  I was very dissatisfied with Acrobat (slow as hell) XI, while I immediately uninstalled it with the Acrobat uninstaller in the Utilities folder.

  After the reboot the Mac and even after uninstalling the cloud creative app, using the cleaning tool Adobe and so on, now, in the CC - app 'Acrobat' is still displayed as "installed".

  If I had to (I tried to get rid of this entry) reinstall Acrobat there is no possibility to do so.   If this does not work:

  1. Enter about: config in the address bar
  2. Click I'll be careful, I promise you if prompted
  3. In the filter field, type Startup
  4. Double click on startup.homepage_override_url
  5. Delete the text string, and then click OK
  6. Close Firefox and reopen the window to check that it worked.
