed-indicator-to-make-ajax-originated-value-refresh-explicit-to-the-user, the Changed value field must be updated manually, which seems odd to me. The article goes on to describe how to set these values programmatically.

The problem is that I'm not sure how to convert this code example showing a dirty row to show a dirty attribute. My biggest problem is that the QueryCollection.getViewObjectImpl the .notifyRowUpdated () method signature has changed. the code example does compile anymore; and I do not know how to follow the Bug # 4547474.

  I guess that isDirty returns true if the attribute definition has changed, not the value. It's on AttributeDef, so it cannot logically be used for changing values. Use isAttributeChanged for your purpose
