How can I re - download Sierra?

The App Store won't let me not re-download Sierra because I already did, however I had returned to El Capitan a backup due to some problem, write over the Sierra. Now I thought I downloaded and cannot do once again, apparently. Is there a workaround solution that does not involve the implementation of a whole new system or something?

Look in your Applications folder, or on an external drive for install macOS Sierra. It does not download again if she sees that it is on your computer somewhere.
