  Look closely.  It should be under file > processing of multiple files.  Make sure you don't overwrite your original files.

  If a single file, make a copy of the file, create your image in a separate layer and reduce the opacity.  Then flatten image and save it.

What I want to do is to save their State whenever the program is closed so that if you reopen the project without changing the material you don't have to re-enter the calibration values. Can someone tell me how this can be done automatically?

  I know that this can be done manually by saying to each control to set the current value to its default value, but I'd rather not have to do whenever we change the calibration constants. Ideally, the user does not have to use the context menus like this.

  There is no simple way to define the embedded document in Acrobat scale factor - it's something that would be set by the authoring software when the plan was traced first, and if missing then to change the scale of the tool updates the PDF header tags permanently.

These images must have rounded edges that are identical to those of the div used in Dreamweaver. However, in order to round off the corners, I use the marquee selection tool, smoothing it then reversing and severed. The problem is that I don't know how to create images to exactly the same size, as I judge by eye. Could someone enlighten me on a method that could solve my dilemma, or give me a suggestion on how to get a solution?

  PS I am currently using Photoshop CS5.1

  The tool provides an option of fixed size.  Maybe that might help.

  

  Other thoughts may be helpful...

  • You might want to try the snap to Pixels option.
  • You can make a selection from the path that is created with this tool, then use Image - culture.
  • You can make a layer mask with the selection or remove the corners using the inverse of the selection.
