  Hello retabox, welcome.

  It would seem that the installer is corrupted. I recommend trying to use the Windows Installer Cleanup utility to force - to remove the application. Try this:
  1. go to: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301
  2. click on the download link in the middle of the page
  3. save the file to your desktop or just click Run the installation of the application
  4. once the application is installed, open the utility. The utility must be located in the menu START under (START > programs > Windows Installer...)
  5. in the utility, find the application you want to uninstall, and then click the button 'delete' below
  6. once removed, restart the computer and see if you can reinstall the application

  You can share a folder on your XP by the listed method: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/304040

  Others have an option to connect to your pc as a guest, to make interactive you will need to click on start-> run, type &-> gpedit.msc

  Navigate to Computer Configuration-> Windows settings-> Security-> Security Option settings. On the right side, look for-> ' access network: model sharing and security for local accounts "-> double click and select-> classic-Local user authenticate.

  Now another pc you can access this computer and you will be asked for the username and password.

  I get a window of surf canyon to appear on my desktop. I checked in my control panel and features program and it does not appear there.   According to a screen shot I've seen online, when you are in the Control Panel, uninstall a program, you are looking for is called Fast Search. It might be easier to click on the column heading "installed on" to bring the most recent infections, I mean additions, upward. I hope that here uninstallation will remove the Firefox and IE as well.

  You see the icon hot sync (circle with red and blue arrows) at the bottom right of your computer screen? Y does it have an arrow with the option "Show hidden icons"? If you do not see here, hot sync will be disabled and you will keep this message (the connection between your device and the desktop could not be established...).

  To activate the program hot sync again, click Start > programs / all > Palm OS Desktop/Palm One > Hot Sync Manager. It will take about 5 to 10 seconds and the icon will be there even once.

  Synchronization should now pass. When you start to sync'ing, the computer will ask, "he has no username associated with that account...". "Select your old username and then all these news will pick up on your palm.
