How can I get Thunderbird to launch at startup?

When I start my computer, I noticed that I need to manually start Thunderbird.

Would be nice if on the next version, an option in the menu 'Options', tab or a check box would be included to allow Thunderbird launch automatically.

This way users can either select or deselect their personal preference of automatically, or manually start Thunderbird.

No, it depends on your operating system. In Windows, you must put a shortcut to Thunderbird in your startup folder. Under Linux, it's something like Start | System | Preferences | Startup applications.

Some users do via the batch file, with delays so that automatic startup programs don't all run at a time and consume excessive access to processor and hard drive.

  • How can I get Thunderbird for me to choose the SMTP that IMAP when reinstalling after a system crash?

    I had a crash of the system Jan. After the crash recovery (Windows had written on some parts of the disc but recovered most of the things, however, they were put to the States as if they had just been installed), Thunderbird did something I've been unhappy with & I reinstalled it. When I did it I did not select IPOP or IMAP but come with IMAP, I had never used before and knew nothing of. However, now after reading about IMAP & have consumed with Comcast, I don't like it intensely - it is slow and cumbersome and cannot me save emails with all the parts for them permanently. I did have the time to continue so far. How can I return to the use of IPOP?

    POP and IMAP are the two inbound messaging protocols.
    SMTP is the outgoing mail protocol.

    Maybe when Apple invents its own protocol of e-mail it will be iPOP as all other iSomethings

  • How can I get the feature 'Launch' catalog portal on the customer portal?

    Hi all

    I hope it's an easy question for someone more technical than me...

    We use v9.1.4 catalog portal and as the link to 'Launch' on the VM details screen, which allows the user to launch a virtual machine directly in the console.

    What we do not like, is that we cannot mark the portal catalog...

    We love the features of the customer portal and its "brandability", but we do not like that you can't launch a virtual machine shape...

    How can I copy the CatP to "Launch" feature to the CustP?

    I had a quick glance in the html code, but I couldn't see anything obvious - I'm not a very technical person! When I looked in the screen Designer, I can see the "Launch" button and the link on the Config Item details for the virtual machine screen, but its not editable. I do not see in it at all in the active Portal Catalog screen...

    Would be a good wanting someone to point me in the right direction?

    Thank you very much

    H

    It seems that you need to replace LiteAssetReview_VM.js

    function ShowHideConsoleButton()
    {
     if ((!jQuery.browser.msie && !jQuery.browser.mozilla) || jQuery("#CATALOG_PORTAL").val() != "True")
     {
     jQuery("#LaunchContainer").hide();
     }
    }

    Create a Custom_LiteAssetReview.js and add this in

    function ShowHideConsoleButton()
    {
     if ((!jQuery.browser.msie && !jQuery.browser.mozilla))
     {
     jQuery("#LaunchContainer").hide();
     }
    }

    I have not tested this, but I guess that if you uncheck the box for catalogue it will appear on the customer portal.

  • How can I get Firefox to launch Thunderbird, using Tbird biff?

    I used Biff for years, but now it does not start Tbird. I omitted the Tbird address in Ffox Biff client Options, but after that I added it Tbird has still not started. What's wrong? What Miss me?

    Yes, it is installed at the same time.
    However, I found my problem. I had to check Firefox/Tools/Add-Ons/Thunderbird biff/Options/check "Start default e-mail Client" and enter the path "path to the executable file of Thunderbird.
    My problem was that I thought that I HAD ticked this box and entered the correct path.
    Is there a combination of choices that could reduce to naught these choices?

  • When I send a message, how can I get Thunderbird to save it in a local folder, not "sent"?

    I use pop. I have a number of local folders where I want to store messages on specific topics. I can move there messages in my Inbox and I can move there messages sent from the folder "sent" on the mail server, but it's tedious. When I was with Pegasus mail, I could set up so that every time that I sent a message he would ask me where to save it, and I found it really useful. Is there such a feature in Thunderbird? If so, I have not found. I can't even see how to redirect messages sent to my Local Outbox folder.

    Thanks for your help.

    Tony

    Tools / account settings / Copies & folders "when sending a message...". »

    Outbox is a system box for messages that must be sent later. If you are working offline, or you decide to send later, they will remain in the Outbox until the envoys and then moved to "sent" folder.

    POP is sent is a local folder. but under the local-file account.

  • How can I get Thunderbird to stop blocking all my messages... I have to go into options and accept each

    I would like to know where to change this setting.

    As Thunderbird is not blocking e-mails, I'm sure you don't want to block all my messages.

    Maybe you say Thunderbird is blocking remote content which it pays to safe guard your security and your privacy, for very obvious reasons.

    In this case, you would see a message "to protect your privacy, Thunderbird has blocked a remote content in this message.
    The 'options' button gives you a few options.
    You can choose to:

    allow the remote content for that message only

    or always allow for that particular e-mail address.

    You can also disable remote content blocking, although this is not recommended - the risk is your take. Please, do not assume the e-mail analysis will cover you.

    Tools > Options > privacy
    or
    Menu icon > Options > Options > privacy

    • "Content of mail slot
    • Select: "allow remote content in messages.
    • Click OK

    Please read this before you select the option to turn off - you must be clear about what he does.
