  You should know what type of program is supposed to be used to open this file - and this program must be installed on your computer.

  What kind of file is it?  What is the file extension (3 or 4 characters after the point)?

  If you know what type of program is needed and you already have this program installed, the best way to create the association is

  • find a file with the extension in question
  • Right click on it
  • Select "open with > choose program.
  • Select the correct application of the list
  • Check the box "always use the program selected to open this type of file"
  • Click OK.

  If the program you need is not in the list, click on the "Browse" button and locate the program exe file in C:\Program Files.

  I use LR 5.7.1 on a Mac.

  When I've airbrushed raw with PS CC images (and do not need file PSD more) I export the PSD (which is in my catalog) in JPG format and let it automatically add to my catalog. After that, I remove the PSD file. Which works very well.

  But... the new JPG file is not assigned to any collection. This is no problem unless I forgot to do it manually after export (and import).

  This brings me to my question.

  How can I find photographs that are not assigned to any collection?

  I tried with a smart collection after I found nothing suitable in the filter library. The search criteria, I tried are Source-> Collection with any of the conditions. One with an empty field, then with just a space and so on.

  Does anyone have a good tip for me?

  You can also add numbers if you have collections that do not use characters of the alphabet.

  This only 2 items returned, which is much less than the expected result.

  I think that would test the first copy of this header, rather than those in the various sections MIME.

  However, I use Thunderbird to capture junk spam control settings, so are not really the issue that you want to filter. Have you set up and trained your filter auto junk removal of these emails to junk.

After the crash recovery (Windows had written on some parts of the disc but recovered most of the things, however, they were put to the States as if they had just been installed), Thunderbird did something I've been unhappy with & I reinstalled it. When I did it I did not select IPOP or IMAP but come with IMAP, I had never used before and knew nothing of. However, now after reading about IMAP & have consumed with Comcast, I don't like it intensely - it is slow and cumbersome and cannot me save emails with all the parts for them permanently. I did have the time to continue so far. How can I return to the use of IPOP?

  POP and IMAP are the two inbound messaging protocols.
  SMTP is the outgoing mail protocol.

  Maybe when Apple invents its own protocol of e-mail it will be iPOP as all other iSomethings

  There is not currently a feature to display the photos in the library are not in an album anywhere. It would be a very useful feature and we have tabled the request of product management so that it should be considered in a future version.

  I think that this problem is caused due to the media now the application, as a work around I suggest to uninstall and reinstall the application Media now in compatibility mode and check if it makes a difference.

  I use structured system subfolder to keep my organized emails (hundreds and hundreds of folders).
  When I do a search, get the list of results and in this list, I found the email I was after, HOW can I find the message? In other words, how can I open the folder that contains this particular email?

  Right click on a folder, search for Messages, and then click 'Search subfolders', then enter the selection criteria, search, search for a result in the lower pane, then 'open folder '. The message is opened in the Message pane and the containing folder is highlighted in the folders pane.

  It isn't a global search and location does not show the full folder path, but it is another option. Note that the location column can also be displayed in the message search window.
