How can I log on as an administrator on a Vista system

I can not download other applications software, because I'm not connected my Vista system as a system administrator. Can you tell me how I can get around this since I did not have the ability to create the profile?

Thank you!

Can't do.  You must be an administrator to do.  Talk to an administrator and ask them to upgrade you to a standard user to administrator and that will fix the problem (or ask one to do anything, you need done that only an administrator can do).

Sorry I can't be more help, but that "how Vista works.  You try to circumvent the policies in place and we can not help you - talk to your responsible for the problem.

Good luck!

After reviewing the issue, put the computer into Normal mode.
Uninstall or update the program that is causing the problem.

If this does not work, let us try to restore your computer to a previous state of safe mode.
Follow the instructions below to restore your computer to a previous state.

    1. Click Start, type system restore in the search box, and then click System Restore in the list programs.
    2. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.
    3. in the System Restore dialog box, click Next.
    4. in the list of restore points, click a restore point created at least a week before the current date, and then click Next.

Note: If you do not find a restore point that is aged for at least a week, select the first point of restoration that is available.
    5. click on finish.
    6. the computer restarts. The system files and settings are returned to the State they were when the restore point was created.

Check whether the problem is resolved.

I suggest that you create a restore point before you follow the instructions below.
How to manually create a restore point?

1 open the system by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking system and Maintenance, and then click System.
    2. in the left pane, click System Protection. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
    3. click on the tab System Protection and then click on create.

In the System Protection dialog box, type a description, and then click on create.

You can also try to remove the entry by using bcdedit command in Vista by following the links below.
    1. click on start.
    2. type cmd and click with the right button on cmd.exe to select run as administrator.
    3. Enter the following text.

    bcdedit [{ID}] /deletevalue datatatype

The {ID} is the GUID associated with the start-up input. If you do not specify a {ID}, the command changes the current operating system boot entry. If a boot entry is specified, the GUID associated with the start-up input must be enclosed in braces {}. To view the GUIDs for all active startup entries, use the bcdedit/enum command.

Plug the Flash drive.  Go to start / computer and find your USB drive listed there.  Find what you want to record on the FlashDrive (from other units identified in Explorer) and copy / them (CTRL + C) and then go to your USB key and click it to open it and press Ctrl + V to paste the files.  That's all there is to it.  You can create folders to store files, like flash drives have limits on the number of files can be stored in the root directory (but not folders).

  • How can I Log In to account in second Partition?

On my Windows XP PRO, I have a side for the journal of my wife with a password that works very well. However, on the other side where I suppose that is to connect to be asked a password. I've never set up a password on my side of the partition. So, how can we set up a password on my side of the partition? Thank you.

    Mandatory NAG on Windows XP:

Windows XP has not been supported since April 8, 2014.  It became increasingly dangerous to use a Windows XP computer that is connected to the Internet.  Many third-party programs stopped working with Windows XP and a growing number of secure web sites (e.g., banks) will no longer work with Internet Explorer 8, which is the latest version of Internet Explorer available for Windows XP.

    • Sign in to the account of your wife.
    • Click Start and select Control Panel
      • If you see "Select a category", click on "User accounts" and then click on "User accounts" under the heading "or an icon from the control panel.
      • If you see a collection of icons, click twice on "user accounts".
    • You should a screen which, among other things, displays an icon for each user account on the computer.
      • Is your wife "computer administrator" or "limited user"?
    • If your wife is a "computer administrator", then proceed as follows:
      • Click on your account
      • On the next screen, click on 'Change password' or 'delete the password '.
      • Follow the rest of the on-screen instructions to complete the operation and then close the control panel
    • If your wife is a 'Limited' account, then proceed as follows:
      • Click Start and then log off
      • To the home screen (where you see the icons for both accounts), press CTRL + ALT + DELETE twice
      • You should see the 'classic' on the window, which includes an area for 'User name' and 'Password' area-
      • Type "Administrator" (without the quotes) in the username box and leave the password empty box.  Click OK.
      • You should now be connected to the built-in Administrator account where you can follow the steps under "If your wife is a"computer administrator"

Furthermore, the word "partition" is not the right word to use in this context.  This word has a specific meaning with regard to computers that has nothing to do with several user accounts on a standard Windows computer.
