  You don't move applications from one computer to another, install you them.  If you want to remove from your machine to olde you should first disable it (help-> Deactivate).  But given that you are allowed to have the software installed and enabled on both machines, you might not want to.

  I designed a few metadata customized to help create a new schema, and (thanks Wes!) did appear in the prelude and first. I can tag images in Prelude and use these metadata in the first. However, when I try to use this metadata even on a different machine, this information does not appear. I tried to create the exact same "Custom schema" on the second machine.

  I want to ask a person to camera in the tag field their sequences when they ingest the CF card to an external drive (or two!). I want them to tag using my custom schema. Then, they put off the drive to an editor, working on a different machine, which also needs to read the metadata for the custom schema. I can't seem to get this information is displayed on the second machine.

  The film will be shot AF100 and Canon 5 d, if that makes a difference.

  When you create a custom schema, the definition is stored in an XML file. You should move this XML file for the second system, revive prelude/first and you can activate the schema of the metadata Panel metadata display dialog box. Now you can see the schema and metadata.

  Note that the folder inside the Application support/Adobe XMP may not exist until you create a custom schema. On your second system, looks like you already tried that so you should have this folder here. If you had not done that the XMP file may not exist, the way to get started to create a new metadata schema temporary (you can remove the definition of temp .xml, after you have created).
