  The quick solution is to click on the folder that contains the missing files and choose "update folder location" and then search for the file on the USB drive. The longer term and fix, you must apply is to configure Windows to always give the same drive letter USB. You can do this through the XP disk management application in the management of the computer (the control panel applet). The following screenshot is for XP and Vista and Win 7 will be something similar which is accessed via the administrative tools (see second screenshot).

  Check the permissions on your user files. Looks like you have not allowed to save there who HAVE requires that the last thing that made when closing is to write the current version of the preferences.

  Try to perform the clean boot on the computer and check if that helps.

  Since you are not the original poster - and this thread is since September 2009, almost a year ago - I don't know anything about your computer or its issues. If you do not have the same problem as the OP and try to install an older version of Roxio Easy Media Creator in Vista, then the answer is the same for you: buy a current version program that will do what you want. Scanning is managed by your printer/scanner software. How manipulate recorded images is then up to you to do some image editing programs. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  The Slate7 is not able to connect to an external keyboard via USB.

  It works fine with Bluetooth keyboards.  I use a lot with my Slate7.

  The USB port is loading and connection to a computer for synchronization and file transfer.
