How can I match a set of 1 d (line) in a 2D (grid) image data?

I'm still relatively new to LabView and would appreciate advice or guidance.

In my system, data were obtained based on the distance only (time too, but I can worry about that later).  The result is a measure of the intensity depending on the distance, I (z).  In reality, my 1 d line is not straight, it is presented in the form of a grid, I know the precise dimensions of the.  I would like to create an image that shows the intensity in the shape of this grid, I(x,y).

My first attempt was starting with a blank image and assigning lines/columns of pixels a colour (temperature) according to the measured value.  But I had little luck with that so far.

Can anyone offer some advice on how I can create such a 2D image?  How can I map a line in a form of arbitrary grid?

Thank you

Aaron

Initialize an array 2D with zeros and keep in in a shift register. using "replace table subset", replace elements according to 2D scaling indices (x, y) with the current value of the temperature (z). See how far you get...
