How can I get rid of the history that appears when I open a new tab?

When I open a new tab, I had a bunch of places I've been before. I don't want that. I don't need people to see where I've been by the images showing on the page. so, how can I get these gone?

Oh sorry, the link to locate the profile folder (designating the user.js file) is in the article profiles - where Firefox stores your bookmarks, passwords and other user data .

If you don't like to reset, follow these steps: go in firefox > addons > extensions and remove any suspicious entries (toolbars, the things that you have not installed intentionally, I don't know what purpose they serve, etc.). also, go to the windows control panel / programs and remove all toolbars or potentially unwanted software from there and run a full scan of your system with the security software you have in place and various other tools such as the free version of malwarebytes & adwcleaner.

How can I get rid of the box that appears when you start Firefox 'Restore previous Session'?

Subject: House is the default in Firefox 4 home page - look at the address bar containing the addresses of web page - it is the container for Google search, with a 'extract container' and below these elements is the Previous Session Restore button. It's not the same homepage that previous versions of Firefox used (although it is similar in appearance), it is a 'local' page that won't load the Internet.

Set this page as your home page, which is what Firefox 3.6 and earlier versions had for the default home page. He has Previous Session Restore button/link.

  • How can I get rid of the private browsing page when you open a new private window?

When I opened a private page of private browsing navigation appears and says this:

    Private browsing

Firefox don't remember the history of this window.

In a private browsing window, Firefox will retain all the history of the browser, search history, download history, form web history, cookies or temporary internet files. However, files you download and bookmarks you make will be kept.

To stop private browsing, you can close this window.

While this computer will not have a record of your browsing history, your internet service provider or your employer can always track the pages you visit.

I want to get rid of this suggestion?

It is not possible to get rid of this page in normal mode.
However, you do not get this page if you start Firefox in private browsing permanent mode (don't remember history).

    • Tools > Options > privacy > Firefox will be: "Use the custom settings for history": "always use the private browsing mode.

You can use an extension for private browsing mode support tab.

  • How can I get rid of the button that appears when I'm annoying scrolling?

This button is apparently intended to speed up browsing in a document, page, Web site or by e-mail. In my opinion he appears unexpectedly, often substitute my entry and is causing me problems. I don't want that, don't not where it comes from, do not know how to get rid of him. It's just more masturbation programmer, IMHO.

Do you mean the automatic scrolling of the page button?

    • Tools > Options > advanced > general: "use autoscrolling".

You get this automatic scroll button when you click with the scroll wheel of the mouse on a web page.

  • How can I reset the page that appears when I open a new tab "white"?

MySearchDial reset my settings in several browsers. I deleted the program, I set my home page and removed the site from the list of engines of research possible, but when I opened a new tab "in white", it always opens with MySearchDial features. I tried the SearchReset extension, it did not work. I tried the subject: config newtab url, that does not work either.

    How to reset it?

Could you take a second look at everything: config?

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (2) in the search above the list box, type or paste newtab and make a pause so that the list is filtered

    (3) If you check the browser.newtab.url preference, what is he on? These are the typical things:

    • (Default) page thumbnails = > subject: newtab
    • Blank tab = > subject: empty
    • Built-in Firefox homepage = > topic: welcome
    • Any other page = > full URL of the page

If it is already set correctly, but still, you get a white page MySearchDial, one of your other extensions may be the problem.

You can consult, disable and/or remove extensions on page modules. Either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then, when in doubt, turn off...

If it indicates that it is locked or refuses to save the changes, Check Control Panel, uninstall a program for a program called research protect and remove that. Locked preference may also indicate the presence of a mozilla.cfg file. If you think that, please post back for more information, by simply removing this file can cause problems.

    Hi all!

I hope you can help me solve this problem: when I create a PDF file with Acrobat Pro from Word (latest version), I get sharps that appear in the PDF file. I looked in my Word file to see if I could highlight some 'ghost' pound sign, but found nothing.

You know the reason for this, and how can I solve this problem?

THANKS in advance to those who respond.

    Hi Bill,

I came this morning with a fresh perspective to the problem and have solved the problem: I realized that the text was in Cambria, so I changed it to the reliable Times New Roman. I created the PDF and book NO signs appeared scattered in the PDF file.

    Aye, fonts!

Thanks for the reply and have a great day!
