How can I get a recovery CD without all the programs pre-installed on A85?

My father spent $800 on a laptop Toshiba A85 (June 2005). His laptop computer has been running slowly most of the time, I made 3 re - installed for him it did not help, it is OK for the first month, but it starts to crawl when starting and simple tasks like opening explore seem to take forever.

OS running slow is incumbent not only on the laptop to the manufacturer, but much more on the user itself. I agree that some things about the recovery image is absolutely useless, but you can simply remove the system everything you think you don t need.

No you don't have to have on your system. Remove everything simply. Another problem is the user himself. I know many users who install each software garbage as possible and then wonder if the system is soft.

I recommend you to check what antivir software you use because many of them slow OS and take too long in the beginning. Also check the list of startup items. Many of them are not important at the start and can be launched separately if necessary.

Google, a little bit and you will find many useful articles how system run faster.

    Five 5 DVD CD? Why so much of? Well, they all contain the installation program (including drivers) for you to grab the device to the factory settings.

    If someoe bought a Windows 7 DVD in the store, they will receive ONLY 1 disc and it is the Windows 7 installation disc that contains packed (or compressed in one direction) files for Windows 7 only, no real drivers.

    After installing Windows 7, you need all the drivers for your machine then Office Starter (if you could find it now). You also need something to protect your computer as a software virus or Windows Security Essentials.

    These are recovery disks made by the recovery discs sent by HP?  They will not work in a different system (you will receive an error message), but you are able to get the boot floppies in a different system?  They should be able to start up to a point where the error message will be displayed.
